no look, maybe you don't know about this, but pigs, dogs, mice, all animals have feelings, feel pain, have dreams, think just like you and I do. In another way, maybe less maybe more, but they do.

They would not and could not survive if they didn't. It's part of the deal of being a living thing. The you that feels and thinks could just as well be in that pig or in a dog or horse. It's just a matter of chance that we are in side a human body. Think of it, for a second think of it.

I'm 39, and had eaten pork products all my life. This morning (9-25-08), I had read a Rolling Stone article from ~2 years ago. I was ignorant on how horrible businesses treat the defenseless animal as well as how dangerous it is to have their excrement 'bottled' up. I'll do my share in abolishing pork products, and I will send this to my friends I feel who will be compassionate towards this problem as well. Thank you for this insightful posting.

Poor pigs. I don't eat pigs. I am not a vegetarian or a muslim, I just consider pigs to humans. On a happier note, I know some hogs that get the leftover dohnuts from a dohnut shop. Luck swine!
