  • On his performance of this record, he was actually late to the concert, its why the intro is a little longer than usual. he ran straight on stage and began to sing. it was spectacular!

  • This version puts all that were is and will be to shame.

  • I came here because of American beauty! Awesome song.

  • best version ever

  • thk you!

  • NO! SHUT UP, YOUTUBE!!!! I don't want to hear Glee's version of this song! Man Oh man.....

  • best crooner ever

  • americaaan beauty

  • Where can I get or buy this exact version? I love Bobby D

  • Darin's studio version of this song obliterates all other covers including Barbra's. Its not close.

  • @MrBobbydarin ABSOLUTELY!!

  • WOW this is sooo awesome...I've never heard this version from Mr. Darin before...

    Thumbs up!!!

  • I like it the way it is here.

  • @STONEYEND24 He didnt.. He took a song she happened to sing before him and made it his own.. = P

  • Love this song!

  • Awful. Sorry.

  • BD originally had this in the middle of his act, but it always got a standing ovation and he was worried that it disturbed the flow of the act, so he moved it to the beginning. Reviewers said they had never seen a performer in Las Vegas get a standing ovation for the first number and the last. Wow.

  • i love this freaki song but who sing first this song he or barbra

  • Barbra sang this Jule Styne gem first of all in the Broadway musical "Funny Girl" in 1964 and again in the movie version in 1968. Bobby Darin recorded this for his 1966 album "In A Broadway Bag" and performed it live here in 1967. It was also part of his live repetoire when he performed in London this same year, and can be found on the album "Something Special" in this production.

  • i'd love to see micheal buble do an arrangement of this! he freshens everything he undertakes! LOVE Darin, too, of course ;)

  • Thank you for posting this extraordinary version.

  • isnt it to fast ??

  • This is a live arrangement.

  • @DjAfterburner Its also his own interpretation of the song, so it might be just fast enough. But, yes, I think it is a bit faster than the original version of the song.

  • Good version of this song...........I actually love this guy when he attempted quietish songs like "Was there a call for me".........I know you 22 Billion people out there will disagree as they've attempted his version of "Mack the knife" once the karaoke machine gets switched on......but he puts a lot of emotion and soul into the quiet stuff !!!!!

  • The arrangement/orchestrations are awesome

  • I love this song but for some reason i can't find the version they play in american beauty and btw great job with the music taste and all

  • Hey joeyflor, Here I Am! You can find the original version of PARADE on Darin's album "In A Broadway Bag" and other compilation CDs released on the Atlantic label. Not hard to find on Amazon either. Good luck
