  • Sublime.

  • I saw that opera a few weeks ago in Hamburg... rarely had such a strong impression

  • @MoeHoheluft Thanks comment!! You've seen this opera!! In Japan, it will be staged so no, you were actually watching this, I think even lucky. I hope that as more people heard this fantastic work by Pfitzner.

  • @nyankothecat You' ve to come to Hamburg, Munich, Zurich or Frankfurt! These opera houses have Palestrina in their repertoire. Seems like a Pfitzner renaissance at the moment in German-speeking countries. But I honestly have to admit that there had been many discussions whether you should play it or not: Although the music is widely considered as one of the best opera scores ever written, Pfitzner's inglorious role in the nazi regime should never be forgotten...

  • Mindblowing - very nostalgic and sublime conducting

  • A wonderful performance of unjustly forgotten masterpiece. One of the greatest operas of all time and a work of divine inspiration

  • Thank you bulansbriel1 for your comment that summarizes everything what has to be said about that wonderful posting!

  • YEESSSS! :)
