She & Him do covers right; they don't try to "make it their own" by changing the entire genre (e.g. heavy metal version of "hit me baby one more time"), and they don't just do a straight carbon-copy.

@ERIKAISHOTT I couldn't possibly agree more! His tone is beautiful, has a simple jazzy feel. Kind of an Every Man's Johnny Smith. His style on songs like this, I Put A Spell On You, and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas got me into She and Him. Now if only they would do more songs like this. Just simply beautiful guitar, and that incredibly and sultry voice!
