In reference to the Layla kidnapping question, I thought that would be a great plot twist since she works at the police station and also has a personal connection to John and Fish. If someone wanted to get back at John and/or Fish and/or Cristian for that matter what better way then to do it then through Layla. Mitch Laurence anyone?...he's the perfect villian and he is back to do nothing but reak havoc.
Well I do like the fact that Cris and Fish have become good friends because they both are encouraging each other not to give up on the person they wanna be with!! Who would have thought Cris and Fish would become friends, because Cris didn't like fish eventhough Cris claimed he wasn't jealous, but we know different!! LMAO!!

Cris, Layla, Kyle, Fish, John, and Marty are supposed to be involved again in the Kish storyline because it is supposed to be hate crimes against gays!! I guess these writer's wanna incorporate gay bashing in the Kish storyline which will again link Cris and Layla to KISH!! It didn't surprise me that the OLTL writer's would add gay bashing to the KISH storyline especially with all those anti gay protestors being at the gay rally!!!
Ok sorry I've been MIA this week. I was down with the flu and I have been off my feet trying to recover. I know the Kish stuff tends to overshadow Cayla especially last week. BUT.... they are moving forward. I disagree with Nancy though. If you think about it, Bo and Nora, Matthew and Destiny and also Charlie and Viki were also on a slow burn for awhile. We get some nice couple romantic moments over Thanksgiving and Christmas.
OK I am happy again now!!! Two things make me look forward to seeing on OLTL!!! Finally Layla gives into her feelings for Cristian and the one and only evil deranged psychotic Mitch Lawrence returns!!! Never thought I would be so happy to see OLTL next week!!! After going through my CAYLA withdrawal I finally get to see them give into their feelings or should I say My girl Layla finally gives in!!! Mitch Lawrence is about to wreak havoc on Llanview So next week is gonna be a good week!!!
Okay I just started to watch OLTL this week or last week and the only reason I'm watching it is because of cayla. But I can't stand it when they show them once a week or 30 sec in a episode I really like them together I just wish they would show them more often. I never thought that I would've watch OLTL cuz I'm stuck on Y&R but when I saw these two I was like what soap opera is this I got to watch it lol
I'm a fairly new viewer myself and started watching for Cayla, this is the only soap I will watch. I think it's going to get better, there are some good spoilers starting this week, they are going slow with this SL which isn't necesarily a bad thing. I wish they would move them to a more of a frontrunner sl but maybe eventually they will, it might help to write letters, a lot of us are doing that.
I say we should/could get something good from them for it's the holiday season. We have thanksgiving and christmas in the next 2 months so maybe things will go the way we want. A nice mistletoe kiss would work for me Isabelle. But with this show I don't know... I'm a beginner. LoL!
My question is once we get a little taste of CAYLA next week, how long will it be before they are shown again. This is one of the reasons I stopped watching OLTL in the first place. I'm still hanging in there but , DAMN!!!!
I hope we get a dose of Cayla today. Something, Anything. I joined the fan club but didn't get a response back yet. I found 3 sites I think. I'm depressed! I feel like a kid who's mother tells them, no you can't have any candy. This sucks. I think this is why I never got into soaps. Its torture. But this story line is worth it. LoL!
I seriously doubt that we will see them till next week. I would love to be pleasantly surprised but I've come to expect not to see them that often and the more I think about it the more it irritates me. I don't actually understand the popularity of Bo/Nora, Vicky/Charlie and her whole sick family and the same with Dorians pathetic family, the Todd/Blair/Tea think is totally overdone, I get nothing from Greg/Rachel/Sean and they need to get rid of Stacy and that mess.

I tried watching as many clips for Layla and Cristian from the past so I think Im almost caught up But I need new ones My goodness whats happening to me.
Cayla has been ignored more than any other story line I think but I have a feeling there might be some positive movement with their relationship next week...at least keep your fingers crossed but we know from that one picture we've seen that Layla goes to see Cristian at the diner next week.
Again I was deprived CAYLA because of KISH!!!! UGHHHH!!!! I am happy that Kyle and Oliver have confessed their undying love for each other to the world, but now can we just have CAYLA!!!!!!!!! Cris and Layla have done more than their share supporting Fish and now its' time for CAYLA to be drawn away from the KISH Storyline!!!! KISH can stand on their own now!!! This has been frustrating. I'm ready for them to move on Cayla too but I kind of like that they have them as part of the Kish storyline, I can see the 4 of them being best friends seeing as how none of them seem to have other friends on the show anymore. I agree Manda, I'm sick of the todd sl as well as the Nora/Bo SL and the Gigi/Rex/Stacy sl and Fish is going to be tied into that one when it's discovered that Stacy is carrying his baby.
It is so frustrating! Why even bring them down to support Fish when they barely said anything to him and as we know they said even less to each other. I hope they are on again this week, if not here's to waiting a whole week for progress at turtle porportions
Just watched the show. The wedding is over so I suppose they won't be on the rest of the week and I think we got another 30 seconds today. They could be on supporting Fish and Kyle I guess, we'll see.
You know what really ticks me off....Most of the spoilers either ignore this couple or maybe they get one little line while they go on and on about Tea/Todd/Blair and Rex/Gigi/Stacy and a couple of the other story lines and the only one I can even stomach is David Vickers (he's a real hoot) and think it was cute the way they had him befriend a teenager (Destiny) but I do wish we heard more about Cayla.
Why do they torture us like that with only 30 seconds of cayla...uuugghh!!! I know they are there to support fish, and that was very sweet btw, but I want to see them get more air time. It sucked when we had to wait like two weeks before we saw them...there is only so much of the blair/todd/tea or natalie/jared/jessica/brody ish I can take before I lose it. I really hope to see them next week and we get to see them talk it out and hopefully Cris will move back in...fingers crossed people

Yeah Nancy they got my hopes all up and that's all we got was 30 seconds. I would have liked to have had at least one scene of them talking it out. Well here's to it hopefully paying off big time on Monday.

It is so happening soon. If Cristian had stayed a little longer after he gave Layla the check, she would have said something. By the look on her face at that point, it looked like she wanted him to stop all of the "madness" and say that he was going to stay. I think that if he just stands his ground, he will get her soon.

On one of the spoiler sites they show pictures of upcoming episodes and there were 3 pictures for the week of 11/9, 2 were pictures of Cris and Carlotta talking while they are cooking in the kitchen diner, the 3rd one is Layla coming thru the door to the kitchen of the diner and her and Cris have very intense looks on thier faces...they don't let ya know what's happening they just show the pictures.
What spoiler site did you get that from please tell me because I am anxious!!! I just realized there is so much to this CAYLA Storyline!!! I really wanna know about Layla's history over her past years before coming to Llanview!! I think CAYLA is about to be intense!!!
I'm not good at sending sites but when I google one life to live spoilers it's the 3rd one on the list, it says on the google page that it's going to give you spoilers for Oct 12th or something but it doesn't.
Good points on Layla's history or lack thereof. There is so much of Layla's story that has either been hinted at or just plain looked over and it is about time that she be explored. I would love for her relationship with her mother to be explored as well as her past in LA. It always seemed that Layla was in Vange's shadow and that seems to be part of what is blocking her from seeking happiness with Cristian. Cristian is right, it is time for Layla to think about her own happiness.
Layla is definitely a blank slate which is what makes her so exciting in a way. Her underdevelopment is just a page waiting to be filled. I think we will see Lisa Williamson coming to town soon. Layla has mentioned her relationship with her mother much more than she ever did lately.

I can see why Layla would be uncomfortable pursuing a relationship with Cristian. Hell I wouldn't go down that path either. I sure as hell don't want to sleep with anybody my sister has slept with, and I am sure the feeling is mutual. What Layla did showed she has character. It is kinda gross in the grand scheme of things, but it's a Soap Opera and I have seen worse happen.
Exactally, it's a soap and half the time no one even knows who anyone is related to..lol They are doing the right thing by addressing the issue but in soapland they only have so many principal actors and it's not unusual for this to happen but I'm not sure they usually address it in such a senstive way as they are this time, the writers on the SL are awesome.

I don't understand why Layla's mother hate Cristian? It wasn't Cristian's fault the relationship ended!! That was all on Evangeline. Layla needs to stop using Evangeline as an excuse for not wanting to be with Cristian!! Cristian will always care for Vange but Cristian wants Layla and isn't ashamed to admit it!!! Layla said when she is with a man she wants the man to want her so much and she wants to be the one against the wall. Well Cris will definately have Layla against the wall!!!
Well Layla's mother felt her baby isn't responsible for the end of her relationship with Cristian and she felt her daughter deserved a 2nd chance after she cheated on him. What she doesn't know is Cristian was willing to give it to her if she stopped seeing Todd.
Layla is just plain scared of how much she could love Cristian and also of losing him. He reassured her that she wouldn't lose him in HIS fantasy. He got straight to the heart of the matter. He knows his baby.

Evangelines mom hated John McBain too so I think in her mind no one was really good enough for Evangeline but I get the impression that the mom isn't as protective of Layla, at least they've never explored that that I know of, but of course I'm a late watcher and only got my info from youtube clips.
That's right I forgot Vange's mom didn't like John Mcbain either. Lisa Williamson acts like no man is good enough for her precisous Evangeline!!! I wish the writer's would focus on the rocky strained relationship between Layla and her mom!! I think if the writers bring Lisa Williamson in the CAYLA storyline it would make things alot interesting!!! I just want to see Layla in scenes with her mom because you can tell Layla's mom always praised Vange and looked down on Layla!!
But Layla has a cute sassy streak that I love, Evangeline didn'thave that and we haven't seen it with Layla lately so I hope once her and Cristian get together we see that side of her again.
Layla came to town kind of sassy and with an attitude, a total contrast to Evangelines maturity and steadyness at that time, Layla has really grown up and matured while she's been on oltl but I agree that I would like to see them explore her relationship with their mother, Evangeline seemed to take quite a bit from her mom but I don't think Layla would.
I remember Layla was real feisty and kinda bitchy in a good way though!!! I'll never forget when Layla put Natalie in her place when she first arrived and that's when I said WHOA!!! Cris doesn't owe Vange a thing!!! Vange wasn't thinking about Cristian's feelings when she was kissing Todd, and Vange sure wasn't thinking about Cris's feelings when she was wanted to go with Todd to Chicago to find his son!!! Even when Vange told Cris she kissed Todd, Vange still remained friends with Todd when Cristian asked her to stop seeing Todd. I don't hate Vange, but Vange is the past and Cris is ready to move forward to the present!!!

I just accidently found an article about Tike and the gay storyline, she just asked that Layla not be dumbed down for it, she had to really fall for this guy who had been denying his sexality so she said the tears the day that she confronts and breaks up were easy to drum up because she felt that Scott played his part about his parents rejecting him because of who he was so effectivly that it just really hurt. She said after that amazing scene you could hear a pin drop in the studio.
OK did he really need to move out? How could she let him go like that...I guess she is truly afraid of being hurt again....cant wait to see the next scene..!
If anyone is the true victim when it comes to relationships is Cristian!!! Cris gives 100% of himself to relationships and he never cheats. Vanessa was a con and she used Cristian. Cristian thought he had to marry Vannesa to protect her, Cris didn't know Vanessa was evil!! I know Layla was mad at Cris for hurting Sarah, but in all the other relationships Cristian is the one who ends up being hurt!!!
Cris doesn't ruin his relationships!!! I agree Cris hurt Sarah to be with Vanessa but Vanessa played Cris for a fool and Lied to him!! Jessica cheated on Cris when they were together, Natalie dumped Cris for John Mcbain, and Evangeline cheated on Cris with Todd, eventhough they never had sex, Vange's betrayal to Cris was when she still remained friends with Todd knowing that Todd conspired with Vincent to destroy Cris's boxing career!!!
I love that Layla and Cristian were friends first. I think that will contribute to this becoming the REAL DEAL. What they have shared is so true and beautiful. My heart broke for her when Cristian left. I am glad she Ollie to lean on.
I will say I enjoy the build up but the pay off is what I am anticipating the most. It's when I hear, "I now pronounce you husband and wife" and someone refer to her as "Mrs. Vega" that I will be jumping for joy!!!
I wasn't certain the writers were going to confront that aspect so soon. Layla has a right to be apprehensive and she wants to make certain this is real before she leaps. In the end we all know it will be worth the wait and worth the fight 'cause they are going to fight to be together.

I understand Layla's dilema. She has always been loyal to Evangeline and if it were written any differently it would not be true to who Layla is. Cristian was with her sister first and no matter what happened she's not like other females on the show, she's not about to jump into something with her sisters ex without feeling comfortable.
I really like how this is being written, Cris is stating that he is ready to move on as well as acknowledging his bad past relationships.
I really want them to get together, but I like the time they're taking with this storyline. They've known each other for years, alot of history there. Remember when she found out what Vincent did to Cris? She broke it off right then and there. Her loyalty is real. And Vange kissed Todd AFTER they all found out how Todd used Vincent's greed aganst Cris. Cris and Vange were over and I get the guilt thing on her being in a coma, but I'm not sure they would be together if she hadn't been hurt.
But it was cute layla and fish...I hope she realizing that cris loves her! If she's not i gonna kill her!! i leave in belgium and we don't have this soap! but i real love them,,,i now my english is bad lol

Then it said Cris and Layla are feeling miserable for not being able to be together!! I hope they show CAYLA today!! I did see a spoiler that said for today that Layla and Cristian are feeling miserable being apart so apparently they will be on today but probably seperatly, then they are thrown together during the gay rally which looks like it's next week. I read one spoiler where this person gives their opion and says "does anyone care about this couple? not so much"...that pissed me off.

I just hope that spoiler site is right, it didn't say anything about them being on Mon and Tues. I saw a lot of the Crave clips on youtube and I liked them and they were fun to watch but liked Evangeline much better with John. Layla and Cris are really better for each other.

I feel so sorry for her though, for once a bloke feels perfect and she can't see past the place she was alloted at birth in her family, which is always to put Vange first and take a chance on a love that can and will change everything.
Cris is right, Vange loved both these people and i don't for a second believe she wouldn't understand them falling for each other.
Cristian laid it all out there for her today. He was completely vulnerable and open to her willling to give her all of his heart and she wants to give him all of her heart.
But her fear is playing tricks and amplifying her guilty. They are soooo angsty but I love them. Just adore them. I so wanted Cristian to just pull her into his arms when he asked her if she would walk away from him. Their love is so beautiful.

It was sad but it was necessary. Cristian made his choice today and the woman he is choosing is Layla. He isn't choosing her because he's bored, horny or has nothing better to do. He isn't choosing her because his heart still belongs to someone else. Fact is he wants to give her his whole heart. She just has to accept what he's offering her.

In reference to the Layla kidnapping question, I thought that would be a great plot twist since she works at the police station and also has a personal connection to John and Fish. I guess these writer's wanna incorporate gay bashing in the Kish storyline which will again link Cris and Layla to KISH!! It didn't surprise me that the OLTL writer's would add gay bashing to the KISH storyline especially with all those anti gay protestors being at the gay rally!!!

Ok sorry I've been MIA this week. I was down with the flu and I have been off my feet trying to recover. I know the Kish stuff tends to overshadow Cayla especially last week. BUT.... they are moving forward. I disagree with Nancy though. If you think about it, Bo and Nora, Matthew and Destiny and also Charlie and Viki were also on a slow burn for awhile. We get some nice couple romantic moments over Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I think it's going to get better, there are some good spoilers starting this week, they are going slow with this SL which isn't necesarily a bad thing. I wish they would move them to a more of a frontrunner sl but maybe eventually they will, it might help to write letters, a lot of us are doing that.

I seriously doubt that we will see them till next week. I would love to be pleasantly surprised but I've come to expect not to see them that often and the more I think about it the more it irritates me. I don't actually understand the popularity of Bo/Nora, Vicky/Charlie and her whole sick family and the same with Dorians pathetic family, the Todd/Blair/Tea think is totally overdone, I get nothing from Greg/Rachel/Sean and they need to get rid of Stacy and that mess.

Again I was deprived CAYLA because of KISH!!!! UGHHHH!!!! I am happy that Kyle and Oliver have confessed their undying love for each other to the world, but now can we just have CAYLA!!!!!!!!! Cris and Layla have done more than their share supporting Fish and now its' time for CAYLA to be drawn away from the KISH Storyline!!!! KISH can stand on their own now!!! This has been frustrating. You know what really ticks me off....Most of the spoilers either ignore this couple or maybe they get one little line while they go on and on about Tea/Todd/Blair and Rex/Gigi/Stacy and a couple of the other story lines and the only one I can even stomach is David Vickers (he's a real hoot) and think it was cute the way they had him befriend a teenager (Destiny) but I do wish we heard more about Cayla.

Why do they torture us like that with only 30 seconds of cayla...uuugghh!!! I know they are there to support fish, and that was very sweet btw, but I want to see them get more air time. It sucked when we had to wait like two weeks before we saw them...there is only so much of the blair/todd/tea or natalie/jared/jessica/brody ish I can take before I lose it. I really hope to see them next week and we get to see them talk it out and hopefully Cris will move back in...fingers crossed people

It is so happening soon. If Cristian had stayed a little longer after he gave Layla the check, she would have said something. By the look on her face at that point, it looked like she wanted him to stop all of the "madness" and say that he was going to stay. I think that if he just stands his ground, he will get her soon.

On one of the spoiler sites they show pictures of upcoming episodes and there were 3 pictures for the week of 11/9, 2 were pictures of Cris and Carlotta talking while they are cooking in the kitchen diner, the 3rd one is Layla coming thru the door to the kitchen of the diner and her and Cris have very intense looks on thier faces...they don't let ya know what's happening they just show the pictures.

Good points on Layla's history or lack thereof. There is so much of Layla's story that has either been hinted at or just plain looked over and it is about time that she be explored. I would love for her relationship with her mother to be explored as well as her past in LA. It always seemed that Layla was in Vange's shadow and that seems to be part of what is blocking her from seeking happiness with Cristian. Cristian is right, it is time for Layla to think about her own happiness.

Layla is definitely a blank slate which is what makes her so exciting in a way. Her underdevelopment is just a page waiting to be filled. I think we will see Lisa Williamson coming to town soon. Layla has mentioned her relationship with her mother much more than she ever did lately.

I can see why Layla would be uncomfortable pursuing a relationship with Cristian. Hell I wouldn't go down that path either. I sure as hell don't want to sleep with anybody my sister has slept with, and I am sure the feeling is mutual. What Layla did showed she has character. It is kinda gross in the grand scheme of things, but it's a Soap Opera and I have seen worse happen.

Exactally, it's a soap and half the time no one even knows who anyone is related to..lol They are doing the right thing by addressing the issue but in soapland they only have so many principal actors and it's not unusual for this to happen but I'm not sure they usually address it in such a senstive way as they are this time, the writers on the SL are awesome.

Well Layla's mother felt her baby isn't responsible for the end of her relationship with Cristian and she felt her daughter deserved a 2nd chance after she cheated on him. What she doesn't know is Cristian was willing to give it to her if she stopped seeing Todd.
Layla is just plain scared of how much she could love Cristian and also of losing him. He reassured her that she wouldn't lose him in HIS fantasy. He got straight to the heart of the matter. He knows his baby.

There's alot of Layla we don't know about and I would love if the writer's would explore Layla's past!!! Who is Layla Williamson!!! Maybe the writer's can incorporate that in the CAYLA storyline!!!

Cris doesn't owe Vange a thing!!! Vange wasn't thinking about Cristian's feelings when she was kissing Todd, and Vange sure wasn't thinking about Cris's feelings when she was wanted to go with Todd to Chicago to find his son!!! Even when Vange told Cris she kissed Todd, Vange still remained friends with Todd when Cristian asked her to stop seeing Todd. I don't hate Vange, but Vange is the past and Cris is ready to move forward to the present!!!

I just accidently found an article about Tike and the gay storyline, she just asked that Layla not be dumbed down for it, she had to really fall for this guy who had been denying his sexality so she said the tears the day that she confronts and breaks up were easy to drum up because she felt that Scott played his part about his parents rejecting him because of who he was so effectivly that it just really hurt. She said after that amazing scene you could hear a pin drop in the studio.

If anyone is the true victim when it comes to relationships is Cristian!!! Cris gives 100% of himself to relationships and he never cheats. Vanessa was a con and she used Cristian. Cristian thought he had to marry Vannesa to protect her, Cris didn't know Vanessa was evil!! I know Layla was mad at Cris for hurting Sarah, but in all the other relationships Cristian is the one who ends up being hurt!!!

Cris doesn't ruin his relationships!!! I agree Cris hurt Sarah to be with Vanessa but Vanessa played Cris for a fool and Lied to him!! Jessica cheated on Cris when they were together, Natalie dumped Cris for John Mcbain, and Evangeline cheated on Cris with Todd, eventhough they never had sex, Vange's betrayal to Cris was when she still remained friends with Todd knowing that Todd conspired with Vincent to destroy Cris's boxing career!!!

I love that Layla and Cristian were friends first. I think that will contribute to this becoming the REAL DEAL. What they have shared is so true and beautiful. My heart broke for her when Cristian left. I am glad she Ollie to lean on.
I will say I enjoy the build up but the pay off is what I am anticipating the most. It's when I hear, "I now pronounce you husband and wife" and someone refer to her as "Mrs. Vega" that I will be jumping for joy!!!

I wasn't certain the writers were going to confront that aspect so soon. Layla has a right to be apprehensive and she wants to make certain this is real before she leaps. In the end we all know it will be worth the wait and worth the fight 'cause they are going to fight to be together.

I understand Layla's dilema. She has always been loyal to Evangeline and if it were written any differently it would not be true to who Layla is. Cristian was with her sister first and no matter what happened she's not like other females on the show, she's not about to jump into something with her sisters ex without feeling comfortable.
I really like how this is being written, Cris is stating that he is ready to move on as well as acknowledging his bad past relationships.

I really want them to get together, but I like the time they're taking with this storyline. They've known each other for years, alot of history there. Remember when she found out what Vincent did to Cris? She broke it off right then and there. Her loyalty is real. And Vange kissed Todd AFTER they all found out how Todd used Vincent's greed aganst Cris. Cris and Vange were over and I get the guilt thing on her being in a coma, but I'm not sure they would be together if she hadn't been hurt.

I hope they show CAYLA again because I read the spoilers when Cris told Layla he would move out so she didn't have to go back to Maryland. Then it said Cris and Layla are feeling miserable for not being able to be together!! I hope they show CAYLA today!! I know they are gonna be at the Gay Rally to support Fish but that isn't until the 2nd of November!! So they gotta show CAYLA atleast today or Friday!!!

I did see a spoiler that said for today that Layla and Cristian are feeling miserable being apart so apparently they will be on today but probably seperatly, then they are thrown together during the gay rally which looks like it's next week. I read one spoiler where this person gives their opion and says "does anyone care about this couple? not so much"...that pissed me off.

I just hope that spoiler site is right, it didn't say anything about them being on Mon and Tues. I saw a lot of the Crave clips on youtube and I liked them and they were fun to watch but liked Evangeline much better with John. Layla and Cris are really better for each other.

On a spoiler i saw that it says they try to ignore their feelings for each other but end up being miserable and it said it happens on WEDNESDAY 28TH and i don't think they'll show them on friday probably on the 2ND OF NOVEMBER, but this sucks though!!!

Even if Evangeline woke up and Cris had to choose between Layla and Evangeline, I know he would choose Layla!!! Cristian said he will always love Evangeline but Cristian has moved on and he wants to move on with LAYLA!!! Cristian wants to give Layla his heart and Layla is scared!!! I'm looking forward to seeing Cristian convince Layla they belong together. Layla needs to take a trip home and talk to Vange instead of saying it's not right to be together because of Vange!!

Ok, just watched Cayla clips and my heart aches for these two. Layla has been burned soooooooooooooooooooooo many times that SHE can't see straight and Cris is head over heels trying to give Layla what she thinks she want that HE can't see straight either.
What is wrong with them. Cris chase after her and make her see straight please, because this is driving me nuts. i really don't like angus stories and I sure as hell my CAYLA in an angust filled story. THEY NEED TO BE TOGETHER!!!!!!!

Cristian laid it all out there for her today. He was completely vulnerable and open to her willling to give her all of his heart and she wants to give him all of her heart.
But her fear is playing tricks and amplifying her guilty. They are soooo angsty but I love them. Just adore them. I so wanted Cristian to just pull her into his arms when he asked her if she would walk away from him. Their love is so beautiful.

It was sad but it was necessary. Cristian made his choice today and the woman he is choosing is Layla. He isn't choosing her because he's bored, horny or has nothing better to do.
