Heute kann man Golf VI 1.6 TDI kaufen, ist bestimmt sparsamer, und bestimmt praktischer und ... usw ..

nicht zu vergessen die skoda octavia. 1.4 TFSI .... viel auto fuer wenig geld.

Nice with an "entry level" engine thats not slow at all!

It's not a dragster, but i guess quick safe overtaking is no problem, plus the elasticity are always good with turbo/supercharged cars!

I would chose 156 BHP from a 1.6 L supercharged, over 156 from - lets say a - 2.0 L normally aspirated!

Clever move from Mercedes with these small engines because the tourqe makes them feel more powerfull!

@Michaelingolfhansen I used to work for Enterprise rent a car. I have driven these C180's with an AMG kit about a million times as enterprise kept them for Mercedes breakdowns. They aren't powerful. They accelerate very well as long as the power is constantly down, after you take you foot off the power goes. Getting them to overtake quickly is almost non exsistant, they need to drop the autobox right down to build up 4,000 revs. They are fine once they get going though.

had one of these as a hire car whilst waiting for my BM 320 ci sport (2.2 petrol) to be repaired..Loved it.. felt faster than what it is but i was impressed with the pick up on the motorways car just kept pulling.. didn't want to give it back to be honest, realy thinking about buying one

no, it was "upright" or "straight" i dont know the correct word :D if you have automatic transmission you have to put your left feet on the brake pedal and rev the motor a bit, then kickdown and jump from the brake =)
