Looks to me like the evo let him past. Notice the way the 106 is pulling hard and NOT catching the evo, and once on the straight the evo moves over and slows down, the 106 doesnt need to lift off to avoid him.

Im not putting a downer on the car, its pretty awesome for what it is, but it is just a 1.6, which means, without forced induction, your looking at 200bhp tops, if youve got the cash maybe 230. It might weigh nothing but power still counts, and just as importantly, tourque.

The car now has a 2.0 307 touring car engine in. Also by the loooks of that the evo was point and shoot, bic the driver of the car was sat right behind the evo on the corners, weather the evo was faster down the straights or not the 106 with this driver was obviously better and would have eventually out brake or out maneuvered him.

This 1.6 engine is more than 200 bhp with about 60k spent on it... considering its a 1.6 16v and the evo is what 300+ bhp TURBO i think the 106 did better than ok!

I never said the 106 is no good though did i. But he wouldnt have been making much more then 200bhp, 230bhp tops. Its mega money after that for minimal power gains. The s1600 cars dont make that much power and theyve had lots of cash thrown at them.

Thats going to be immense though with a 2.0 in it. I had a sorted Mi16 220bhp powered 205 and that shifted, that thing will be immense.

gearbox is mint at shifting up but downshifts are terrible! Nearly gets him into trouble on the last corner after he passed the evo. Probly help if he blipped the throttle. Mint car tho, any1 know what it does the 1/4 mile in?

One small question though.. Why don't you blip on downshifts? On the track when you're driving close to the limits, rev matching could really help to smooth things out.

To get that kind of power to weight ratio from say an impreza, you'd need around 420bhp.
