I personally like Senel more then Luke. Luke was kool at first, but then got seriously emo and what not. Bad character development to me. Most interesting characters in abyss were Jade & Guy. Legendia all the characters were amazing, even Grune.
I love Legendia. It's probably my favorite Tales games. It's underrated because of the combat system and animation, but I loved the art style and the only thing I'd change with combat is multiplayer. It had the best story and the best soundtrack. Senel is also pretty epic. I loved Abyss, too. This was a great vid. Good job. ^^
ToTA is better, ToL is also a Tales game, but i just don't like the battle system, ToTA has a better battle system and its much more fun and the characters are also more likable too.
My favorite is definitively Tales of the abyss. I enjoyed ToL a lot too.
But I just liked the characters so much more in ToA. Tear is the greatest girl in RPGs so far for me (and probably a long time, with the direction ALL RPGs take : weak mindless blond or pink haired girl).. Great looks, and she is strong and dependable.

Legendia was by no means a bad game, but the music, gameplay, characters and story were all nowhere near as good as in some of the other Tales installments.
I love both of these games, but I as for storyline and such I loved Tales of Abyss. The thing I loved most about Tales of legendia was how after you beat the game there were after game missions.
you obviously didn't finish the character missions, and you obviously played the English dub version. I played ToL the English subbed version, and I can tell you, the voice acting can make a big difference. The English voice acting for ToL was horribly lifeless, while the Japanese version really gave the characters life.
And btw those after missions are actually a completion to the story.
lol I wasn't trying to be negative but I guess it came out that way. it was just, I played ToL English Dub and ToL Jap Dub with English Subs and it made for a completely different experience which I enjoyed much more than both the english dub version and ToA. So I was getting a little defensive over little details. Anyways if you're able to get the subbed version your should give it a try, its very nice.
Why didn't they put it this way in the game! I like it better this way the whole slowness of the original theme was like...um no? But I can't knock the song.
I usually like the switcharounds, but Karma just DOES NOT FIT Legendia artistically speaking, what with the latter's earthier tones and the FMVs' somberness. Really, Legendia goes well with themes that are slower and more emotional, and even in this way is the odd one out in the Tales Of series, with its opening theme, Tao (personal favorite along with Karma and Key to My Heart).
IMO, the only swaps that might work well are with Rebirth's Good Night and Eternia's Flying.
Made well but i don't think the Tales of themes should be switched Legendia has a horrible theme but taking the theme from another game...i don't think it's right
The end was a bit rushed, but I liked the rest. :) As an avid Luke/Tear and Senel/Chloe shipper, I liked the "kagami nan da..." scene, but I also liked how you put together Jay's head-shake with the music where Van knocks the sword out of Asch's hand.
This was wonderful! I like how you incorporated other anime cutscenes from the game instead of just replacing the opening song in the original opening movie.

Luke's character development (and character) are brilliant, one of the best I've ever seen - I'd completely disagree that Luke is a "fanservice" character. I have played Symphonia, and I loved it, but I still think Abyss is much better even though I haven't played it myself!

Except that's nigh impossible when you're using scenes from another game. Abyss doesn't even get the whole meaning of the stanzas matched with their respective scenes. If ToA's opening were based on the music, it would all be one big Luke & Asch video.
Legendia's the better game, better towns, better places to explore, better music, better game.

This is one of the best series' out there, and Europe got so screwed on every one of them.
Only 2 have been released here so far to my knowledge (Symphonia and Vesperia) and we don't get Symphonia 2 until November. D:

I liked both, but Abyss, by far, has the better battle system. Legendia has better character development though, due to character quests.
