  • I'm very sorry to any inflammation of the economic crisis Greece.

Neither had not been highly developed, but was there a good standard in relation to prices and wages.

  • thanks for this video

  • Isn´t there any literature about those days. Nobody wrote a book about that era? Even a novel perhaps?

  • I was there in 84 with Troy (Japanese Canadian) and the following year with ginger haired/bearded Simon, Max and a few others! I remember we were there at Xmas and pinching some street decorations to put in our room! Remember Mark n Tess, Jamjar and bald headed Luna and loads of others!

  • Great video....brought back some great memories! I was there in '84 and '85! I knew people who were arrested for sleeping in the caves and we had a whipround to get them outta jail! Loved cafe Neon....great atmosphere of an evening...also used to go in a pub, too, just down from the cafe but there was always trouble!

  • I have fond memories of `90, 91 from Napflio when we are picking oranges, drank and spent it.

Greetings to friends from France, England, Argentina, Portugal ... etc..

    Kafenio Costa (Suli) hahaha

    Dragan, Serbia

  • @adraganz do you mean Suli, one of the two brothers of the Harry's Bar? I've been there in winter 90-91 too. Marco, Trst

  • @imegatanadoiataki

    Yes, I meant to them.

I was there about 6 months and enjoyed myself.

Even drachma was in circulation. Greetings from Serbia.

  • @adraganz yeah, even Jugoslavija :(( It seems centuries ago. No internet, no cell phones, nothing, just people, beer and fucking oranges. I felt in love for the first time also, with a girl from London ))) Ciao

  • @imegatanadoiataki

I was with two other Serbs my best friend.

One met a girl from Canada and one from the USA. Now they both live there with two children.

The only thing I stayed in Serbia.

  • Chicken for lunch!!, you don't know you're born, mostly cold pasta if I remember rightly

  • Brilliant I did the orange picking in 1985 in Nafplion.I rememder Harry and Costa's cafe and had a few kilos in there. Did you go to Yorgos soup kitchen? that was a place, a big plate of soup and bread followed by a few kilos of retsina. What a mad town it was i've never had sing songs like it. We must have driven the locals mental with our fighting and drinking and singing.

  • thanks mate, i cant believe i found this. I was in Mikines (few miles from nafplion) picking oranges and living in a cave during winter 1990. what a memory , It was exactly as you narrated .waiting at the local mini market to be picked up and drinking cognac for breakfast. 'ena kilo krasee para-kalo' was really useful to know . Thanks again , Frederic
