  • I'm interested in the tower blocks. Are they plastic kits?

  • @whitbyjet65 Hello! They're all pretty much made of plastic, but are kit bashed to some degree, with a few scratchbuilt ones as well. Check out my blog (quinntopia.blogspot.com) for details on all of them.

  • WOW! Nice buildings there!Very nice work!

  • @JMD904 Thank you!

  • This is outstanding.

    Great job.

  • Great to see large commercial buildings modelled. Thanks for the tour.

  • This is incredible, I love it! Kudos for your great work, it made me decide to make my next layout N-scale :]

I have a couple questions. Which is the red train next to the ice-t train and where did you get those two trains? Also, where did you get the tall buildings in the Version 1? I am having difficulty finding buildings past a few floors high.

  • @MrAwesomistic Hi MrAwesomistic! The red train that I think you are referring to is the Thalys made by Kato. Its a high speed train that runs from Paris to Amsterdam to Cologne (I believe). A search of the web should reveal various places to purchase! As to the buildings, many of them are older German buildings, or recent Japanese versions, with some kit bashing and scratch-building as well. Check out my blog for more detail!

  • nice layout. impressive control panel. your layout room makes my garage look like a tip. HaHa! I use NCE powercab which is very easy to use and as comfortable as your system.

  • Beautiful layout mate. I like the detail!

  • @EWS60008 Thank you very much!

  • @EWS60008 Thank you sir!

  • very nice layout like the sysem you have

  • @SuperWin87 Thank you!

  • I think your layout is fantastic , love the track plan, love the city buildings & looks so good with the lighting , the station terminus area is great i see you have an icet train , control system is very good, is the system automated e.g computer. All the best jim. & Thanks for showing this great layout.

  • @hovermotion No automation at this time, it wasn't in my original plan, but the more I see what others can do with automation, I'm thinking its a good idea! Thanks for watching!

  • I'm not the one to say, but your city is missing something ! I think it needs a park ! Could be a plan for Version 5 (If you decide to make Version 5, that is) ...

  • @nobodyknowsme5 I agree, a park would be nice - I need more room!! Thanks for watching!

  • Your layout has Inspired me to start my very own N scale layout..Iv always had an interest in people movers whether it be trains, ships or planes. Building a layout is something iv always wanted to do and thanks to viewing your vids its safe to say you have given me a nudge in the right direction :) ... p.s im really enjoying your reviews..keep em up :)

  • @TheDayBeforeYewCame Thanks for the kind words, and its really great to hear that my little videos have encouraged you! Just remember, its your hobby and the goal is to have fun! Best of luck and find a way to share your progress with others of like mind (start a blog, visit some online train forums, upload videos of your progress, etc...) because it can be really encouraging!

  • great layout thanks for the video!

  • @1bad99cat Thank you!

  • Loved it! My favorite scene is the protesters demanding more prototypical standards. I really enjoy seeing the work of a "violator" like you, especially when there is such a high level of skill demonstrated. Thank you for sharing and keep up the great work!

  • @trainman07011 Thanks so much! That means a lot to me! My goal is to create my own little world....believable to a certain extent, but populated with the things that inspire me! Even if they would never exist in real life!

  • Sehr schöne Große Anlage !!! Gruß aus Germany

  • @7800Raphael Danke!

  • Im only 12 and i have been into model trains since I was about 5. I started out with an HO scale track... Didn't look right, so i tried G scale... Couldn't afford scenery or room. But then I tried N and to this day I am loving it! Im starting a new track with it and I want to make one just like yours! Im so jealous!

  • @xILikeStuffx Thanks for the comment xilikeStuffx! Don't get discouraged if you can't achieve all you want! I had my first N scale layout when I was your age as well! Take time to enjoy all the little steps and things you can learn along the way!

  • nice layout ! Im jealous !

  • @nobodyknowsme5 Thank you for the kind words!

  • iT LOOKS SO FANTASTIC

  • @nesquel7000 Thank you very much! :-)

  • Really nice layout, like the design! how many trains can you run at once?

  • @bohemianh I have three separate loops, one of which can easily accommodate two trains, plus the 'tram line', so altogether I could have 5 trains (including the tram) running at once!

  • @mesmerojoe My Marklin Mobile Station will run 7, however slow and no sound functions on. I really like when many trains are running at once looks so much more alive! Great layout, really like the expansion, the theme is it Belgium? the low countries? Netherlands?

  • @bohemianh The theme is more like "Miniature Wonderland": Whatever I can fit in! :-) Its far more fantasy than anything else trying to incorporate as much of the sort of things I like (Mountains, viaducts, etc...) even if totally inappropriate for some of the railroads I like (the NS for example, which according to my maps, does not run through too many mountain ranges! :-) )

  • @mesmerojoe LOL, yes, not too many mountain ranges and tall viaducts for the NS! :-)

  • That was so good! I wish more modellers would give similar tours. Pictures and maps just don't do justice!

  • @baronjutter Thank you! I actually had fun making it!

  • Great layout video, really enjoyed watching that.

  • @ngaugeuk Thank you! I was concerned it would be boring or something (no buildings catching on fire or monsters in this video!)

  • Stunning layout! Would you consider adding catenary as well?

  • @dbdrdbag Yes! In fact, I have cantenary poles which I expect to add once I get a lot of other things in place.

  • @dbdrdbag That's in the plan, its just a matter of time! Thanks for watching!

  • Very fantastic layout! There is a lot of space in your garage. I am envious! Thanks for showing. I put my layout(600mm x 3200mm) in my bedroom.(^^)/

    Regards, Tak.

  • @tkd011 Thank you Tak! I enjoy your layout- and your videos - a lot! Very inspirational and high quality!

  • @tkd011 Well, the down side is that during this time of year, its just too cold to be out there!

  • Very good video of your layout and well explained, you could do a documentary with your locos running round :-)

  • @scotsoft29 Thanks Scot! Appreciate the kind words!

  • @scotsoft29 Thank you!
