Ah they are! Just read in plastation magazine: its a direct bloodline connection between the assassin in this (ezio) and altair (or however its spelt... haha) There are meant to be other connections too, but read the interview! its looking/sounding amazing! :)

I have many suggestions for AC II but the main suggestion I would like to add is being able to get paid for assassinations which in turn let you buy better swords, Body armor(Under Robe), Bows, Knives/Arrows. Many people who i have been talking too about this game really want these features too I think that with those and more like co-op and smarter AI and better story plot and assassinations will make this game with out a doubt best game of the year.

The storyline of the first one was EXCELLENT, but the gameplay lacked in a lot of areas. Like for example every assassination just turning into a big fight, not being able to swim, or guards acting like ninjas when they're chasing you even though they're not assassins like you are. Rumor's are that you can swim, and the gameplay's going to be much better so I can't wait for this to come out!
