So a question I like to ask people like you. Considering eye protection costs at most, 2-3 dollars and ear protection, a few dollars. Why forgo either, when the consequences of using neither will be long term and much more costly?

@illogicalmethod 2 or 3 dollar eye protection wont save your eyes from much...maybe a fly hiting you in the eye most people think that flimsy plastic will save you but it wont if the firearm blows up and shrapnel gets in your eyes. just saying. eye protection is more like 100 dollars ear protection I agree with. I dont own eye protection just have some cheap shooting glasses for the range cos its a rule some how....

Well, iowndunoob... That's about the most ridiculous assertion I've heard. Plenty of people have(myself included) had their eyes spared because they chose to wear eye protection. Eye protection will most certainly keep the vast majority of objects such as shrapnel and such, out of your eyes. Unless you're suggesting shrapnel and such can disobey the laws of physics.

That's not to say that it won't protect your eyes from everything, certainly there's the odd accident that could...

Then again, if you either;

A.) Catch a ricochet in the eye(yes, protective glasses WILL protect them from that).

B.) Catch a .22 shell in the eye-ball and royally fuck it up.

@illogicalmethod a ricochet wont be protected from 2 dollar walmart glasses you need ballistic glasses for that....maybe a shell some how flying in to your eye on some freak accident cheap glasses will save it yes. but for actuall shrapnel no. I plan on getting ballistic glasses some day but not today there was a test on YT already done of what Im talking about maybe a set of 20 dollar GI goggles would protect from a series blow up or anything like that but not 2 dollar glasses I can

How did you keep your CETME scope mount from moving forward? I have a good CLAW MOUINT from USA and the MFI but they move. I am going to sand off the receiver to equal out the tabs but it's delicate surgery.
