  • So many damn green caps!

  • YES!!! They used the house music from Wind Waker! You can tell at 1:57.

  • I hate people who are fans are things that I'm a fan of. I really do. They make us all look like morons.

  • the first reminds me of hell dance/firebird suite

  • guards: we must leave the moon will fall D: carpenter: naw lets stay, cause dying is fun when you get to shoot off fire works just before :D

  • it saddens me how we didn't get these on the 25th anniversary CD... T_T

  • Fuck, the audience won't shut up!!! :/

  • Do whe get tracks like this one also on a CD? OOT's Hyrule Field is awesome...i wonder if they recorded it without a audience.

  • Bother.....the audience had so much more respect when I went to the Star Wars in Concert a few years ago :/ way to ruin the music for me stupid load people and on a side not, I am very disappointed that there is absoulutly no love for Majora's Mask at this concert

  • @z3link It looks like you don't have very much love for Majora's Mask either seeing as you didn't recognize that 2:27 is the Mayor's Residence

  • Yes we know Zelda music is awesome! But you're supposed to wait until the entire piece is done to applaud!

  • Don't people realize it's rude to clap during a performance?

  • Twilight Princess Link is the one I can identify myself with the most

  • WHY DIDN'T THIS MAKE IT TO THE CD?!

  • I appreciate that they've included some songs from the original Legend of Zelda (referring to the dungeon music by the way - to those of you who only play the 3-D LoZ's). It brings me joy to hear a classic in the form of a live, orchestrated performance.

    :D

  • -sigh- . . . Americans

  • id rather go with OoT's adult link, but TP's link was pretty cool.

  • This audience would have pissed me off.

  • who is the best link

for me its twilight princess link

  • For anybody saying that the people attending this concert aren't wrong for cheering during the performance because they "didn't know it was bad manners" or maybe they like to "fucking cheer along with everyone else", I would just like to say that the proper etiquette at any traditional type of live performance is to cheer at the end of a song or after a solo. I guarantee any professional performer would agree. There is no excuse for ignorance, especially when it creates a problem for others.

  • @goalkeepman11 well said fellow performer *sips tea*

  • Oomg who knew Zelda fans were so uptight about showing love. Maybe I was wrong about my brethren. Also I should know by now you can't change someones opinion through Youtube.. Yet here I am. You can hear the music just fine even when the audience cheers.. you want a crowdless experience? Wait for the orchestra CD that comes with your game and you can listen to it ALONE in your room.. Goddamn.. that's all I have to say on that topic.

  • @Eljonno Only problem with that is they didn't include all the music from the orchestra. Specifically, NONE of the music in this vid is included on the orchestra CD.

  • The first tune I heard on Super Mario Bros 3.

  • EVERYONE SHUT UP AND ENJOY WHAT YOU CAN OF THE MUSIC.

STOP GIVING A FUCK ABOUT OTHER'S OPINIONS.

  • Though I agree completely that the audience clapping within the songs was annoying, and I was one of the few that remained silent until the end of the song, it was pretty damn hard to contain your excitement while there. It was such a magical experience, I wanted to praise, scream and cheer for hours. I bet if you guys were there, you would understand more, so please, just listen to the awesome music?

  • @DooplissShinigami I believe that we are TRYING to listen to it...that's kind of the POINT...

  • 3:07 so annoying trying to slip past those damn guards in OoT

  • Ohh how this brings back memories!!

  • freakin nostalgia...xP my favs were 1st zelda songs and a link to the past songs

  • I'm sure some of the people were there to hear zelda music, not people screaming every few minutes.

  • God forbid people there give praise and enjoy the music dynamically.

People will cheer for things they enjoy as they happen, and the performers are professionals. Deal with it.

  • Shut the fuck up yall, we don't live in the Classical era anymore. We live in the modern age where we CHEER and CLAP and OPENLY SHOW EMOTIONS for music we know and LOVE. If you were there you would cheer as well.

  • @Eljonno If you want to show how much you love something, why don't you listen to it, and save your applause for the end? I was there, and I certainly didn't scream like a redneck every time a song I liked played.

  • @CinnabonChan

People like you think they're better than anyone else. You're being "polite" in your own mind so you think everyone else must be an idiot for openly enjoying music. You need to take into account that most of the audience has probably never been to an orchestra before. They're Zelda fans who probably go to rock concerts and shit like that, where you cheer as exciting things happen. Sorry if not everyone can be as posh as you.

  • @Eljonno So just because you cheer at rock concerts means you can cheer at an orchestra? It doesn't take prior experience to know you save your applause until the end. It distracts the performers, not to mention the audience trying to listen to the music.

Hopefully Nintendo releases the full orchestra on CD without any noise.

  • @Eljonno The modern era means that we throw away respect for the performers and those around us who want to hear the whole piece without interruption?

I don't know what modern era you think you are living in, but it sounds completely awful to me.

  • @TreJowy

I live in a world where when I go to music shows I fucking cheer along with everyone else. If that sounds so awful to you then go back to the rock you're living under. Music is meant to evoke reaction and if this music is making this crowd react in such a way, that should be symbolic of how much this series has really touched all of us. As a musician attending jazz school I can tell you honestly that MOST if not ALL musicians love getting crowd reaction.

  • @Eljonno Then you obviously do not live in a world that involves regular trips to the symphony...which is fine, but there is a time and a place for that kind of expression...and it is at the end of a piece. This is not a debatable opinion, but an accepted form of courtesy that has been in place since long before either of us were born.

There's nothing wrong with exhibiting a bit of self-control. You make yourself all the better a person for it.

  • 2:28 So beautiful. I love Majora's Mask.

  • I don't see the problem..did you expect the audience to be a bunch of mindless, docile and braindead husks? It's zelda music..LIVE ORCHESTRATED ZELDA MUSIC, it's never been done in concert before like this...I would flip shit too if I were there. They don't even drown out the songs that badly anyway..

  • @jamieboy30 the problem is that cheering in the middle of a song is really annoying for the performers, since they really have to concentrate. and i know what i´m talking about since i play in an orchestra. it´s not like a rock concert where the audience is supposed to be loud and the artists really lead the crowd. if you listen to a symphony like this, you´re supposed to soak the music in. i just feel sorry for the orchestra because they have to deal with these disturbances.

  • @Didaktylos7 That's fair enough, but how many people who attended this do you think knew that? What I'm trying to say is that people should expect there to be applauding like this, because the audience is full of gamers as opposed to concert-goers. Do they know the 'rules' of applauding? I'm willing to bet that most of the people in this audience have never been to a symphonic concert before, and therefore don't know these kind of things. It is a shame but as I said, it should've been expected.

  • @jamieboy30 i guess i assumed that was general knowlege. ah, well, i guess my expectations towards people are just too high...

  • @Didaktylos7 Most definitely not :(

  • @jamieboy30 I would say it's pretty braindead to scream your way through a song you like.

  • @CinnabonChan Well that's swell that you have your own opinion, thank you kindly for informing me :) however I will once again reiterate - did you truly, deeply and honestly expect anything else from a bunch- no wait, an entire crowd, full of hardcore zelda fans? Because I certainly did not.

  • @jamieboy30 I'm a hardcore Zelda fan. Which is why I did my best to shut up and let the musicians do their thing because I actually wanted to hear them play my favourite songs. There were a few people like this in London, but they weren't anywhere near as bad or as numerous.

  • @jamieboy30 I have to admit I expected better, because the crowd in London did have a few people who really needed to shut up and stop interrupting the performance, they were nowhere near as bad as this. I was pretty glad I didn't go to the American one, if so many American fans genuinely did not know when to shut up. I thought most people grew out of the "scream your lungs out when a song you like comes on" when they were toddlers. Being a hardcore fan is no excuse for bad manners.

  • @CinnabonChan "Being a hardcore fan is no excuse for bad manners." This is what I'm trying to get at, how did they know it was 'bad manners'? have they ever been to a symphonic performance before? Do they know the correct conduct? Would they even care? I'm guessing the answer to all of those questions is a straight out no.

  • @jamieboy30 But isn't it just common sense? If you scream during a song, you can't hear it. Other people can't hear it. Why would you pay 100 dollars to hear yourself scream?

  • Who could tell me the name of these songs?

    1:20

    2:31

  • @SeriesDeZelda I don't know exactly what they're called, but the one at 1:20 is from A Link to The Past, it plays in the sanctuary dungeon at the beginning of the game. 2:31 is from Majora's Mask, it's the song that plays when you go into Clock Town's Mayor's office during the day and he is meeting with the townspeople.

  • lol

  • Wow, nothing from Zelda 2? The OST was one of the ones that stood out to me the most.

  • PEOPLE WHERE GETTING EXCITED OVER MUSIC THEY LOVE IN A CONCERT THEY PAID FOR WHY MUST THEY CHEER SO LOUDLY DON'T THEY REALIZE I DIDN'T BUY A TICKET AND THEREFORE I MUST LISTEN TO IT ON YOUTUBE GEEZ HOW RUDE.

people bought it with their money, they had the right to make all the fucking noise they want. If I was playing I wouldn't mind people cheering on my music.

  • @minipiwi No you don't get it. I think you're somewhat right, but the point people are making is it show a lack of class, intelligence and knowledge about how to behave. Has nothing to do with them having the 'right'.

  • @bierbuik I agree with you entirely. It's not a rock concert, it's a symphonic concert. And as such, there's different rules and settings that people should abide by. It is considered rude in this setting to whoop and holler in the middle of a performance as it is distracting to the members of the orchestra. Now, if the audience was ENCOURAGED to act like that during the performance, that is a different story entirely.

  • @bierbuik I think you're somewhat right too. In a proper Orchestra, you show class and respect. But this is about knowing your audience. It's a video game Orchestra, where fans go to listen to music from a video game. that audience is more attuned to seeing concerts, not an orchestra.

Also, in a proper Orchestra aren't noisy people removed? These people are not, and the conductor isn't telling them to be quiet. That's why i say it's a concert, and you cheer at concerts.

  • @thatguy1017 Much more of a valid point of course.

  • what a fucking annoying audience

  • What´s up with these morons. The first time I went to a symphony concert (quartet) I only cheered/applauded at the end of the piece. Just enjoy the music silently or hum it in your brain, if you have one of course.

  • lets look on the bright side ... EVERY copy of skyward sword will come with a copy of the orchestra :D

  • @Arcademan09 only the special editions do here :(

  • @gavolu WUT? thats not cool! well, getting the special edition actually saves you more money since the normal edition costs 50 US dollars, the SP edition cost 70 US dollars, which comes with the remote needed to play.

  • @Arcademan09 good point :P

  • The audience needs to shut the fuck up. Damn american audiences. It was dead silent through out every piece of the London concert. At least we showed some dignity.

  • @jobiwan101 Wrong. I listened to the London show and there were plenty of times the London audience clapped and cheered throughout songs, albeit not as much as here of course, but it was definitely not dead silent

  • fucking audience

  • the audience is so annoying omg...

the audience is the virus...and the music is the cure!

  • Oh my god. If I was with this audience I would be furious to no end. THIS IS PROFESSIONAL. Not some two-cent side show. SHUT UP.

  • ...They should try to contain all their excitement for the end.

  • i grew up with the OOT/MM Link. Thumbs up if you also grew up with the OOT/MM Link.

  • @Ranma1224 thats the best one ever

  • @Ranma1224 i was born with oot/MM link

  • @Ranma1224 90's. the best decade!

  • milk bar!!!!!

  • During this one I could barely hear the beginning of the songs. God how much I want to have one of theme right in front to me to yell to...

  • I have to say I love that Four Swords Adventure music <3

  • It's actually repugnant how ignorant most of the audience members are.

  • @thelizzyfrom461 Yeah they seems to only know oot's music...

  • link to the past all the way !!!

  • Whoever is the first to dislike this is a fag. =V

  • @Courage8008 I think so, but that's for those who pre-ordered the game I think. :o

  • @ShadWolf1 from what i have heard it comes with all the first print games so you can get it if you haven't reserved it but I wouldn't take that risk

  • Hey people, if you love the freaking music so much, how about waiting until it's finished, so you can actually fucking hear it?

"Woo! Yeah! CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP laugh" I know there were less idiots like this in London.

  • @CinnabonChan

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there were plenty of "idiots like this" in London...

  • @DooplissShinigami They were nowhere near as bad as this in London. At least you could hear the songs.

  • I swear I want to slit the wrists of everyone who claps in the freaking middle of such a momentous event. Who do they think they are?!!

  • I love how I can't hear any of each section's opening.

  • It's not a rock concert, people has to know how to behave

  • 1). The recorder motif from The Legend of Zelda - 0:01

2). "Underworld BGM" from The Legend of Zelda - 0:05

3). "Death Mountain BGM" from The Legend of Zelda - 0:25

4). "Zelda is Rescued Fanfare" from The Legend of Zelda - 0:51

5). "Forest" from The A Link to the Past - 0:56

    6). "Item Get Fanfare" - 1:16

7). "Sanctuary Dungeon" from A Link to the Past - 1:21

8). "Inside a House" from Ocarina of Time - 1:47

    12). "Milk Bar" from Majora's Mask - 3:16

13). "Boss Clear Fanfare" from A Link to the Past - 3:32

  • @TwilightFantasy0806 They may come out with an Official CD Soundtrack release, they usually do that after some time I think, like with all previous Orchestra's they've done.

  • @ShadWolf1 Isn't Skyward Sword coming out with a cd or something that should have these tracks?

  • Does anybody know of a link or source where I could get the songs from the concert? I love this but is there one without so much clapping? Or is Nintendo making a disc of the concerts? Thanks :)

  • Man, I get chills when the dungeon theme from "A Link to the Past" plays. That was a perfect recreation of that piece. Just goes to show how much of an effect an orchestra can have on already great music.

  • Alright people, i understand which songs are which now. Thank you, no more comments to me please.

  • In london we were well behaved. It might of been that they didn't have a host that introduced the songs before hand?

  • I've seen strip club audiences that were more respectful of the performers on stage

  • @RockmanWIFI milk bar from majoras mask

  • @MrTMP117 :D yeah! you got it right the milk bar from majoras mask woo. lol srry i was trying to answer that persons question too

  • All the people complaining about the cheering probably were not at the concert. Had they been there they would have been cheering right along with the rest of us :D

  • @DarthMatt28 Nope.avi! I would wanna HEAR EVERY NOTE :P

Your clapping is clearly not a note meant for the song :P

  • @MAZZ0Murder Well then I sincerely apologize for enjoying myself at the show :P

  • @DarthMatt28 YES BE SORRY. NOTHING ON EARTH IS FOR ENJOYMENT!

    NOTHING!!!!

  • At the London one yesterday if felt like there was less clapping during the music - hopefully that's the one they'll use for the CD.

  • @kev1130 i hope the dont use live versions for the cd at all

  • What plays from 3:05 to 3:16?

  • rude idiots clapping and yelling in the middle of a song. that makes me furious.

  • 1:23 - 1:47 is the best part

  • Comment removed

  • There wasn't this much annoying crowd nonsense at the London show, still quite a bit though :P I guess if people love the music and the games so much, you can expect them to get a bit excited. Zelda IS a videogame after all.

  • I'm glad Skyward Sword won't have THE AUDIENCE.

IT WON'T RIGHT!? IT BETTER NOT.

  • Ugh, the audience truly acted like idiots.

  • for fuck sake half of this video is clapping and wooing >:(

  • @RedYoshiReturns @Bamboozle4 while I completely understand your points, please realize that we were having a ton of fun and they were just showing their joy and appreciation! (plus they were showing footage of the games on the screen) And @xtremethomas please remember that you will get the CD of these songs when you preorder The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword bundle!

    Enjoy the music!

  • @SilverKeaton That's no excuse. It's disrespectful to the orchestra and to those who wish to listen. Plus, if your going to show appreciation, do so AFTER THEY'RE DONE WITH THE SONG.

  • @Aenglaan I understand what you mean and I assure you I personally waited to clap, but the conductor herself had the biggest smile on her face after the performance and I quote, said "Thank you guys for being THE BEST audience we've ever had!". There's no need to get upset over this music being 'ruined' by the audience, besides, the CD will be released with Skyward Sword. You had to be there to enjoy this like everyone else did (and I know not everyone could go, I truly wish everyone could).

  • @Aenglaan you didn't see the audience, nor the crowd. And the orchestra had a few mishaps on their own (showing a lack of practice)... i think everyone had a blast and it was more of a loose atmosphere. The cd will come out with little crowd noise (due to their being only a stereo pair of mics facing the audience)

  • @farfromu626 "you didn't see the audience, nor the crowd."

What difference does that make? I'm pretty sure most people here came to LISTEN to the music *not* to watch people play instruments.

"And the orchestra had a few mishaps on their own (showing a lack of practice)..."

And I doubt cheering for every song the crowd recognized made the situation better. I've personally been dreaming of hearing most of these songs with an orchestra, yet I feel like I've been the victim of a scam.

  • @Aenglaan Look, don't get me wrong.. i get what you guys are saying... but a) I heard everything. If you were there, not sure where you were seated where you had a problem hearing, b) if you're basing this on a youtube video... maybe you should wait for the dvd and not make assumptions based on a camera phone where people are screaming right into the phone... I get the idea of wanting to see this because I have been a fan of zelda since the inception of A Link To The Past, but i also see where

  • @Aenglaan CONTINUED: where video game fans are coming from too... they are ecstatic that they finally get to hear this amazing thing, and they aren't cultured the way some of these conductors and score writers may be... so shoot them. It was an open to the public event, and that's how it was treated. I will personally remember and reflect on that evening for the rest of my life, but not in a yuppy "poor me way." Cut the kids some slack.. most of those that bought tix were under 25

  • @farfromu626 **CONTINUED**

Yeah, I get you had fun at this kind of thing, I would too. If there were only a few noises every so often, I wouldn't have complained so much. However, some songs like the Lost Woods Theme from A Link to the Past I couldn't even hear. God, the fact that I must explain why this sort of thing is rude is scary.

  • @Aenglaan All i am saying is because you are watching on cell phones where the mic is facing the audience and not the actual show, you aren't getting a true perspective.

  • @SilverKeaton You can have all the fun at an orchestra you want without being rude.

  • @RedYoshiReturns See, to me, rude would have been people talking during the concert and not appreciating the music, or clapping longer than necessary. /That/ is rude. It's obvious people here would clap and then quickly hush and keep listening~

  • @SilverKeaton lol, you've never been to a classical/symphonic music concert, have you?

You clap after the song, but you sure as hell don't shout, yell, cheer, laugh or scream. That's disrespectful, rude, and just.... not classy. At all.

And you don't cosplay either... from the photos I've seen, people were cosplaying. What the fuck.

I never assumed that the Zelda community was full of tastless people with little class, but after watching this...

  • @DAYSandMONTHS You're really judging an entire community because fans were expressing themselves? Really? And again, I was stating my opinion. What did you want people to do? Choke on their laughter? They were showing videos from the game, we were all living our childhood and/or other fond memories from our favorite series. And you do realize they invited one of the most popular Link cosplayers to attend as well? This wasn't your typical symphony dude. You didn't 'watch' anything.

  • @DAYSandMONTHS Sorry if I'm coming off as a jerk, it's just that I feel like you guys that are complaining are being really ungrateful that those of us who were there and even care if you get to hear it. :\

  • wtf is wrong with the audience?!?!? It doesn't take much common sense to know that at a orchestra show like this (or really at any show involving music) you don't clap or cheer until the end! You don't cheer in the middle of a scene in a play, do you? Great music, ruined by the inconsideration of the audience...... I hope OP wasn't one of the people who ruined the show....

  • Nintendo needs to release a CD with these arrangements! I'm sick of hearing the crowd going CRAZYYYY!!!

  • These people need to stop cheering it's super annoying!!

  • I am so sick of people cheering, not just because I want to listen to the music but when you go to a classical concert or to the theatre you do not shout and scream, you sit there and enjoy it and clap when it finishes when the conductor turns to take a bow. Its etiquette ugh

  • Ugh, this is an orchestra, not pop star shit. The audience should be classy, not go "woo!!" every time a song they like comes up. Otherwise, great music.

  • @RedYoshiReturns this was the 25th anniversary of zelda. The audience were fans of the game first and music second. Opera fans were left at the door while people dressed up into characters, parents brought their kids to the show and last of all there was the ability to play skyward sword in the lobby... this wasn't a show for operatic douche-bagery, (not that i don't love a good theater performance) but this was for people to reminisce and enjoy everything that zelda has provided for 25+ years

  • @farfromu626 Your point? Enjoying yourself =/= Being rude.

  • What's with the clapping in the middle of a song? That's kinda rude

  • @Bamboozle4 Gameplay footage on the screen. People see a popular game, they clap.

  • @Bamboozle4 you had to be there to really understand, they had a screen that was playing our favorite zelda moments, so we were excited

  • Comment removed

  • @RockmanWIFI It's from ocarina of time. It plays when you play the diving game in zora's domain.

  • Thank you! I can't tell you how much I just want to relive this night all over again, and these videos help until I can get the CD. :')

  • @SilverKeaton Hopefully you weren't one of the idiots who helped ruin it for everyone else by being noisy. >:[

  • @flanoirbunny When I was in line, hell yes, but I shut my face during the performance. :I I may have been sniffling a bit but that was it!
