@SilverFlair In 2007 the lead players were playing baritones (remember, the soloist was a baritone player), 2008 started the trend of all Euphoniums. Buicks all the way :)

@PhantomPhanEuph I didn't march Phantom ever (especially 2007) but it sounded a bit high to be a baritone. Sounded more like a mello to me. Then again im a euphonist and occasionally a trombonist and I've almost forgotten the sound of a baritone.

@PhantomPhanEuph In 2006 they used only buicks but had the trumpets switch to baritones during their ave maria ballad. This clearly shows the superiority of the low brass.

As good as the Kings sound, Phantom still doesn't have the magic of their drum & bugle corps years. However, Phantom still plays with more b@lls than the other BOA-influenced 'corps'.
