I am going to the university of Texas in the fall and the winters are average around 55 and the summers get to 95-103 easy so man that must suck how do you get to class if it gets 55 degrees people just stay in bed and if it snows they cancel all classes so have fun in the snow and HOOK EM HORN * TEXAS
The ice cickles are huge and take it from me don't try to lick one. I did that at the University of Alaska when my parents were going there and I got my tongue stuck to it. Boy did that hurt
@Shizzymcgee The very closest is Hilltop, about 5 miles, but not much to write home about. Alyeska is a world class mountain but is about a 40 minute drive from UAA (still in the city limits though- Anchorage is the largest city in the US by land size- check US census, over 1700 sq. miles). There is also Alpenglow, about 15 minutes from UAA at Arctic Valley, but it is only a little bigger than Hilltop. Come check it out!
I'm a senior at the University of Florida and when we have our winters here (in the low 40's mid 30's) it's so hard for us to get up and go to class! I can't even imagine how you guys make it to class and don't stay in your warm beds! Burrr
I"m glad I live in San Francisco now, where there is no snow ever. I find snow like that to be depressing. Used to live on the East Coast where we got lots of snow sometiems. It makes me feel like I'm too poor to live in a place with better weather, hence depressing.
I actually want to go to the University of Anchorage Alaska. I plan on majoring in Political Science and possibly minoring in Economics. Is it quite expensive to go there?
Im planning of going into History most likely WWII era, and if I can I wanna also do Music because I heard UAA is great for both of them. Im goin because of that, do some winter sporting (most likely snowboarding), and because I just want to get as far away from here haha, so what are you planning going into?
SNOW!!! i love snow, I'm from the north and we usually always had it, now i live in NC and we don't get ANY snow EVER. I was also born in alaska, i want to go back!!
Is alaska liberal?? Like, are they prejudice against minorities/gays/out of staters?? I wanna go there, but I dont know much about the people. Are they nice?
I live in Alaska, and I'd have to say that people here are pretty accepting. It's really boring here since we don't have amusement parks and such, but the scenery is nice, i guess. Hope you decide to come here =)
No bro, I think roxas12590 thinks that you get to make pretty pictures and design cute posters when you go there. I guess he thinks theres a "collage" major there, lol.
Adrian, did you ever get lost? When do you get a chance to wear your trainers?(sneakers) what do you do for fun? Is it hard to get to sleep with the 6 month change? What times do the stores close there? Say, " too many questions, shhhhhhhhhh!"
