MK1s can play .mp3's on discs burned as Audio Discs. It cannot play .mp3's on discs burned as MP3 discs. So it is possible it just depends on what options your burning software has.

hi there i wonder if u can help me ,i got told the mk2 does not play mp3s , i have tried to play a mp3 on my mates mk2 cdj , and it dident play , but i see u can play them , can u tell me how u bruned the disc is it a data disc u burned , and also if i burn all my mp3s as data will they play on any pioneer cdj or most cdjs , plz can you or any one that knows the anser to my questions write back plz,

Hold the auto cue button and then it will come on
