Hey guys, we really have to start supporting these movies. As seen by Red Tails, studios think there is no demand to see films that feature black actors prominently even if it tells a great story. Sorry if I sound like I'm preaching, but this needs to be said. Doesn't anyone else think it's weird that there was a huge surgence of black films in the 90s, but all of a sudden we only get like 1-2 releases a year, usually thanks to Tyler Perry? We can make a difference. Copy/Paste to other vids.

I feel that blacks have always been on the cutting edge of technology. We use Facebook, Twitter, Myspace Media Takeout, and podcasts. Oh and Youtube. We have the tools, we just need the support.

I'm thinking that as a result of the work Tyler Perry's done over the years, we're about to see a nice surgence of quality black films this year. We HAVE to support these films and show that we want to see our people on the screen. If not, expect to go back to 1 maybe 2 films a year.

As you mentioned, they think the only types of shows black people want to see are comedies so they won't even take the chance to make a film that goes against that. It's just not true. There's a reason that for a number of years the most watched television show in black households was CSI. We like diversity too.
