  • My favorite

  • either this or the scene at the end of "my mistake" (i think) where you find out Ben S was dead all along is the best scene in the whole of scrubs. Both are amazingly acted and written

  • I watched this episode when my grandfather was in hospital and my mum freaked out when she saw it because of him. I told her that it wasn't true for him and then a couple of weeks later, he died. Like the people that died in this episode, it was unexpected and out of everyone's hands. A month after his death, I watched this again and started crying and tomorrow will be one year since his death. I miss you grandad.

  • @aquarius2994 Jesus Christ... I'm sorry to hear about that.

My Mum died form pneumonia in September. It's been four years since her death and I still miss her like crazy.

Condolences to your family and friends, and I'm sure your granddad is proud of you.

  • @spastickid218 Thanks a lot. I can't imagine how you feel losing your mother and i''m so sorry for your loss

  • @spastickid218 LOLLL

  • This is without a doubt the most emotional and best performed scene in whole show.

  • This really had me choked up! I really love this song!

  • Cry every time...

  • Every single time I watch this I get just get goosebumps. dr cox's acting was so good

  • i wanna see this episode so bad

  • @formusicplaylist1

    Series 5, episode 20.

    :)

  • Dr. Cox always acts rude around his colleagues and patients when the truth is he cares about them more than anyone else

  • And John C. McGinley never got an Emmy or Golden Globe. Shame.

  • Oh God, I'll never forget this... this whole scene is just devastating right up until that last part where Dr. Cox turns around with tears in his eyes - then it rips my heart out. And the episode itself is flooring the way its tone changes, IIRC. It starts out silly and goofy and then BAM, sucker-punch.

  • I can't get through this scene without crying.

It shows that the best of us can fall.

    ♥ Scrubs Forever

  • This scene is so moving.

Scrubs is without doubt the best show to ever be created: Happy, Sad, Funny, Extremely moving and has a lot of life's lessons.

This show has helped me so much <3

  • Another moment that makes Scrubs the best medical show ever not to mention one of the best tv shows ever.

It hurts how underrated these actors are.

  • J.D and Dr. Cox's first segment in this scene gave me the impression that everything was going to get better but the ending just blew my mind.

  • How did John c Mcginely never at least get an Emmy nomination for scrubs?

  • 16 dislikes??? Mental.

  • @Dannyb1022 dead patients relatives dislike it

  • Men cry not for themselves, but for their comrades.

  • Dam, the resone im in med-school is this episode, and excuse my spelling im a doctor not an English teacher XD

  • This made me cry a little bit :'( I miss scrubs

  • i miss scrubs..

  • Is it bad if i got a slight tear from this?

  • man every time at the end of the show there is always a life lessen... narrated by Dr. John Dorian.... srry if i misspelt it, but i have a life...

  • @skynyrdfan360 Was that suppose to be funny? I don't get it.

  • @skynyrdfan360 What does having a life have to do with proper spelling.. I don't get it... :s

  • Scrubs: Hilarious, meme filled and famous across the nation. Also known for making medicine one of the most dramatic and depressing things to be seen on television.

  • I love this show. And this scene makes me cry. Every time...

  • i can watch this scene 100 times and still get the same emotional effect. John C. McGinley is just a fucking awsome actor

  • Normally I like JD's "moral of the story" at the end but this scene was absolutely perfect without it and i'm glad they didn't ruin it by putting it in.

  • Very true. Great actor

  • John C McGinley - Most underrated actor ever.

  • This is the only time a TV show has ever made me cry, I'm not exactly sentimental but I wanted to be a doctor and I could...feel it, I knew how it was to rarely make a mistake and then do something so horrible and it just resonated with me...so sad.

  • In February my grandfather died. It was such a shock and unexpected that everyone we knew was shocked as well. In March I watched this scene again and I cried and now today after so long it reminded me of him and I cried again. I miss him so much

  • Will never not cry.

  • 15 people are bastard coated bastards with bastard filling

  • i fucking love scrubs

  • Such passion.

  • every time i watch this i get goosebumps

  • Dr. Cox's acting is definitely extremely powerful, but Carla's facial expressions during the cardiac arrest scene make the scene so much more saddening. 5 stars hands down.

  • @TheCamelor

Yes! I think the same thing about Carla's facial expression, she seems terribly sad herself from seeing Dr. Cox actually being affected by something. Awesome scene, I can't watch this episode near people..or else I'd just embarrass myself :P.

  • @TheCamelor I agree. The cold, shocked emotionless response is powerful.

  • @TheCamelor 100% agree, I've always thought the same thing

  • yeah amen her experession played the scene perfectly

  • @TheCamelor Think it was more of the music and the moment that made it seem like his performance was strong. Honestly, I would be shaking with frustration and be demolished onto the floor if that happened.

  • First time I saw this, I cried.

Everytime I watch it now, I still get goosebumps.

By far my favourite scene from Scrubs.

My favourite show of all time. I still watch the re-runs and the dvds every now and then. The show just does not get old. I can't wait for my unborn child to grow up and I can watch this with them :)

  • @shaneswedish25

I got goosebumps as well.... One of the most powerful moments in any form of entertainment, ever.

  • when this bufferef in the middle i just went 'nooooooo' it ruined it... stupid computer :P

  • This & "My Screw Up" are the best episodes of Scrubs. Not only funny, but truly, truly touching. Such an amazing show (minus season 9)

  • best acting performance for Dr. Cox!

  • God. This is the most intense moment in television I've ever seen (admittedly I don't watch that much, but, hey). I'm sorta bummed when this episode plays and there are people watching Scrubs with me, because they get to see me cry like a baby.

  • scrubs lost psych my name is earl best shows ever

  • this is the best scene i had ever saw , i cant stop thinking about it .

i love scrubs. and i love that song ! ♥

  • the only people who can dislike this clip are the one who dont know what its like to lose someone you love ...

  • Anyone know what episode this is from, a title?

  • @MsShilaCA "My lunch", I think.

  • @MsShilaCA Season 5, episode 20 "My lunch"

  • "Once you start blaming yourself for deaths that aren't your fault, my friend, that's a slippery slope that you can't come back from." Best show ever.

  • 14 people don't know How To Save A Life

  • Just watching this makes me fear the day, 9 years from now, when i´m, hopefully, a doctor and has to deal with death. I´m just happy to have watched scrubs because i think it´s gonna make me more ready not just to becoming a doctor but also to becoming a person...

  • @Milkmebebe Wow you really are a happy guy aren´t you?

First of all, even though it shouldn´t matter at all, i´m not black.

Considering your racism, hate of every small problem and fear of emotions i would guess you are 50-60 something, fat, jobless, KKK-member from Dallas whos lost a family member or friend, if you ever had any, because a young black doctor made some mistake. You should just stick your head in a barrel and allow the rest of the world to keep on going.

  • I bawl my eyes out every single time I watch this scene. Cox is an amazing man.

  • 2 things

    1. this is the best fucking song ever

    2. this is the best fucking show ever

    3. this is the best fucking scene ever

yea that may be 3 when i said 2 but i dont care

    scrubs will be missed

ps. i lost a friend named angela she had problems but everyone does no one is perfect i really miss you angela

    RIP Angela

Your were the best friend anyone could ever have and I loved you...

    pps. screw u haters

  • @Milkmebebe You should really find some help!!!

Do you even have any compasion at all? Or are you just an idiot who wanks of to five year old girls passing by the street while you yell at the society for not helping you enough after droping out of school to becoming a professional jackass who noone cares about. Get some help before you end up hurting somebody!!!

  • @michasvn Best. Comeback. Ever.

  • this episode and this part are my favorite, everytime i watch it i want to cry.

shows like scrubs made me want to take Medical Foundations and enter the medical field after the Military, these people are amazing. if your a doctor and reading this, you and all of your peers are amazing people, i want to do something in return but everytime something comes to mind...its not good enough.

    Thank you so much

  • "Where do you think we are?"

  • People like Dr. Cox are the best kind of teachers you can get!

  • John Mcginley (dr cox) is such an amazing actor, I don't think he gets enough credit for his work

  • scenes like this make me love this show

  • how do doctors not cry in situations like this one i replay this and every time i cry

  • Do anyone know in wich season is there this episode! And the season's witch episode is this?

  • @Benediktusszz The episode is "My lunch" and I forgot the season...

  • @trickster7997 season 5

  • still love this scene. one of my favorites.

  • Best Emotional Moment next to JD's vision last Ep Season 8

  • @Royaniime And Ben's dead in season 3 ;)

  • it gives me the willies

  • i am a scrubs addict i have watched it over a 100times i reckon

me and my bestfriend always have scrubs marathons

and with out doubt this epsiode and the one with bens funeral always makes me cry and i have seen them so many times

  • I miss scrubs

  • dr Cox is always involved in the sadest moments

  • it's weird when i feel sorry for Dr Cox, because he is such a jerk, yet here i feel bad for him

  • @anakindarksideme just because he often is a jerk, that doesn't make it wrong to feel bad for him.

  • when I watched this scene, i was like: I'm a dude i can't cry!!!

so i got that annoying feeling in my throat

  • Chills everytime

  • I am almost impenetrable when it comes to crying, but this is something else.

  • I build up tears and goosebumps every time I see this episode... Its one of the best...

  • Goosebumps every time......

  • 14 people are obnoxious.

  • i never thought i would cry watching scrubs<3 but dr cox gave me chills this is prob the feeling in its show i balled

  • I never ever cry. But I've cried to scrubs more than 10 times. This was one of the moments. Usually it's dr. Cox or JD who caused my tears....

    I LOVE Scrubs! <3

  • 14 people had heart transplantations infected with rabies.

  • 14 people don't have souls, just hollow shells.

  • "how to save a love"

  • @123Raw3301 life**

  • This scene is so damn touching. i love this scene so much. the drama, the emotion.

  • Best scene ever

  • This is based on a true story by the way. Three patients actually did die from organ transplants that contained rabies in 2004... it makes this all the more powerful...

  • my favorite scene and episode of the entire series

  • and with how dr cox reacted, watching a person that he had formed a friendship with die in front of him. it just added so much more emphasis on the complexities of human emotions.

  • i can't listen to this dong without getting sad and almost crying cuz i remember my grandparents and everyone else who died

  • So many onions!

  • Scrubs Is so powerful. This scene the one when laverne dies bens death and the last episodes all made me cry and I'm a boy

  • The most intense Ending in Scrubs! Season 8 had the Most Emotional ending in scrubs

  • favorite moment in television history

  • Evokes such strong emotions for 3 minutes of television. Amazing scene

  • just finish this episode :o wow.

  • this guy deserves an oscar!!!!

  • this makes me cry every time

  • Every few months when I rediscover my "the fray" folder and hear this song again I look up this video, and everytime it's just as touching and mind blowing as the last time. Definitely one of the best emotional moments in any show or movie I have ever seen.

  • 0:30

is that Denise? this is season 5, you dont come till season 8 :o

  • Poor Perry :'(x

  • Wow i looked back at the comments o.o package trolled a lot of people.

  • i dont meen to sound like a tit but ive had a transplant recently..

had it for 2 yrs now..

    kidney transplant.

been on dialisis for 3 years and i play football.

i have passed my GCSE'S and a levels and im going to be a consultant....

  • Man I watch this over and over and it still gives me goosebumps.

  • The fray song is so cliche and im so over it, it gets no emotional response from me, but when you put it to something like this, on a show I love, with characters you can empathise with it makes it so much more meaningful, this episode was awesome

  • @shagz23 its not "so cliche" its a true story... but i agree about this episode

  • Probably one of the best scenes in television history.

  • So sad it's the song that moves me I cried when I saw this :(

  • this is deff a very moving episode. Dr.Cox's meltdown was probably the hardest thing to watch.

  • I remember seeing this scene and I'm not really a scrubs fan, but this really made me feel emotional. The idea that Dr Cox and the whole show seems to be all up beat and funny, though particular parts bring out the emotion and stress involved in casualty.

  • Wow didn't know a tv comedy could be that emotional

  • john mcginley gets the saddest parts in everything he's in

  • This scene has more drama and emotional impact in it than any bit in ER or Grey's Anatomy. This show was great back then.

  • Comment removed

  • @pheobeisatiger yeah

  • My lunch is the sadist one

  • One of the most iconic moments on Scrubs

  • When their beepers go, the expression on Coxs face when he says "Oh God" was painful to look at. Add to that the weight of losing a friend of his (the third patient) who couldve gotten by for another while without a kidney just made it all the more difficult to see. Goes to show even the most sarcastic straight talking S.O.B can feel pain too.

  • best episode of scrubs.

  • I love how that perverted guy looks at the nurses' butt in the very beginning haha.

  • This will always be the saddest scene for me. Made me cry.

  • @AlterBridgeSurfa ur a dick if u dont like scubs why did u click on the video?... so u could just complain about it you clearly need to get a life

  • @AlterBridgeSurfa LOL that comment is so funny, why you so angry ?

  • i get goosebumps everytime i watch this. perfect scene.

  • 0.30 I thought he pulled his nipple off O_O

  • Im going to say something quite contraversal here, I dont find this scene amazing and it doesnt make me cry, its a very well done scene an it is indeed very sad and I certainly feel for dr cox but its not that amazing.

It does however show how brilliant scrubs is, a light hearted comedy that has given people life lessons again and again, it just goes to show how intense working in a hospital is, I couldnt do it thats for sure, not with life and death in hands.

  • @TheBladeofTears what you said isn't controversial, just how you feel

  • Great scene

  • this scene is just indescribable...gets me everytime :)

  • best. scene. ever.

  • 14 people don't have a heart

  • @waterbahamut guess they need these transplants

  • @waterbahamut They must have clicked i don't like it because they don't like what happened!

  • This scene shows Dr.cox has a heart

  • @juan5557903 I know right?! Guess I should go ahead and get a prescription for two testicles.

  • @guitarman87 if u callin him a faggot because he cried ur callin 152 people a faggot aswell and just because they creied means there a faggot it a sad scene

  • @r33v3sy132 Yeah I was the one being called a faggot...

  • if the people who disliked this video cause it made them upset fair enough but there is no over reason to dislike it

  • God dammit, I have something in my eye.

  • I don't cry, but i sure as shit get the goosebumps everytime

  • I have such bad luck. Every time I see this episode, something gets in my eye...

  • @juan5557903 The very first time i saw this i almost did

I mean it eye were kinda welling

Took some power to not man

  • @juan5557903 i did

  • How does this not have a fucking million views?

  • Aw man I teared up, wtf, I'm gonna click "Elliot Gives Her Patient an Orgasm" in the suggestions list to cheer me up

  • This is why I would never be able to be a doctor. I would never be able to take the pressure of making life/death decisions and have to watch people die.

    Doctors are fucking amazing.

  • @rexana So do I

  • @rexana

Im a lifeguard...i can barely handle the pressure that if i screw up...it could be the death of a child. But if i do everything i can to try and save them, i will still blame myself and question "Is there anything i could have done?..."

I agree. Doctors are fucking amazing for being able to go through every single day knowing that.
