i have the cort m200, my dad has the cort m700 and the m1200, and we both agree for the money they are just as good as any gibson, epiphone or prs which they are modled on...most guitars are made in korea so as for they are made by slaves, all the ibanez's and others that are made in korea are made in the cort factory... they are a very understated guitar and i would recomend one to any guitarist, weather you are beginning to play or you have done for 50 years its great!

I tried an m-600 and it felt good but it had a twangy fret buzz sound when unpluged would that go away with a change of strings and riseing the action

(it was probably sitting there for a long time too)

I have a Cort m 600 i bought it on December and i can say it sounds realy good.........even better with changing the pickups but even with the original ones it sounds ok.Althought i dont know if getting a cort m600 IS a jump up from your Epiphone......I mean with that sort of money(500euro) you can buy a better Epiphone or even a better amp

higher end corts such as the 600 are much better quality than just about any epiphone for the price...Cort also has much better quality control, epiphone and gibson for that matter have horrible quality control, honestly I personally think corts are very underrated and priced incredibly fairly, this brand deserves much more than they get

Cort makes almost all the epiphones, so buying a better epiphone for the same price as a cort is goïng to be hard, but for 500 euro you can find better guitars indeed(but I would not go for an epiphone then)

I totally agree with you but think cheaper Seymour Duncan's or Dimarzio's could already do a great job. Would it be right to pay the same price for the pickups as for the guitar ?

m600 is a guitar that deserves much price that it wants. be sure if it's mark was epiphone, its price would be $200 more. if anyone cant afford to buy a gibson LP, you can choose this, be sure. but prefer the models before 2007
