  • @penny0678 cause √-1 = i => -1 = i2 ;)

  • i took algebra1,2 in 6th

  • @perther3 i is left alone as i. i(to the zero power) is equal to 1. i(to the first power) is left as i. i (squared) is equal to 1. i(cubed) is negative i. i(to the fourth power) is equal to one. And it goes on in that same cylce of 1, i, -1, and -i.

  • the people on these videos sound like robots

  • Oh, and her writing is too perfect, it's like... a computer hand.

  • why is -i2 = 1?

  • how did you get i squared as -1? me confused

  • you had me at, the following is a selected video

  • Since everyone is bragging about when they took algebra.... I took algebra 1 in the 7th grade. :)

  • @NicktheMainer me tooo im in 9th grade, taking algebra 2 cuz i took geometry last year

  • I'm GONA take algebra 2..... In the 9th grade 

  • @ZaZ30001 Me too! Algebra 2 honors ^_^

  • @PaperDanie2 awesome we r smart XD

  • @ZaZ30001 lol im taking Algebra 2 Honors next year in 8th grade haha

  • @DYummer I'm taking advanced algebra 2 trig honors next year... in 8th grade

  • @SimplyBridgett

algebra 2 trig honors? I've heard of algebra 2 and honors trig separately but not algebra 2 trig honors lol

  • @DYummer it's a weird system... I take that class then P/s geometry honors, then math analysis honors, then AP calc (bc), then Multivariable Calculus and Advanced Topics in Mathematics Honors... o.0

  • @SimplyBridgett

wow!! congratz I know someones going to Harvard ;)

  • @SimplyBridgett nerdy ass

  • Her handwriting is incredible.

  • im practicing algebra2 for 11th grade next year so i wanna get all A's again next year and do well on the SAT's

  • She is Awesome! Another great explanation.

  • MATH IS SOOO STRESSING it sucks cuz next year in 10th grade im gonna have to take algerbra 2 i hope its this easy

  • this is so much better then by regular teacher.

  • i effing hate math

  • To those who are wondering why 3 times -i√2 is -3i√2, it is that way because you always multiply the coefficients or numbers in front. There is a one in front of the i in -i√2, it just isn't usually put there. So what she is actually multiplying in the "o" step of foil, is 3 X -1√2. Which would equal -3i√2.

Also, for the L part of foil (multiplying both of the last terms), she is multiplying 4i√2 and -i√2 together. You would do the same as what I said before and multiply the coefficients.

  • @100xines an i root term is another way to put a negative root. It is not possible to have a negative root, so they are expressed as imaginary numbers, hence the 'i'. so instead of having √-3, it would be i√3.

    Hoped this helped :)

  • I like her creepy smile at the end x)

  • I recommend this excellent Math channel: ( Mathmatchpoint ) to everyone who wants to become good at Math. He is going to teach you Math the EASY WAY, from the basic to the advanced topics. The great thing is that his videos are categorized within playlists. It is easy to know which video to watch next. This was the least I could do for him (let others know about his videos). Thanks to him, I got 97% on my Math test.

    Go to his channel: Mathmatchpoint

Math will become easy to understand

  • IF YOU COULD SLOW DOWN AND EXPLAIN IT BY BREAKING DOWN EXACTLY HOW YOU GOT THE ANSWER INSTEAD OF JUST RIGHTING IT AND GOING ON SOMEONE COULD BEGIN TO UNDERSTAND WE ALL END UP SAYING WHYYYYY

  • O gosh i am stupid..... I need 2 know dis

  • Comment removed

  • wow either robots are taking over or she really hates her job XD

  • can anyone please help me with my algebra 2!!! please!!! its a online course and if i pass it i can graduate! please i need help with my algebbra 2

  • @zidane583 the square root can be cancled out if the number is squared

  • woah this is meant for EXTREmely dum people xD

  • @sedmoagalnikful you spelled "dumb" wrong -_-

  • i=the square root of -1

the square root of -1 squared is -1

    SEE

  • yeah, i stick to algebra one until i get it then we can move on XD

  • how is i ^2 equal to -1

  • @asmieru it just is

  • So monotoned, it's like Ben Stein's soul mate

  • I never really got this far when I was in school . Because , I never understood it . Just like I never understood Algebra 1b . But when I had Algebra 1A .I understood Algebra 1A. But when I got put in Algebra 1b I was lost .And would always put my head on my desk.

  • @sharker102 so you are the result of public school?

  • PRETTY SIMPLE REALLY

  • @Therealtruth247365 WAG KA NGANG MAYABANG

  • @IzabelleLouiseOng Excuse me. What does that mean?

  • as stupid as she looks, it took her 2 min to explain a concept that took me a week to fully understand

  • @TheHotPandas LMFAO

  • But how is does i=1 she never explained where she got that from and this is one of the reasons i failed algebra and had to take summer school!!!!!

  • @Jimmythestormnorman i=1 because it is only 1 i.

  • how was the assumption made that i squared = -1?

  • wtf, is this maaan?! like so blew my mind, i dnt get this at all!! im so gunna suck on my placement test if this is on there. is this the easiest way to learn this CRAP?!

  • 2:25 LMAO!!! SHES SOO AWKWARD!!

  • Comment removed

  • Who else is doing math in the summer because they have to take the second half of algebra over/ failed algebra?

  • at 1:37 how is " i squared" -1???

  • SOO HELPFUL!!!!

  • It took me a while to find out 1 sq root is negative 1.

    Thumb up!

  • I'm sorry, but is this the maths americans learn? It's sooo easy compared with what we learn in Portugal, I mean, I can do what she did even drunk.

  • This woman is making up words. What the hell is an eye root?

  • @princez413

i is the variable. Root means square root. She's saying "i multiplied by the square root".

  • holy......

  • im doing algebra 2 this year, one more year and im out of h.s!!

  • daaang she's got extremely neat and straight handwriting o.o

  • wow, she has really nice hand writing.

  • wow,i sucked at 8th grade math, but i can do this

  • lol i root r 2

  • maybe you you know-it-alls, you think she is lame and mimic her, but to us, slightly algebraic impaired she is explaining slowly sharply and perfectly so i can finally understand this stupid subject! can any one help me? i just cant understand algebra AT ALL! like slopes and stuff.

  • this Algebra is so stupid...

how is this going to get me any kinda food if im broke ?

i cant go in to burger king and say im awesome at Algebra can i get a cheeseburger fuck no

  • damn thats easy

  • perfect way of explaining it. Nice job

  • Nicely presented. Clearly explained. Those who make fun should move on to something more advanced rather than trying to be big fish in a small pool.

  • thxs

  • i never was educated like this before

in other contries teachers have the right to rape u in class when u act up

  • what countries does this happen in?

  • asshole

  • LOL holy shit. you serious

  • @golemblastcannon its not rape if you like it

  • @golemblastcannon your joking right?

  • @golemblastcannon Holy shit! Are you serious? :O That's awful! Where the hell is that even legal?

  • @golemblastcannon I don't know if I should thumb up or down.... But I've had my share of perverted teachers, trust me!!

  • what`s so funny ?

this lady is going slow to help students out there follow the steps successfully!

  • Stop insulting her, guys, honestly . . .

She's willing to make a Youtube video to help you guys understand it, and here you are mimicking here?

Honestly, how rude can you get?

  • lmao

  • this chick is a robot

    go get a re-LUBE-ing xD

  • omq. iLearned this stuff like two weeks aqo! (: iFeel special...immah Freshiee[:

    Muahahaa

  • multiplying negative numbers is like being mauled by a vicious pitbull. I wonder Y!!!

  • @pokerdice1

    lol

  • she talks funny. the guy is cooler ;)

  • what so funny about it

  • just sounds really monotone. She is trying to pronounce every word perfectly and slowly ( to make sure everyone can understand i guess.) . just sounds funny to me

  • finally! I can multiply the conjugate of complex numbers involving radicals ^_^

  • lol this is so easy, here in brazil we learn to d this in 7th or 8th grade (i think its how americans call it)

  • @seusgordo so what? yeah sure, everyone knows America is dumber than the rest of the world, but.....it looks to me like we are the most successful yet , yeah? well, not including asia, they are amazing! i wouldn't never compare America to Asia, but your point is?

  • huh....................

  • i² = -1???? how come?

  • when you multiply the same imaginary numbers together you get a square.

  • because i² = 1 x -1 = -1

  • just so.

  • My question exactly! Why is i² = -1?

  • ha ha...look at the face she makes after

puting the box around 14+5i^2 .......(2:26)

  • haha it's funny, i noticed it too. she does something similar in another video(i've only seen 2) but i think it's cute(bony chicks are hot :P)

  • HA HA....yeah but not with that look she gave... that creepy as hell

  • lol maybe it's the part of me that likes abuse that's attracted to that, lol

  • LOLOLOL wait!! i see what you're talking about now!! LOLOLOL

  • oh nononono, i was looking at something at 0:28 LOL!

  • LOL....that shit is funny

  • When i see this, math ismuch more easy than when i do it in school. I think i'm more of a private teacher scholar. Because then i'm not so afraid to make misstakes.

  • can someone tell me why 2+2= 5....!!!!!!

  • The 3 and 2 are being multiplied, not added.

  • Wow!!! Just kidding. This is easy as hell.

    I love complex numbers!!

  • bitch is strait brainwashed to teach math over the internet. i bet they got her tied up in a dungeon in thailand.

  • Fucking LOL!. Dude you just made my day :D thank you!

  • rofl thats wat i was thinking... she looks scared lol

  • What does 'i' mean in math??

  • it stands for imaginary number

  • thank you

  • you realy are making this hard on yourself. use lattice multiplication instead.

  • lol im in 6th grade and im taking Algebra2

    wtf

    its very easy

but i still needed some help LOL

  • i understood everything up to i-squared equals -1. oh well. im just peaking at next year, im in geometry.

  • Since i = the square root of -1, i squared would remove the radical.

So you're squaring the square root of -1 making it just -1.

  • Could somebody help with a word problem: "A car is currently worth $12,000. Each year it depreciates by 11%. Write an equation that describes this situation."

  • V(t) = 12000(0.89)^t

  • A=P(1+r)^t

where A is the amount you will have in t years, P is the money you first spent, r is the rate it expires by.

  • thank you =D

    that helped alot

  • hey lame lukejames i^2 s equal to -1 and not 1 coz i = the square root of -1.if i were to be -1, which is a real number then whats the point of introducing Complex numbers & i. Just think for a minute before U post such a foolish and a retarted comment @@@

  • jeez relax the guy just made a mistake... no big deal-

  • not exactly. i= square root -1 not -1. huge difference. i^2 is always equal to -1

  • Comment removed

  • think exponentialy , -1^2=1 and the square root of 1 is -1 and i1 but for complex numbers constants are usually negative integers.

  • U R the best ,,

    U helped me soo much,,

    thanks a lot.

  • Crapp! Nevermind... hahaha!

I see, my bad! It's my mistake!

Shitt... I need to go back to Pre-School, and re-learn how to add.

  • Yo... umm... didnt she make a mistake?

I mean, look at the third line of the problem:

    6+[5i(2)^(1/2)]-4(-1)(2).

    Shouldnt that be:

    6-[5i(2)^(1/2)]-4(-1)(2)?

'Cause from what I can see, in the second line, the problem reads:

    6-[3i(2)^(1/2)]+[8i(2)^(1/2)]-[4i^2(2)],

from seeing that, the 4i^2, that is at the end, should only affect that 4i^2, and not the -3i(2)^(1/2) at the beginning.

    Get me? I think that's a mistake.

  • shes adding -3i^2 + 8i^2,

    so 6 -- 3i^2 + 8i^2 - 4i^2 (2) is 6 + 5i^2 -4i^2(2)

shes simply adding the middle terms

Because you add the -3+8, giving that 5 (keeping the i^2 after it), it doesnt involve that end -4^2(2)

  • Thank you Very much and i appretiated how sweet you are you realy help me alot! thanks alot

  • the little box she made at the end was perfect lol

  • Learn to speak english.

  • ur stupid this math is higher than that

algebra 2 is a college prep class u tard

  • Lol, algebra elitist.

  • You have very neat handwriting. Thank you.

  • i am learning this in secondary school!!!!!!!!!!!! this is unfair why must i learn this when i am in secondary school and people from other countries learn this when they are in COLLEGE
