Whoever made this video is using the word Parody wrong. It ISN'T a parody, but instead a blatant rip off of certain tunes. Regardless if it's copied, I listen to both chutney and the original indian verions because their equally as good; granted sometimes the chutney version is better.
who ever do this, want a man up they ass! yuh real dotish...we all know they do it so y d fuck u have to point it out and make a video? such a bitch!!
I like how people think that "IT'S NOT FAIR TO JUDGE ME, YOU SHOULD JUDGE EVERYBODY" is a valid excuse. Ravi, you got caught with your pants down. Maybe if you didn't ripoff your songs wholesale from those other artists, then you wouldn't have a problem. As is, you're just a plaguarising, violence inciting, sore losing FAILURE.
Chutney, soca, and dancehall are nothing but illiterate forms of "music" for unintelligent people. The only reason they are so popular and the "artistes" make so much money is that the world is largely populated with stupid people. Oh, and Ravi B is a bullerman
yow ravi b dont write his own shit...80% of artists big or small, world wide have song writers. song writers usually write songs along with producers in da studio...majority of the time artist dont even kno if they stole lyrics or melodies.....buh producers should kno lolol.
pungalunks, steupsssss come on nah man, BETTA DAN DAT!!!
That is a disrespectful thing to say about musicians... coming from someone who should not be considered a musician with regard to what he's doing. Ravi, rise to the challenge and give we something original, or suck salt!
Sorry if it seems like re-stating the obvious. I was just making a reply, like Nadia replying with "Tek Sunita" to the "Sunita and Nadia/Catch Meh Lover" song.
I understand where you are coming from but Ravi B. is not the only chutney singer there is in Trinidad. What about the other artist who compose and sing their songs to their own rhythm?
So yeah, chutney is a not so great type of music according to you, it encourages drinking alcohol. But i just wanna ask 1 question, why is chutney music the only music you have a problem with? Why don't you bash other genres like dancehall or what ever else? I mean, the are several types of music which encourages drinking, smoking, fornicating and so on but chutney is the only one you decide to attack? At the end of the day, they are way more successful than you.

@immatrini Chutney is not the only one I have a problem with. It is however, the worst offender when it comes to Trinidadian made music. I'll be hitting all of them up in time. But one at a time. As for "success", "Success" is a pretty subjective concept. Do you mean in terms of money? If so, yes, if that's your only idea of 'success' in life =)
@immatrini Hitler, Bin Laden, Stalin, Goebbels, Amin, Pol Pot have all been more successful than any of us here then, according to this definition. So sorry, that 'success' doesn't mean a lot to me. Not meaning to compare chutney or dancehall to any of those, of course =)
@TheTriniBerry I don't get why you would want to state the obvious with yet again. Do you think you are the only one who noticed chutney stars basically copy other artists? Well no you aren't the only one and yet these chutney stars are successful, Its because that's what people apparently like in Trinidad & Tobago and those stars choose to capitalize on it. Right now it just seems like you're hating someone's success. Give Ravi B a rest and lets see you point out something that isn't obvious.
@SimplySynical it's not hating on success..why when some1 give criticism for the purpose of improvement of something it's taken as jealousy? If you look carefully, this country is in a bad state morally and not just what is in the news and there is a correlation between the general behaviour of people and the music they listen to (my opinion). The reason for this is not just to point out something that's already made clear by this person, but to emphasize on it even more.
@theplumchow That emphasis you spoke of, is what misleads people to suspect jealousy, funny how that works huh? Fact still remains most of the people who listen to these chutney songs are well aware that they are merely copies of mainly classic indian songs. What you said is true, music does affect behaviour but chutney isn't the only genre of music around is it? I would like some assurance that this person doesn't have a grudge against chutney music/artists, some diversity please?
@SimplySynical i'll ask them to do that cuz i know them well enough and rest assured, their problems with chutney is not about music itself.. but what it portrays in trinidadian culture among many things along that line.. but i'll ask them to prove it better to people.

@TheTriniBerry Um one definition for "success" is- A state of prosperity or fame.
So yeah that's what i meant by success.
