@fcandreas That would be nice to have a fan club there! If you want to make one..please do..I would be so appreciative of any efforts! And where in Greece are you? I will keep this town on my list of places to tour in the future! :D
You shouldn't come to Greece. You MUST come to Greece!
I 've already sent your video to many greek blogs and many people have watched it with great joy, throughout Thrace, Peloponnese, Macedonia, Thessaly, Epirus, Cyprus and islands!
Why not make another "greek try"? E.g. one of my favorite traditional songs,
"Απάνω στην τριανταφυλλιά". The user "theosgg" has uploaded. It's name is "Apano stin triandafilia" ("on the rose") and it comes from the region of Macedonia. Hope you enjoy it and I am willing to give you the lyrics in both greek and english...
"Greek people are so lucky to have this as one of their songs". and your parents are so lucky to have a daughter like you!!! what can anybody say, you sing great, your greek sounds perfect, nobody could sing this better! thank you for sharing this with us! i've heard it many times, again and again. :)
@giaagi Awe, thanks so much....just when I feel that my music might not be heard in the world, I get sweet comments like this that make me know otherwise. :) I love to use my passion of languages and music together and get reactions like yours....thank you!
@Lauramariesongs You know that this is not really a song but actually it's carols, right? The children sing this on Crist's baptize's eve (I hope you understand what I wanded to tell. I couldn't find the right expression). Do you know the meaning of these words? Did you find a translation?
@giaagi Thanks so much. :) Yes, someone told me about this song a little bit. I have a Greek friend who told me what the words mean...I cannot remember most of it now, but something about Christ and light. :)
Congrats Laura ! Your greek are perfect. My love from Greece. Today is the day that children sing these carols you sung. Your video made my day. :-) A fan of yours.

Since when the angels started singing in Greek?? Well done my beauty!!!! You made my smile!!!! Greetings from Greece... the most beautiful country around the globe!!!!
1 (en) Today is the Epiphany and the lights And great joy and blessing! By the river Jordan Is our Virgin Mary, our Lady. Good morning, good evening, Good morning, our Master and our Lady! 2 (en) He holds an instrument, He has a candle And He begs Saint John "Saint John master and Baptist, Please baptize me too; who I am God's child, To climb up heaves And harvest roses and aromas!"
I made a small effort to translate it in english. Of course, there are originally many more verses, not present here. This is a traditional Greek carol, chanted one day before the Epiphany, which is a great feast for Orthodox Christianity. The chanters used to be young children, especially at the regions of Thessalia and Macedonia. Its a really lovely song and I am grateful to you, for having offered it to all of us, Lauramarie!
