I think this is the most amazing episode of the entire show. People would think it's stupid but think how bizarre and awesome it truly is: His shop teacher makes Pete think he's doing some top secret mystery project and he's dying to know. Second, he goes to the school to check it out in the middle of the night and the shop teacher is there...waiting for him lol. All that to know it was for an air conditioner. Brilliant. Fucking Brilliant.
@DylanWalker FUN FACT: You are incorrect. That actor is Rick Gomez, though Sam Rockwell WAS in an episode of Pete & Pete... "Teddy" in the "Road Warrior" episode. Easily verifiable with IMDB.
@christadietzel aaaand apparently IMDB is a liar. "Teddy" is supposedly played by David Martel in the other episode (and 12 others), but I distrust the entire internet now that IMDB has lied to me...
@h193013 Yes, J.K. Rowling started writing Harry Potter in 1990. However, the first book the series was not published until 1997, one year after the TAPP series concluded.
This makes me smile- it reminds me of our first Design and Technology class in secondary school with Mr Hall giving us a run down on how dangerous all the machines could be- I just remember thinking, 'Why the hell are they making us do this?!' I am still the proud owner of a handmade metal photo frame and a rotating wooden ballet dancer :)
Actually, no, that was Sam Rockwell who was in "The Green Mile." The guy who plays Endless Mike is actually Rick Gomez, who's been in quite a few things (in "Sin City," for example, he was the smaller half of Shlub and Klump, the two hoods/hitmen who wouldn't shut up, plus he was also in "Band of Brothers"). He DOES look quite a bit like Rockwell, however, so it's an honest mistake.
This is the most awesome show Nickelodeon has ever produced. It's sad nowadays that shows on Nickelodeon these days are dumbed down, degraded, and more idiot friendly.
@MacDragard i agree, there's no originality or uniqueness in nickelodeon anymore. now it's just generic tween crap that's completely unexciting and uneventful. i usually turn off the tv or change the channel when those shows come on, because they suck. 90's rule!
@90sandealy00srule1 The only decent show on Nick now is Avatar, but even that's being shoved to the side for more Spongebob. I think the final nail in the coffin was when Nick signed on to make the Fred movie.
@MacDragard Most definitely, one of the best of all time! This was Nick at its prime. (Late 80's through mid-90's.) It started going downhill toward the end of the 90's when Spongebob came out and all those Japanese cartoons they show now. It was fun to grow up in such a cool ere! Computers and video games were around, but hadn't yet sucked out kid's brains like today. Nickelodeon is garbage now-a-days. Kids today have no idea what they missed...
14. I figured it all out! they mention little pete being 10, and big pete being four years older. Thats for the first season. He's 16 during the third and last season, cause he gets his drivers license in the "Road Warrior" episode. s3 e9
Man I remember all the great shows that were on in the 90's (especially on nickelodeon) and then look at what kids / teens are watching now and feel like i'm in the TWILIGHT ZONE!
Its not they need to reair this show (though they should, instead of airing icarly and spongebob 24/7) its that they need to produce new shows with the same qualities as this one and other old nick shows.
They need to put this show back on air. I mean everytime I go to watch a classic Nick show, those bastards at Viacom have taken it down. Why? I mean it isn't like they show them anymore!!!!
What they need to do is make a station similar to Boomarang & put all of the classics on it. Today's kids don't know what they are missing. iCarly? I mean fucking seriously!!!
I've started a petition for the release of season 3 of this show. you can find the url on my channel page, since i can't post it here. Just trying to get the word out!
I heard "Hey Sandy" was a tribute to the Kent State shootings of 1970, when one of the four students who was shot, Sandra Scheuer, was walking to her next class.
what episode is the one where young pete heres his favorite song by that garage band!! i need to know, its been bugging me for like 10 years!!!! if you could help me out that would rock, or if you know where to watch it!! thanks buddy!!
on the prank episode its the one when little pete puts hot sauce on the little girl's food. It ends with pete and pitstains crew joining forces to prank the principle It may be third season most likely. it was a two parter i believe. Its been so many years who knows.
OMG!!! I KNEW I SEEN HER, with the red lipstick!!! This show was filmed in Jersey which of course is close to the NY where she is from so I am not surprised if it is.
I do plan to upload my favorite episodes here but currently YouTube is having serious problems with how they encode videos, so I will wait until the quality issues are resolved. Seasons 1 and 2 of this series are on DVD (although Season 3 is not available)m or you could try downloading from Bit Torrent or another file sharing group.
Just a random question, did you put up this video after seeing the Nostalgia Critic talk about it or is it just a coincidence that the dates are pretty close? Either way, great show. I'm glad I get to watch it on Youtube after missing out on it when it first aired.
I watched the first 2 seasons back when they ran and I remembered this as being one of my favorite episodes, so I posted this one first. The reason I'm doing this is because although there are many P&P episodes on YT most of them are low quality video. As far as Nostalgia Critic, I've actually never heard of it.
The Nostalgia Critic is a guy who talks about old shows and movies, and January was his Nickelodeon month where he mentioned P&P as being one of the best shows, so I decided to check it out on YT. Anyway, thanks for posting^^
