  • @redogsal Good work on making it! I guess it takes some practice. But it came out guite good so was worth it!

  • how tall was snapper bottle?

  • can i use hardening clay?

  • wat are the materials needed ??

  • thx i got 1st place in my 4th grade science fair!

  • @Mr3dsTube great job! grats

  • @epicfantasy Thank GOD for people like you! The world needs more people like you!

  • i dont onderstand the ingredients for that pasta... cant you please tell me

  • @xiiomara97 EIther hydrocal or Plaster of Paris come with instructions. Just add some water.

  • What kind of paint did you use?!? Waterbase or oilbase...

  • @Msjuicy9731 I used waterbased. But you ahve got to coat it with some kind of a sealer so it doesn't run.

  • Wheres the explosion???

  • can i use joint compound instead of plaster of paris please anwser

  • @FPSJ3FF I am not sure but I dont think so. You could use paper mache though. Its just flour and water. I have a vid for that too.

  • i have a exhibition in my school so i hav to show it many times so i need drain out all the magma so any ideas how to drain it

    pls reply :):(

  • @TheShreyas2 cutting the hole in the bottom makes it very easy to just remove the bottle and empty it.

  • @epicfantasy -- ya thts ok but my question was - i wanted the magma which comes out, to drain easily and i wanted ur ideas as ill be showing it in the exhibition and i hav to show it many times so i needed ideas from u as u did it awesomely

    pls reply :):(

  • @TheShreyas2 I would just make it pretty sturdy so you can tip it and dump the stuff out. Would be pretty easy to do that. Then wipe it dry with paper towels.

  • @epicfantasy thnks sir

ill post my after i do it

  • THANKS THIS WAS VERY HELPFUL...IM SURE MY NIECE WILL GET AN A!!!!

  • How long did you have to dry the plaster Paris thingy?

  • When you finish plastering and painting it.... Do you take the inside newspaper out or do you just leave it in? By the way thank you for anawering my other question so quickly. I'm doing a school project and it's coming along really well. Thank you for your easy to follow guide. It's so simple to follow! :)

  • Cool I'm going to do that for the fair

  • What do I use to make it errupt. I'm working on a school project. Thanks. It looks really cool by the way! :)

  • @rainbowskittles30 you mix baking soda and vinegar in it. I have more instructions on my website!

  • @epicfantasy Ok I'll try it. Thank you!

  • After you put some paper towel on it.... How long will it take so I can now paint?

  • @DavelTheAwesomenes a couple of hours, but use a fan or hair dryer and it will dry much faster.

  • Umm...When you made this project, did you include taping the plastic bottle with the plastic bag?

    Please Answer my question :(

  • @DavelTheAwesomenes sorry I dont remember. I think you don't tape the plastic to the bottle so you can remove it. Is that it?

  • @epicfantasy

Ummm. I mean that did you include taping the plastic bottle from the crumpled newspaper?

  • And BTW Thank you!

  • thanks so much this is soo good, i'll definatly use this for my project

  • where's the fact sheet on your website

  • @gnery85 I will send you the link.

  • can u use newspaper pieces for the mache part

  • @786adi7861 yes, newspaper pieces are good.

  • were do u get the mache from?

  • how many layers of mache should you put on it?

  • @TrueSplash More layers means more strength. 1 will be ok, but two is better.

  • how long dos it take to dry?

  • @many29many29many29 Overnight, but if you point a fan at it only an hour.

  • thanks man

this helped me on a project

  • goood job, it helped me on my project.

  • Hey how are u? Just wanted to if i can used flour dough instead of plster paris as the shell?

  • @SuperHarsha14 You can use flour and water to make a paper mache volcano. I ahve a vid here somewhere.

  • cool!!!!!!!!!!

  • do u need a glass bottle

  • thx great vid XD

  • Is it a must that u have to use Plaster of Paris?? Cant i use some kind of glue that stick well if i dont wont any reaction to be done?? plz reply!!

  • CAN I MAKE A WATER PROOF ONE? I'M PLANNING TO PUT IT IN AN AQUARIUM

  • @gtariman03 NOt out of these materails. You probably have to use some kind of hardening clay. Maybe super sculpey or something/ I am not sure on this.

  • @epicfantasy i saw a $9 in petsmart.. so i dont hav 2 make 1

  • See when he means mess free.... he means only when firing it up not building it!!

  • @Warriormpw Yhay Ur Right was going t6o make it for my daughter but u know yha this suck I can do better. Iagree to you 100 o/o so yha bye!

  • @CoolGurl81 I tried building it with tooth picks and when i did it a tooth pick came flying out and hurt me and then the boddle broke and got all over my table and tooke be about a week to clean it!

  • !!!!!!!!!!!! Doah? The smoking kind? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • sucky quality

  • i wanted to see the eruptuion part

  • Cn I ask u how long in total this took to make?

  • @Pillot21Productions I dont remember. Maybe 2 hours? but it takes overnight for the paper mache to dry. I have a much faster and easier volcano that uses a cone of posterboard. Might want to check that one out.

  • Comment removed

  • what was tha yellow thin'

  • It's ok i gave in my volcano and i got credit! Thanksss

  • its too slow

  • I thought you where gonna show me how to make a VOLCANO.

Not a toy... How will i show off to mt everest?! God!

  • Thanks, this really helped.

  • i used newspaper instead of paper towel's, and then added several coats of "Mod Podge"...

it works better and it's cheaper! : D

  • sorry man but you are not good doing this type of things

  • can i use mentos and soda instead of baking soda?

  • @clarabjane YEs, definitely. ONe of my volcano vids shows how to do that. I think its the video labeled "Spectacular volcano".

  • @epicfantasy can we use pva glue

  • NO EXPLODTION!!! BooHoo ruwin the fun......

  • I RIPPED APART MY VOLCANO CAUSE I DIDN'T STUFF IN NEWSPAPER AND I HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN!! I CANT AFFORD PLASTER OF PARIS OR PAPER MACHE PASTE IM A SLOB WHO NEEDS HELP!!!! ARRGGGHHH IM ANGRRYRYYY IM GONNA EAT CHEESE BYE..

  • @Purplestar997 I have an easy volcano that just uses a sheet of Posterboard: mWZW4FeHHbU

  • @Purplestar997

    Lmfao.

    Gonna eat cheese.

  • @JHluvR05 hi i have to do a volcano project and i was wondering how long does it take to do??

  • Where did you bought the plaster of paris ?

  • you can skip ads now

    FINALLY

  • LOL its easy and NO SPENDING MONEY FREE

  • you sound like kevin from the office anyway great tutoial :D

  • @JHluvR05 Overnight should be good. You can put it near a heater to speed it up, or put a fan next to it or even use a hair dryer, but be careful with that!

  • booo

  • how much baking soda and vinigar?

  • @Boe6Eod7Nty 1 tablespoon of baking soda & 1/4 cup of vinegar

  • @Boe6Eod7Nty 1 tablespoon of baking soda & 1/4 cup of vinegar

  • it s so beautiful project!!!!!!!I LIKE IT SO MUCH

  • I love the idea but most volcano projects erupt slowly which i hate would i have to put a lot of vinegar in it to make it erupt faster?

  • Its not about the coolness. Its about the A+! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!! The coolest one in class!

  • Also, how big do the sheets of paper need to be? Like, the ones that you dip in the mix of the plaster then put on the volcano shape?

  • @OROgoldenpair1 small, you should make it all in strips that are about 2-3 inches wide.

  • @epicfantasy I already did the thing.... it was proportioned with the size i saw on the video. :P Well, it was just about 2-3 inches wide anyhow. plus, that plaster of paris dried in the bucket quickly and like rocks!!! I barely managed to cover the remaining spots.

  • Thanks for this... I'm currently doing this project and its coming out well. Questions though... how fast do you have to put the paper towel on the volcano? I think I'll need a second pair of hands for that... also, what if I add too much water to the plaster of paris? I don't have an exact measure, nor measuring cup. Anyways, thanks!

  • @OROgoldenpair1 With plaster of paris you should be ok. Mix up a small batch and you will have used it up in just a few minutes. Don't have to be real fast. Once you try that first small batch you will get a feel for how it works. cut the paper towels into strips ahead of time so they are ready to go.

  • @epicfantasy What kinds of things can you stick into the box as a little plus? Like little plastic trees and other things? Also, what if I made the frame of the volcano a little too big? I think I stuffed it a bit too much... But that was only because I wanted a nice shape, which is what I got.

  • thx i got an A+ this is awsome

  • @SuperEliteTroop1999 You are very welcome. Grats on the A+. It's great to have some fun with a project and get an A too!

  • @epicfantasy why can,t your ass and gob

  • i did not put the bottle by the side i put it in the middle and was just going to put card board around that...will that work?

  • hi, thanks this helped alot, but could you tell me what the writing said on the back, thanks. :)

  • @haariskane Yes, the volcano fact sheet on the back is downloadable from my website.

  • @haariskane look at your science book lol

  • can i ask is this volcano can erupt?pls tell me how this volcano erupts.

  • @thesheila06 you put vinegar and bakin soda in it.

  • i know how to make a volcano with gout lava use same ingredients besides food coloring use a white smoke bomb

  • do we have to make a hole to remove the bottle when were done? cause my volcanoe wont have eruptions?

  • @gymnastix4life if you are not going to have the volcano erupt then nope. No need for the hole on the bottom. Not really a need for the bottle either! Can just make it without the bottle.

  • Thanx Mait i Got an A+ Because of u thanx

  • fail u said mess free and i see a mess

  • wow! this is really good! using it to make my volcano for my geography project. thanks! how many strips of cardboard did you do?

  • you call this a mess free volacno but after you were done building it your table was a disaster if thats your mess free i would hate to see your messy

  • can you use paper mache instead of all that other stuff.??

  • We made this for my son's 4H project and it turned out great! Thank you!

  • thanks i got to make one for geography

  • Can you use clay insted of plaster?

  • Is this for physics ? I need a physics investigatory project

  • does it work with clay and water for teh paper towel strips? Because i just bought clay yesterday to make a volcano for 6 dollars and i dont want to waste it.

  • @xoxsportygirl I am really not sure. What is the name of the clay you bought?

  • das sieht aus wie eis creme

  • @Nintendofreund lol! bestimmt

  • thanx man i have a science project coming up and im doing a volcanno

  • 8:28 what colour did you use?

  • How big is the board?? im doing it for my geo..

  • Can you use clay instead of plaster??

  • i used plastic instead of plaster

  • instead of using coke and mentos us 7up,food coloring and mentos

  • what is the recipe for the flour/baking soda/ water

  • how long did this take?

  • @raddaradda01 Can't exactly remember how long it took me to make this volcano. Maybe about 2 hours. But it does take a few hours to dry - depending on what material you use to make the shell.

  • OOH you helped me tooooo much i got 100% on Since!! and A+ in Geography

  • @pusibu Nice work and glad my volcano project was a help. Does it get any better than this? You got an A+ and you had fun doing it :)

  • thanks man!

  • thanks man!

  • o my god you are a life saver i just was wondering if you know how i could make this volcano work with a air pump or any thing besides a chemical reation

  • I am not sure about using an air pump. There is a chemical reaction that you can use to make a more impressive volcanic eruption. I can't think of the chemical, or you could go with diet coke and mentos. That makes one terrific eruption, I have a video. I think that video is called "How to make a spectacular volcano."

  • Thanks a loooot. My daughter got first place in her science fair with this project . Yaahoooo ! Looks like a replica of this one ...

  • @thankidi yeah same thing

  • It Dont Matter Now, i Made IT And Im Happy It Looks Realyy Good ! :)

    Thanks

  • Thank you soooo much. My daughter used this for her kindergarten science fair project yesterday and she won it ...!! it was soo easy and this is a very descriptive video..

  • Thank you soooo much... We used this for my daughter's science fair project in kindergarten. She won it .... :) Its great stufff.....

  • WOW!!!!! Beautiful thanks very much!!!!

  • could you let me know what are the best ingredients to make the eruption

  • I like u u r ooosome

    Its my phrase

    sorry :?

  • This is so good! For my project!

  • ANyways HOPEFULLY I WILL GET AN A+ . The project is due on Good Friday :0

  • what does the diagram say? magma chamger, main vent, and what was the last one?

  • Oh mah gawd Thank u

I dont think any1 else would put a diagram or "chopping" a volcano to c what it looks like inside

  • he sound so slow

  • cool

  • is that 3 feet or what?

  • thanx i got a a+

  • Thanks a lot,

it really helped me with my project i got a A+

  • cool volcano but to hard

  • On my website I have a volcano making project that is super easy. No paper mache or anything. All you really need is a sheet of poster board. You should give that one a try.

  • cool

  • How long does it take for the plaster of paris to dry?

  • I can't remember exactly, I think it was only an hour or two.. but I believe I set it aside overnight to make sure it was completely dried.

  • Excellent! You gave me a good idea in making our project! Thank you very much! :D

  • Way cool!

  • your videos are awesome, and ive always wanted to know how to make a volcano thanks! =)
