Why argue abolut christ? is this what he would have wanted, us to follow him but not love all? we are all one in christ!:) im a catholic and im drawn to the orthodox church. The popes in history did have many heracies, involving genocide against native americans with the spanish, and the inquizition, but christ wouldnt approve of that. he wants us to follow him not man(heirachy) but the holy spirit worship christ in your own way. be happy. and also im a catholic. and i enjoyed the video:)

Individuals took part in the genocide, The Church never ordered them to be killed. Trust me I'm a product of The Colonial Period (Taino, West African, Spaniard and Lord knows what else). BTW I'm Puerto Rican and I to am drawn to The Divine Liturgy.

Pope is not Christ but simply a Patriarch of the West, Bishop of Rome...later to declare his primacy they invented been the representative of Saint Peter and because Peter was the one of the first Apostoles thus the Pope must be the first. Head of the Church is only Jesus Christ. All others Bishops are in place and type of Christ and nothing else.

There are three Patriarchs Orthodox one of Alexandria, one for Antiohia and one for Jerusalem...the Antiochian one been an Arab himeshelf...thus is time to unite with him and leave the heretic Pope to His heresies.

And there are many heresies that Pope is involved...head of State, primacy, never false, etc...

exactly my friend...we must distinct that...because Melkites (and all those using the Orthodox tradition under Rome so called Uniates) are not in Communion with the Orthodox Churches and here is the controvacy...RC dont give the Holy blood to the faithfull and the bread is unleaven where Orthodox (including Uniates) distribute Body and Blood of Christ and of course leaven bread.

RC and also unites accept primacy of Pope where Orthodox are equals...for many reasons.

mmm the point is that the Melkite Patriarch is not only in Communion but takes part in the Papal Synod...so as RCC recognises only the Pope as Head everybody else is UNDER the Pope. So by recognising the Authority of tha Roman Pontific you are under him.

In Orthodox Church every Patriarch is independent and equal to the others. The Melkite Patriarch is lesser than the Pope and schismatic to the other Orthodox Patriarch.

Leave Rome and come back to Orthodoxy united with the Antiochian Patriarchate.

Every Patriarch is independent & equal to the others? So who leads who? Who follows who? It seems like everybody is directing and leading, and at the same time everybody is following. That is why the Orthodox church never walk in one path because every Patriarch is leading and everyone of them leads differently and towards different direction. thats why in modern day we can find different Orthodox church professing theology and dogma differently & are oppose one another...

If Orthodox believers consider Jesus Christ as the Sole Leader of all Orthodox churches, then they suppose to consider other Christian deno like Protestant equal to their church hence it is not wrong for Orthodox to worship in Baptist church, to receive Holy Bread(Eucarist) in Lutheran church or even to be confirmed(Chrism) in Anglican church because all of these churches consider christ as their sole leader.

The pope is only a vicar of Christ on earth as the Apostle Peters Successor. He is not Christ Himself hence not God, but he is beyond man by his Holy Office. This is our belief as Catholic Christian. This form of "communion" has made Christianity the most ununified religion on earth. This has leads the church in a situation of condemning, anathematizing, etc.. one another. One of the worst example is the incident that took place at The Church of The Holy Sepulchre, when Armenian & Greek Orthodox monks kicks, punches, and pushes one another in the very church. The 2nd Vatican Council does not put the Traditional Latin Mass in a state of invalid. Bishops are still able to choose weather to use the Traditional one or the simplified one. The most important to this is those simplification does not implied to Eastern Catholic who use Eastern Liturgy, and thus safeguarding their own right and Liturgy as Eastern Catholic. Even though they recocgnise the Pope as their Spiritual Leader on earth, The Vatican still honour their ecclesiastical jurisdiction..

Tradition never past. The Tridentine Mass is still celebrated by Catholics in many places, although they comprise only minority. Like in my country, many congregation around the world still celebrate this Trdentine Mass every sunday and Churchs membership is increasing every year. Eventhough the majority of Catholics today uses the Novus Ordo, but a large minority of traditionalist Catholics still celebrate this Tridentine Mass and thus ensuring the continuity of this everlasting Tradition..

hey !! u didn't hear anytime about the Greek Catholic community ???!! it's a large community in Ukrain, Lebanon, Russia, Greece, Slovakia, France .. and many country in all over the world, the use the orienatal rite in general the orthodox one !

Greek Catholics were in a full communion with the orthodox, untill year 17.. where a group of orthodox named themselves as melkite ( origine from Syriac ) and they elected there own Patriarch, orthodox refuses this Patriarch and Rome accept it !

The Catholic Church is not just the Church of Rome. There are other Eastern Catholic Churches who are not schismatic, they are perfectly obedient to the Holy Father.
