  • hey sir, i have 2 cs 4080 and one cs 3000, what type of power distribution do i need to power these amps....please help me thnks

  • Next time lets put a mic on your subject.

  • The speaker cable is 4 core with 4mm wires. For the subs we run one pair of wires to each basket. The the top cabs we Bi amp with the CS4080 for mids & CS2000 for the highs. 2 wires again from the 4080 & 2 from the 2000 into a breakout panel....then the 4 core into the Bi amp in. The orange electrical gadget is a 415v 32amp 3 phase distribution box with 6 x 240v outlets

  • hey man i love your gear,,,im jus now getting into the sound business....but i have the sp4 speakers....and im odering some peavey 4080 power amps..what type of hookup is that for the power amps...with the orange thick cables and the eletrical device

  • No, never bridged...these amps are powerful enough to use output on both channels.....depending on the setup on the day, I will run in either stereo or mono. either at 4ohms or 8 hms load. We do any type of show...from heavy metal, classic rock concerts, festivals, community events , church events, weddings & school concerts

  • Nice system! Do you normally run your amps in bridge mode? What kind of shows do you usually do?

  • Thank you for your common sense comment....this is not the finest audio gear on Earth....but it is damn good...!!!

  • Peavey speakers, Shure mics, whats not to like? This is great equipment that is used with success the world over. People who are flaming this no not of which they speak.

  • Glad you found the video helpful....the sort of video guide I would have liked watching before starting out in the live sound business.

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE POST! VERY HELPFUL. CHEERS!

  • I really did not think this was going to be so heated wish I would of used different words so I apologize. But Its a really good thing when you think about it. when you have people talking about pro audio gear like this it really makes the manufacturers work hard on making there gear better.

  • @mikepmh5000 ....nothing wrong with a bit of CONSTRUCTIVE critisism. Comparing kling freitag to Peavey's top of the line speakers is like comparing a Pontiac GTO to a Rolls Royce.....the Rolls may be considered better quality....but it costs 10 times as much... But the GTO goes faster & sounds better.....

  • @thenosboss in my opinion and other sound engineers. theres a big difference but thats cool man at lest were not talking about behringer haha.

  • for the guy who asked what our system is. we its a un fair to compare its like comparing home HIfi and pro audio. its not the same suff. here is a link of the company we use for our 50 000 watt PA system. The videos there are up on this channel are my sons he is mike he has peavey speakers for his band and his lil audio company but he is 16 the speakers Iv repaired 3 times. they work well for what he does. lil shows in the back. kling-freitag is the speakers we use

  • @mikepmh5000 Well friend, we have seen pictures of the system in this video you have so much disdain for, how about videos of your HiFi system? I doubt seriously you own anything but a mouth. Do not know who kling freitag is but I doubt you own any and 50,000 watts worth. Really?

  • ( other companies do this) they speakers still may blow but the crossover would be saved. And they way they make there speakers in all there line of speakers. if you drop the speaker of even only 2 feet the magnet will shift. and most speaker companies now know that magnet shifting happens so they built they speakers differently. peavey is assembled in usa made in china parts. Your talking to a guy who does audio repair on line array speakers and amps ec..

  • I was stupid to say what iv said In all honesty I like all PA gear some are made better there others. If I had beef with peavey is the bare minimum parts. its easy to make a passive crossover really cheaply. lets talk about the capacitors in a peavey speaker crossover they all need more head room they put lets say a 30v capacitor on there crossover yea the speaker says it can take x amount of power but if they use a 35v cap

  • So mikeypms5000...what system do you own and use every weekend to promote music in your community? I am truly interested in the system you own and operate. Cheers!

  • lol peavey are toy speakers

  • @mikepmh5000 ...Yes....very good toys,,woofers with 6400 watts peak & mid/high cabs at 3200W with SPL up to 140db....just about the best'toy' speakers on the market....

  • @thenosboss

hahaha thats good that the speaker specks sheets tell you that.

yep all the best bands in the world only use peavey line arrays I cant think of any right now....

  • @mikepmh5000 So Mike.....you are clearly a very well educated guy with vast experience in the live sound reinforcement industry...!!!... what brand & model loudspeakers should I replace my Peavey equipment with...???

  • @mikepmh5000 Got a question for you, What have you got against Peavey equipment? In The USA it is used for all types of Acts from major national acts to clubs. I have never had ANY failures with my Peavey gear and I am proud of every bit of my Peavey gear. I have owned many brands of gear including JBL & EAW and It sounds just as good as any of that high priced big name gear. You need to get a life.

  • Comment removed

  • @mikepmh5000 Well I saw the comment to me you have removed apparently. I have used Peavey at the West Texas State Fair in Abilene, Texas and my headliner back a few years ago was Doug Supernaw and there was at least 15,000 people there at his show I used an all Peavey Rig and my coverage was as good as anything I have ever heard. I stand by Peavey. I have searched for your K & F speakers, yes they are nice but for the price point they sell for I will pass.

  • @85bmw528eguy

ok and what peavey line did you use? was it there array?

  • @mikepmh5000 It was not their array, it was not available back then, no one except maybe Clair Bros. or Showco had a flown array system that far back, it was stacked on scaffolding like we used to do. I have heard the Peavey Versarray system and it sounds better than JBL or EV's flown systems

  • @85bmw528eguy

ya I mean peavey was the shit back in the day it was good. but I respectfully disagree about peaveys line array and peavey now. It would be really hard for my ears to put a peavey line array next to any other array like Meyer

or jbl or EV. used the Versarray 2 times out side I said never again.

  • @mikepmh5000 Well you go and take your K & F speakers and enjoy the money you spent for them. In my opinion EV & JBL high's are too harsh, I cannot comment on Meyer because I have not heard them. Peavey Versarray is a great product and value for the price they sell for. With the exception of the entry level Peaveys and JBL's and EV's entry level lines they all are good products but the highs on JBL's & EV's are too harsh. I am not going to sell you on Peavey. Your opinion is yours but not mine.
