  • It's actually suppos to be faster, I have the sheet music and am tought by a pro, but on the tin whistle I think it wouldn't sound as good if it was fast

  • I believe that this tune originates in the West Indies. I have tried calypso tunes on the whistle and they sound great, (at least the older ones). Perhaps the whistle is well suited to all folk music.

  • Hi, Ric. I have heard it done very beautifully with steel drums - which may be part of the west indies connection. It's also hard not to think of Harry Belafonte when I hear the tune.
