  • yup all rounds, all R3350's except Dreadnaught with the R4360 and Czech mate the little yak that could with its R2800 as huxypoo quite rightly mentioned... and that Sept Fury motor is a clone of the motor used in Rare Bear

  • very nice

  • All Wright R3350's, one Pratt and Whitney R4360, but the small plane in third place actually has a Pratt and Whitney R2800.

  • jonmosquito, how do you know of the sound of the R-4360. Can you tell me where to find any source of this engine's sound on the net or do you refer to personally hearing it as installed in 'Dreadnought'? I have never been able to locate anything anywhere, I would appreciate any help on this matter.

  • I'm not sure about this, but I don't think any of the Sea Furys in the field have the stock Bristol Centaurus engine. They're mostly re-engined with R-3350s, but particularly that one in September Fury is tweaked within an inch of its life.

  • That is correct, all 3350's -- except the mighty Dreadnaught, which sports a truly massive 4360. In person, Dreadnaught's rumble is deeper and awe-inspiring -- but September Fury just _screams_. This is the first year since Bill Kerchenfaut became September Fury's crew chief.... with somewhat predictable results. The guy's real good!

  • Because it's powered by a fuel-injected Wright R3350 and not the stock Bristol Centarus sleeve-valve radial.

  • why does September Fury sound different to the other Sea Furys?

  • Wow.

  • September Fury sounds awsome!!!!

  • Yee Olde Fenceliners.

  • Beautiful
