its all good....Devin, the lead vocalist from Fasedown has joined what is left of Vengeance Rising after Roger Martinez's departure and the band is now called Once Dead...i have the cd...it is most wonderful..for Roger to depart from Christ it makes you wonder if he even had a realationship with the savior at all...

Vengeance Rising was one of the few Christian Metal bands I enjoyed. Truly awesome band. I miss them.

The only cassette that ever brought me into the christian book store. I still remember walking in wearing my megadeth tee and asking for my copy of once dead, they had it and they also gave me a travel bible for free :)

@vio2112 Too bad Deliverencem, Tourniquet and Believer are gay and sing like girls. Vengence Rising actually was tough and seriously heavy hardcore stuff. The majority of most Christian punk and hardcore is watered down and poppy. Only a few good bands exist,. Also Tourniquet are stupid animal rights activist hippies and are cheesy as hell.

I just made a remix of this- (a rearrangement is probably a more accurate description)- I'm gonna upload it tomorrow- "Can't get out" and "Frontal Lobotomy" too... they're better than the originals, imo- longer with more of Larry Farkas' kick-ass soloing... just in case you're interested.

that's the official version according to the rest of the band; maybe 4 years ago I asked them on a band discussion thread; tons of people were asking about Rog', too. In exchange, Roger got to keep ownership of the name & all income from future releases.

Back in late 1989/early 1990, I gave a copy of this album to my friend and neighbor, Race Harder, and he flipped his lid! Finally, a "christian" thrash metal band that, through comparison, made even most secular metal artists appear weak and 'pussylike'. I don't even care if Roger Martinez has since begotten his christian roots. It is noone's business how he decides to live his life...it doesn't have an effect on my own life anyway. Long live Vengeance Rising...I f***in' love your music!
