@yanivporzanski She's not abusing them, that's how their mothers carry them. It releases endorphins from the back of the neck and makes them happy, just like regular felines.
I don't like how rough she was handleing them. I know the scruff doesn't hurt them, but still T_T they're babies! they need cuddles!!! I WILL GO TO RUSSIA AND CUDDLE THESE BABIES!!!
shes quite rough with the cubs, how she aligns them to pose for pictures, not exactly how little animals should be handled, and im not getting into the rest of the video.... cant imagine a good future for those little felines
@eatsunson No, "puma" is just another name for mountain lions. And mountain lions are brownish with black and white markings on thier faces. You might be thinking of a panther...I think they're black but I'm not sure.
Alright lets render them helpless when they're young so they won't have the willpower to fightback when they're older. This video is very disappointing.
@minicutebear the bucket thing is actually what you do for poppies kittens ect for like every animal you don't want them running around when you transport them they can hurt themselves and one person chasing 3-4 jaguar kittens would be a bitch
These cubs are an example of nature's beauty, sadly many people only see them as something to be hunted. For the record, no, I'm not with PETA. They spit in the faces of animal lovers with their bullshit propaganda and the killing of innocent pets. They also support the slaughter of Pitbulls.
You'd think these zoo employees would be trained to say, "we give/donate the cubs to other zoos," rather than admitting to selling these animals. By the looks of the mother's enclosure, I hope the zoo uses the cub profits to build something with fewer rusty bars and MasterLocks...
@PennyDreadfuI i agree with you! unfortunatly zoos usually take animals from their natural habbitat to be shown in zoos, so they run a business with animals for the most part (except when they take in animals in danger, etc). I hope they take care of these cute animals at least!
@TheMightyLu Tell that to the San Diego Zoo that does far more than St. Petersburg when it comes to truly "sustaining a species" and doesn't sell its animals...
@PennyDreadfuI Why would they donate them to another business which are going to be making money off of them later? Doesn't make sense, unless the zoos they are donating them to are free for the public. Would you donate a new TV to Bestbuy so they can sell it?
@PennyDreadfuI why would you be trained to say something that is a flat out lie? Anyways, it's to the benefit of the cubs, since they will then be mated to individuals they are not related to.
@fowad27 You must be new to the world of business. Welcome! Peons and drones are trained every day the world over to avoid disclosing damning information that could be harmful to the employer's interests.
@PennyDreadfuI there is a difference between lying and not telling the whole truth. The rep can't say that they're giving the cubs away; they are accountable if they say that.
@PennyDreadfuI since when is it strange for zoos to sell animals to other zoos which are seen as their competitors, nothing out of the ordinary about that. Not to mention, the mother's enclosure that you see here is probably a temporary one where they give birth or are monitored afterwards, as I've been to the St.Petersburg Zoo and the enclosures people usually see are massive.
@PennyDreadfuI Totally agree that what we see in this video is a sad and pathetic excuse for a big cat habitat. I really do hope that there is something much nicer we are not seeing on camera. Sigh.

not all countries have the resources to keep their animals in a five star zoo. Get a grip !
portinaribe 9 months ago
I really hope that they stop having cubs. The babys should be put back in to the wild. To re-populate there...
Zoo's are STUPID and a waste of money. And it's very cruel to the animals there.
Zoo's should ONLY exist for animals that can no longer live in the wild.
I will NEVER support such a cruel way of life, and go to the Zoo.

@PennyDreadfuI I do not believe that money will not be stolen. Corruption in our country are enormous.
The zoo received a lot of money from the budget, but the animals continue to live in appalling conditions.

Good will isn't enough to feed the cubs, clean the cages and pay for their vet bills when your trying to sustain a species.
