  • hahah 8.8.8 epic date to build an pc ;)

  • how much in total?

  • is this a good rig for 499.99 EVGA nForce 750i SLI FTW Barebone Kit - Intel Pentium D 965 Extreme 3.73GHz, 4GB DDR2-800 OCZ, 500GB, GTX260 OC, ATX Case, 550W PSU $499.99*

  • I wouldnt do it. everything sounds good except for the pentium D. I would recommend a core 2 duo or an athlon x2 for the processor..

  • id say lol. thats pretty damn good for 500.

  • Don't get the Pentium D they suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why don't you get a Core 2 processor, or better yet an i7 if you can afford. Everything else looks good except you should get more than 550W since GTX260 are pretty powerful and if you want to go SLI it will DEFINITLY need more than 550W.

  • @crysishighestsetting no thats not very good get atleast a dual core cpu.

  • nice pc !

  • Same specs as me.. i getting new stuff soon

    EVGA x58 mobo

    i7 920

    Mounting clip for CNPS9700 LED

  • what is your 3dmark06 score?

  • Wooohooo! That looks sweet. Do you have all four sticks stable at 1066? I have the same mobo & have problems keeping it at 1066. Tech support said I need to use only 2 sticks if I want it stable at those frequencies. I have the latest bios update too.

  • how much this cost you ... with evrything included?

  • sweet comp. but ur monitor is even better XD

  • nice pc dude

  • you can get all 8gb of ram running at 1066?

i thought almost all motherboard will kick it back to 800. can you explain how to do it?

  • FSB has to support 1066.

  • this psu is overkill man..

  • not with 2 GTX 280's its not. those 280's require almost 40A each over the 12v rails, power hogs. What he's got is sufficient, anything less could cause some hardware issues.

  • someone i know has a 1300w for 3 GTX 260s...

  • man that PSU: costs $470AUS

  • nice!

  • 8Gb's of RAM! are you insane.. who on this planet, who is also running a consumer pc (non-server) would need 8Gb's of RAM!? what the hell, if you have the money go nuts bro.. personally even if i had the money i wouldn't go 8Gb.. my 4Gb DDR3 2000Mhz OCZ RAM does me fine

  • DDR3 is a bit to expensive for me suprisingly the motherboards are,nt that much more expensive

  • totally kick ass pc bro. Fucking awesome :)

  • I just sold off my corsair dominator set, didn't go down well with 2 gigabyte motherboards :(. Just bought some cheap kingston CL5 4GB kit ro replace it which happily is running @ 934mhz CL5 1.95v w/ E8400 @ 4.2Ghz.

I plan on getting the same PSU and a second GTX 280 next week. I got my GTX 280 here for $480 AUD, MSI brand but I got a shock when I installed it and found that is was actually a factory OC version that sold for $610 new @ the time I got it. Still deciding which SLI board to get.

  • I did have a EVGA 780i but the fan was so noisy and I sold it, but now I sorta do regret selling it, but with nehalem so close I might make do with a cheap second hand 680i for the time being.

  • that rig is a beast lol that memory is crazy 8500mhz

  • It's 1066mhz... PC8500 is a rating you stupid n00b!

  • silverstone decathlon is fantastic power suply, i thing it is better than tagan bz series :)

  • very, very nice pc, and beautiful music :)

  • very nice looking, but I dont think that big cpu fan suits it. I would prefer liquid cooling (which I have)

  • why he update bios?

  • I dont know, what are you asking me for?

  • lol

    Maybe because of the cpu

  • fast boot on a damn ugly bad screen

  • its not how the monitor looks... its the picture it presents. CRT's own at color.

  • Dude you did not understand mye point just think if this its like the fast time he it booting hes new strong gaming computer then he uses a smol screen like that one it dasent make sens ...i know mye English sucks im from norway..

  • yor one lucky guy!!

  • How is this motherboard as far as gaming and overclocking. I'm considering purchasing a 750 or 780 however i really dont need the extra sli on the 780 and i dont know the purpose of the extra lan port on the 780. Could u please tell me which board you recommend.

  • nice rig

  • 750i boards rock! :D

  • LMAO all that stuff... and a 17" CRT lmao

  • Sorry for not clear up the pc was build at my small pc laboratory at home is connected to Samsung 22"

  • lol yeah I saw your image at the end (on the newspaper) it looks like a 22 ish widescreen. nice job on the build man, very impressive! :D

  • Not tryin say ur rig is bad

but vista 64-bit only optimizes 4 gig

  • vista 64 bit utilize up 128gb of ram so your quite of hte facts there... 32-bit vista only utilize up to 3,5gb ram

  • 8 GB is kinds useless.. shoulda went with a 780i or something like that...

  • First thanks a lot for your comment!

For gaming I know 8GB can be overkill still it's not only a gaming pc I use it for rendering in graphics programs and VMWARE.

I was looking at both mobo's at one point but the reviews that I read stated that the 750 are very similar to the 780 (EVGA), so i ended up with the 750 FTW EVGA mobo

Cose I don't need 1 more SLi slot and 1 more gig LAN.
