How To Remove App Store Updates (No Computer) [HD]

Can you actually update the app you for from installous and have an updated version. Or will that just make everything go weird?

When I clicked on the existing GPS Drive icon it was still the 12.1 version. Next I deleted the 12.1 version and re-installed 13.0 and still nothing. I'm concerned that this could be a virus or something malicious. Could you help please?

Hey I'm new to the world of jailbreaking cydia and all that. I found your video quite informative thx m8. But I have another issue that I need help with. I installed MotionX GPS Drive v12.1 via installous and it works fine. This morning I got an appstore update notification for version 13.0. I checked on installous to see if it's there and there was only one v13.0 on mediafire cracked by Damienistic. I installed it but can't find the app icon anywhere.

This video is going to far into it by editing the file in the Text Viewer which is absolutely UNNECESSARY! All you need to do after you locate that file folder in iFile is to rename the iTunesMetadata.plist file by clicking on the arrow next to it and then click on the Name area at the top. Rename it to iTunesMetadata-bak.plist and your App Store badge for that particular app will disappear once you reenter the App Store!

@TaylorMadeTuts you know you could also show the names of the apps by clicking on the gear in the bottom left corner of ifile and turning that feature on.

You can click the gear symbol in ifile(bottom left) then turn in Application names to see the app name without having to search it the way he did.

thanks a lot mate! you explained everything perfectly, i just have a small question, if i did that method when lets say version 1.6 was released (i have version 1.5) and the notification disappeared. when 1.7 is released will i recieve another notification and do the same procedure or will i not recieve anything? thanks again man

You can change the file settings so it shows app folder names instead of random numbers. Check my vid out

I just delete that file instead of editing it, this is a good way to do it too though

@TaylorMadeTuts I did pick that up thanks - I had seen something about leaving just one integer in in another tutorial but how to edit really wasn't clear at all plus I could barely hear the guy. The best thing about your method is it can be done on the phone itself. In terms of suggestions for future tutorials I'm not sure right now but will message you if I think of something. Keep them nice, clear and concise as you have done and I'm sure more and more people will keep coming back. Thanks!
