finals he hasnt been as great, he had a tough time in 04 and 08 and was mostly a 2nd option in 2000, 01 and 02 due to matchups and the fact that he was young and shaq was the most dominant and efficient player int he nba....... but 09 and 2010 he was really good, especially 09... definitely comparable in those two finals to some of the finals performances bird or magic put up

Yu don't know what ur talking about dude.Kobe's shot selection is question but GP certainl couldn't guard Kobe today. Hell I've even seen the white Jason Williams give him the bizness and Jordan lit his ass up in the 1996 finals. GP isn't the greatest defensive point guard that title goes to Clyde Frazier or Sidney Moncried but GP is certainly one of the top 10 on ball defenders of all-time and a defensive stalwart but he can't mess with Kobe bad shot selection or not.The video speak for itself!

Of course I know Payton couldnt gaurd Kobe now but in an interview with Kobe and Payton Gary said that after a few seasons Kobe finally found out a way to score on him pull up jumper!Also if you watch the 96 finals you wont find more than two plays where Jordan takes GP off the dribble!

That's easy for to say that cus I don't have the resources to prove that Jordan didn't take GP off hte dribble. I mean dog it's basketball. It's some guys in college and on the streets that would cross the shit out of GP in his prime.That doesn't take away from the fact he's a great player. I didnt say Jordan NEVER took Payton off the dribble I said he may have done it only 2 or 3 times that entire 96 series and a shake is different from a drive once the shake is completed a player still has to drive to the basket!!Iverson shook the hell out of Jordan but finished with a drive Ive watched a lot of Kobe vs Jordan videos and ive never seen Kobe drive on Jordan but ive seen MJ drive on Kobe!!
