this whole "follow your hear thing"...: I thinky it makes sense for someone to say who is in such a position. But to be there it takes more than just to follow your heart. You also have to be at the right place with the right bunch of people doing the right thing, being heard by the "right" people... all that needs a lot of luck, too. As much as I believe that it always is the better choice to do what you really want, that in itself can be challenging to an unbearable degree.

@gabriehella I've asked myself this question many times. The answer I keep arriving to is that artists like Incubus who express their art with heart and soul will be appreciated by those who listen. The youth of today you refer to are like so many generations before us, fixated on the brightest star because they are told it's cool. It's like a shiny toy, it's fun for a while, but eventually it loses it's value and dies. Real artists are timeless, their legacy lives on through us the fans.

The band is infinitely interesting, but Brandon has got to be the most awe inspiring, enthralling men to ever grace the world of entertainment! He makes you listen and crave more of his brilliant notions all the while not being pretentious or egocentric. It's like he's a Philosophy teacher and every single phrase, word, letter what have you is just profound. I know it's important to find your true self, but I wouldn't mind idolizing Brandon Boyd because he's a down to earth, amazing guy. CHEERS!
