  • You can hear the creak of bitter protest from the desk as the lardass Michael Moore, unable to lower his grotesquely bloated carcass without assistance, leans on it to get to his knees.

  • This is the moment I lost all respect for Bill Maher and Michael Moore, who once so proudly supported Ralph Nader for President. These two turncoats dropped to their knees and begged him to PLEASE sell out this country to the corporate-controlled Democratic party, all under the guise of stopping the corporate-controlled Republican party. Weasels! ....and remember, if you'd had the backbone to vote for Nader 4, 8, 12 years ago, this country would not be run by corporations today.

  • Democrats, republicans... There's no real democracy in the America. The corporations wouldn't allow it to happen. I know it, you know it, Ralph is still trying!

I used to belive that Michael Moore was smart, but looking at this... What a pathetic moment in the life of this brilliant fat documentarist...

So Al Gore loses because of Nader? Give me a break fanboys!

Why did you voted for Gore at first? You belived in the CHANGE bs? Look at the big CHANGE offered by the Democrats now, 2011...

  • Ralph Nader is a great man, she hit the nail on the head.

  • I'm with Jesse Ventura. There should be a "none of the above" option.

How awesome would it be if "none of the above" won? That would send a huge message!

  • Ever since Ross Perot got 20% of the vote...Reps &Dems secretly got together and conspired to keep a 3rd party from ever being on the ballot. ...Damn cheaters !!!

  • Sometimes being a team player means not running. Just because you have the freedom to run in a democratic system doesn't mean you should, democracy is flawed, and more choices doesn't make it any better.

  • Mike Moore, the guy is a rich business man. No more, no less. He's a hypocrite. Bill Maher, I don't think he's too bright. I'm convinced half the stuff he says or believes in he makes up in his head and then believes it. He's not a political expert. A comedian. He's entitled to his opinions though. Nader is definitely the brightest guy there.

  • Nader isn't my choice candidate. I lean more Libertarian. But he should run if he wants to run. In fact, I encourage all "third" party and independent candidates to do the same. No one should be swayed from running just so another Democrat or Republican can get elected. There needs to be more choices. The "two" party system hasn't really helped us much. Especially anyone who is career politician.

  • Obama is a sellout. Kerry sucked. If Dean was the nominee in 04 we woulda had a chance. The democratic party has sold out. We need more pressure

  • Well, Bush won anyway. Caused a recession, continued 2 pointless wars, and now... Obama's like a tired Janitor trying to empty a landfill with a dustpan. Maybe Ralph should have run! /:)

  • Moore and Maher are delusional. Fuck them both.

  • I was actually kind of proud of our ex-first-woman-prime minister for a little while there for speaking with such passion and conviction. But... then she had to ruin in by blabbering on for far too long. Now my ears just hurt.

  • Michael Moore is such a douche. Who the hell gets on their knees and begs someone not participate in 'democracy' even if it's a fake democracy? Saying Nader caused Bush to win in 2004 is ridiculous and stupid. It has been shown that people who don't see any viable candidates will stay home instead of voting for a lesser candidate.

  • @Fmaack Exactly! I proudly admit I did not vote in the '08 election. Didn't want Obama. Didn't want McCain. Didn't want Bob Barr and I'm a Libertarian. I said screw it. I say voting for nobody counts as a vote just as much as voting for somebody. Why waste a vote on someone you don't want? So, I casted my vote for Mr. Nobody because to me that was the best option. So, get the vote out if you actually like a candidate.

  • @LedWilde There should be a "NONE OF THE ABOVE" option.

  • you shoulda been begging Bush not to run. M Moore is a douche. He flipped flopped and then got the Democratic smack down when he put out Sick-O. HA HA you douches are getting the democratic hate now...Gun control means I shoot liberals and rightwing fags and not innocents...

  • @MrWhiteskull he also begged Krispy Kreme to stay open till midnight

  • Fuck this racist sore loser! Hang it up pal! You will never be President of ANYTHING!

  • Free energy has been here for a while ,But Elite controllers don't want ppl to be free from the costs of energy,Find the real deal, a free energy device at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Be part of the revolution!

  • THIS is the holy trinity. despite the fact that i disagree with 2/3 of them, they are still awesome.

  • Ralph got done dirty, once again. Shame on Maher, shame on Moore

  • ralph is crazy

  • I love how Ralph Nader is bitching about taxes...and yet he wants to use our money for all sorts of crazy shit!

Michael Moore is a douche, and Bill Maher should really stop referring to himself as a Libertarian when he's clearly a jackass...

  • The simple fact is is that people who vote for 3rd parties do not generally vote for the lesser of TWO EVILS, ie the Democrats & the Republicons. The FACT That it is even so hard for a 3rd party member to get on debates or any significant coverage is because the TWO Party Fascists have an Iron-Clad contract, together to keep 3rd parties from having a Chance. John Kerry LOST Because he Sucked! Bush sucked too, so imagine what that says about Kerry.

Vote 3rd OR Don't Vote, except for RON PAUL!

  • they didn't want to distract and deter the left vote by supporting Nader. Kerry was a fucking idiot though. so I understand Moore and Maher's point, I just think it was all in vain. Fuck John Kerry and fuck Bush. I would've voted for Nader.

  • Nader was right!

  • That was fucked up. I love all three of these men and there all alike in the scene that they wants whats best for the people and not the corporations. Like they should have endorsed Nadar instead of Kerry because he was a pussy

  • I just cant even come up with a sentence, not even a word to describe the LACK of common comprehension those two have towards Ralph.

  • I like Ralph but he really screwed the pooch on this one!

  • the dumbest thing about this video is that with the electoral college, Nader never made an impact anyway. Most of the voters who voted for Nader in 2000 as well as 2004 are mainly concentrated in states that Bush wouldn't have won anyway. It's shocking to see how little about the basic foundations of our country Maher & Moore seem to comprehend.

  • @InsubordinateNut The difference between Bush and Gore's total votes in Florida was 537 votes. Ralph Nader had 97,421 votes in Florida. Polling of Nader voters indicates 25% would have supported Bush had Nader not run, 38% would've supported Gore had Nader not run, and the rest would not have voted at all. That's 12k votes for Gore, and Florida's electoral votes.. Still, this points more towards Gore not doing enough to win votes. I, however, still cringed to learn Nader was going to run again.

  • @Navrok Gore has to earn the votes that went to Nader. If some people decide he's better, so what? Polls don't mean shit. If being VP wasn't enough to get him to the White House, nothing would've. He ran a shitty campaign.

  • After watching this, I get the feeling Maher and Moore are Democratic Party fake liberal corporate scam. RAPLH NADAR WAS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR KERRY LOST. JOHN KERRY WAS AN IDIOT ANYWAY, WHY VOTE FOR THE LESS EVIL? AN EVIL IS AN EVIL. FUCK DEMOCRAPS AND REBUBLICUNTS. FUNNT THING IS THAT RALPH NADAR SERVES MAHER AND MOORE'S PURPOSE MORE THAN ANY DEMOCRATE. THEY MUST BE FAKE SOB'S COPORATE PUPPETS.

  • @stang325

"Keep in mind that these homosexuals would be persecuted in 70% of the worlds countries for doing what they are doing in this case."

I'm all for nuking Saudi Arabia and Iran, even if we have to give up all oil.

Will force us all to go solar and wind power. Are you? I doubt it.

  • @stang

That statement itself is NOT gospel, which menas, *I* don't have to believe it.

I can support anyone and any organization I want, if I believe they fight for my freedom of speech or someone else's I care about.

Just like everyone has different opinions on whether humans are causing global warming (in spite of it having been proven), or who caused 911 (I don't get into that), people have the right to different opinions about who is defending their freedom of speech.

  • @stang

" And don't forget those mindless troops protect you right do slander them and this great country."

So these troops will blow up the prison and kill any cops who try to arrest her and take away her freedom?

No. So, unless they do: they nor you can claim they are "fighting for her freedom".

    DON'T YOU FORGET THIS!

  • Liberals could easily win elections. So could Socialists. So could Greens. So could Communists. So could Constitutionalists.

All it takes is FORCE, FORCE, FORCE!

You do what all the rightwing conservatives muslims in other countries do.

Stomping your feet and shouting louder than they other guy! There is absolutely NO SKILL in politics! It is the RESPONSIBILITY and CAUSE of VOTERS to push a button for the best candidate. THEY are the ones who CAUSE someone to be elected or not.

  • MM and Bill Maher are mentally inferior. They do not have the mental capacity to logically determine cause and effect. Therefore, there is no difference to them between being on tv in an interview versus

a hero like John Hinckley blowing their brains out with a gun or a soldier like Jeffrey Dahmer who performed his legal military duty of attacking and eating the enemy.

THAT is the logical consequence of MM's and BM's mental inferiority and stupidity.

  • This incident absolutely proves why all the fucking EXPERIENCE of going out in the world and networking with people and seeing their problems and documenting them - as Michael Moore has done - is WORTHLESS SHIT, because ALL of it is NOTHING compared to 2 seconds of superior logic - the time to pushing a fucking button in the voting booth for Ralph Nader, who would have made the best president ever.

  • Bill Maher is a pig more of the same...

Or change that gives money to banks, Healthcare industry and all that great stuff...

  • Why do people blame Nader for giving Bush the presidency?

Let me make this perfectly clear:

Al Gore won the election in 2000.

Al Gore won the election in 2000.

Al Gore won the election in 2000.

Ralph Nader could not have been a spoiler because Al Gore DIDN'T LOSE!!!!!!

    Why can't Democrats understand this?

  • The fact most people overlook when assessing Afghanistan is considering it a country. It's not a country but rather a conglomerate of regional tribes; as such, it should be dealt with focusing strategy.

Divide the nation up, redistribute the regions into the hands of rearmed Mujahideen warlords, and let the fight each other. The Wahabis will never control a fragmented country, solving our problems without any U.S. lives being lost.

  • Obama's change = More war, more bailouts, more Patriot Act, and more of the same. Ralph Nader was right.

  • Don't criticize him for they he's holding the mop.

    The Republicans made the mess.

He was willing to go in there and mop at the mess.

    Show the fuck up.

  • Nader is the man. We need another generation of people like him that will take the big money out of politics and rebuild America.

  • The top 1% of the population control 95% of the wealth but still only have 1% of the vote so if we want the big money out of politics then we should be ignoring the Republicans completely (they're completely dead for the time being) and using our voting power to bring in a third party that has no corporate supporters that way we'd see a better democratic party (because they're not dead yet) and a third party who really care about more than business.

  • These three are absolutely pathetic. I will never vote dishonestly. The best way to make a change, right away, is to give the Democrats consecutive losses as a result of third party/independent candidates. Then they'll be desperate for reform, and if a Republican majority opposed it, there would simply be civil disorder.

  • Nothing would have changed with Kerry he still would have had troops in Iraq. Obama is just moving the troops out Iraq to Afganistan so much for him being for peace. To hell with all the Democrats & Republicans they serve their corporate masters.

  • Well I respect your views but they have to send the troops to Afghanistan, it would not be fair to invade Afghanistan, destroy the country and then leave without fixing it -he's been left with no choice. I agree with you on Kerry had PRESIDENT Gore been elected things would have changed. Despite being of a big party (which I too think is wrong) he's a decent guy with a genuine want for change. Had it been a choice between Gore and Obama I would have went for Gore and I like Obama.

  • They won't fix it. They will cause more damage, more chaos, and unintentionally give support for the Taliban. We should let the Afghans determine their own future. It's a disgrace to continue this quagmire.

  • Oops...I punched you in the face. It would be unfair of me to stop punching you now.

  • mate, fuckin' beauty of an analogy.

    we aussies want out too.

  • Before deciding what's best for Afghanistan, don't you think we should ask THEM what they prefer? The Taliban -- who pose no threat to the USA -- would rather the USA simply leave. They don't want the USA to 'fix up their mess.' The USA has no right to mingle in the affairs in such a contentious way as they're doing at the moment.

We elimated 75% of Al-Queda and have polverised the rest of them into permanent submission. Let's bring back the "Mission Accomplished" banner and get the fuck out!

  • Yeah we should ask them what they want definitely but if we're not giving them a choice then I don't think we should just leave. I agree with you America should not be meddling in Muslim affairs, it's up to the people of a country to overthrow their oppressors, we did it, the irish did it, the indians did it so I don't see why they shouldn't too but if it's a choice between leaving without helping to fix Afghanistan and staying and helping then we should stay. We owe it to them.

  • "75% of Al-Qaeda eliminated" is an unprovable and meaningless statistic. It is the leadership and the resources it holds worldwide that poses a threat.

And you're right- Taliban poses no significant threat to the U.S. directly but re-allowing them control of the country is as good as giving it to Al-Qaeda whose support is critical to the stability of any fundamentalist regime in Central Asia.

  • But by that logic, we should invade any nation-state or state that is giving sanctuary to Al-Qaeda... which means germany, the uk and the usa itself.

    Right?

  • No, that's a far-fetched conclusion.

The solution is to either eradicate the leadership or remove safe havens. The countries you listed above do indeed have internal extremist problems but the point to note is that they have a working gov't that can control them.

The same cannot be said for Afghanistan where the current regime is both empowered by corrupt elections and holding on by the mercy of NATO. That's why we need to divide and let them fight it out.

  • Iraq wouldn't have happened without Bush, he had Colin Powell begging him not to go in but he did, he went in because of silly reasons, he literally picked Iraq off a map, saw it was a dictatorship and decided to invade. Kerry really wouldn't have went in to Iraq because no logical human being without family connections to oil saw a reason to go in. He would have went in to Afghanistan, it was a reasonable thing to do but Jesus have they messed it up. You can't tame Afghanistan, it's like Russia

  • Hahah, Kim Campbell "Former PM of Canada".... She wasn't even elected and only lasted a couple of months.

The more I watch this video, the more it reinforces my respect for Nader. Why aren't they begging the republicans not to run instead of him if they want the Dems to win so bad?

  • wow, they even rolled out Kim Campbell to lean on Ralph!

    Underlines how desperate they were.

  • Fuck Moore & Maher, tools for the pussy whipped Democratic party

Libertarians are for freedom and simply 'living the easy life'

  • 7IMX, Do you understand that Libertarians philosophy is not at all similar to Nader's?, Nader's is a progressive liberal..

You have to understand that not all people among the left are affiliated to the democratic party.

Also, Moore and Maher have been very critical of the democratic party in the past. You are uninformed when you say that.

  • Libertarians are also progressive liberals; both do not believe the government should be involved in determining how one can be socially. They tend to differ fiscally, but I think there are plenty similarities nevertheless.

And I don't think that because Moore and Maher bash the democratic party once in a while that they are fair and critical. They tend to bash the Republicans far more than their own party. Any critical person would see that the two parties are one of the same.

  • If I was Nader I would do the exact opposite of what I thought Moore and Maher would like.

  • what a sickening way to throw Nader under the bus. just sick.

  • Absolutely GlobalP! This was disrespectful to both Ralph Nader and the process. These guys aren't fit to shine Ralph's shoes and they want take away his right to run and silence his supporters. The head of the DNC, Terry Mcauliffe sued Nader in most states to get him off the ballot. THANKS GUYS! They still failed with Kerry and now Maher has what Oliver Stone calls "a sneak Bush administration" in Obama. I hope he's happy.

  • thanks swofts45 - exactly - that is exactly what MacAwful did...

i was on a talk show w/ Mac during the last campaign cycle and even though i was invited, Mac started to freely talk about his recent bio - i wanted to mention Dennis Kucinich and the work he and Howard Dean had started to engage in immediately after the 04 DNC - and the producer bumped me from the show - Mac clearly had them under his direction and only Hilary and Obama were to be spoken of!...

  • @swofts45 I fully support anyone who would bomb Terry McAuliffe's house and pour gasoline on him and burn him to death. I have the same political right to this opinion as do all the subhuman pieces of excrement who force me and others to go along with their ideological dogma to praise and honor US troops overseas who ALSO kill enemies, even though I am not legally obligated to take their side.

  • A group of the most amazing folks in the world. These are very brave people. Kudos.

  • never has my vote been taken from me...

  • i WOULD EAT MICHEAL MOORE AND CALL IT A MEXICAN SHOWER

  • Nader's a genius. "The Democrats ignore tens of millions of Americans in this country just because they don't believe in abortion or gun control." Well said, Ralph. If people could get past the token issues that have been totally overriding party politics for the last couple decades, maybe we'd actually got something done. I voted for Nader in '04 and '08 and regret nothing.

  • 08 was my first election I could vote in but I voted Nader also. It just sucks that he will never get in office :(

  • I did too!

  • But it was well done guys, because you show that you aren't influenced by Dem. or Rep. propagandas. Barack is like a miracle I confess, but better than vote for who will win is vote for who you believe it. that's fuckin beautiful democracy!

  • preach brother preach!

  • too bad we cant get nader.

  • Ralph Nader knows he's not going to win, he's not an idiot. He's running to raise awareness for very important issues that are completely ignored by the Democrats and Republicans. He's running to promote democracy and expose how the 2-party system DOES NOT WORK. He's running so that true progressive citizens can vote their conscience.

And he does have solutions and ideas. He has proven that he gets things done. Just read his platform and/or his books!

  • If Ralph Nader ran for congress he might win and he would probably be a damn good rep or senator. But running for president is just crazy. There is no realistic way, unless the makeup of our country changed very dramatically and huge portions of the elctorate from both sides became disinfranchied with the two parties, any third party could win. All he managed to do is cost Al Gore the election in 2000 and that, despite everything else he has done will be what he goes down in history for.

  • I'm sorry but that blonde chick was right, and thank God Nader has never won.

  • NAder stands for nothing. He has no plan.

  • Nader is an old man who has lost his mind. IF he cared so much about the country he'd start from the bottom like everybody else.

  • Wow. Do they realize how idiotic they look/sound "Don't run for president because you are so great and we love you"... Ridiculous.

And then the argument that this is how it works in America and that he should be glad that Kerry is better than Bush... Really? He should be happy to settle for someone who does not share his values at all? He should deny hundreds of thousands of Americans the right to vote with their heart, for a progressive party, a true left wing option??

  • Go Ralph Go!

  • That ending comment is harsh. one day he's gonna get in a car accident and at the last moment before impact think, am I wearing my seatbelt?

  • NAder is great.

  • Iv lost alot of respect for Mahar and Moore over their treatment to Nader and just their hypocrisy over issues and what they believe in especially Moore. Both jack ass's support what Nader stands for yet are continuing too just follow the trend of the democrats, Its stupid. Wake the hell up people dems and repubs arnt any different!

  • Agreed.

  • definitely agree with you bro.

Third party is the way to go.

  • First of all, to say that Dems and Repubs, "arnt any different" is completely idiotic. Sure, there are similarities between the two, but the differences are staggering.

Also, Moore and Maher are far from stupid on their beliefs, but if you consider being realitic as being "stupid" then I guess I'd agree. As it stands now, the liberal party doesn't have a chance in this country, and until that changes they'll continue to support the, "lesser of two evils" as Maher put it and so will I.

  • so its fine when nader took the crucial votes from al gore and kerry and gave us 8 years of bush?

get "visionary nader" in or it doesn't even matter if the worst president in the US history is elected twice, is that your logic?

nice speech nader gave on free speech tv. he is a great american but a dumbass politician. he will go down in history as an obstacle to progress and rightfully so. the people he fires up are an extreme minority and they look like whiners and haters by the conservatives.

  • i agree

  • @mexluver05 I agree completely. If they supported him instead of downplaying him, he would have received more votes. I hear this all the time on these "liberal" talk shows. WAMC is one. They never support the third party candidates. Why don't they come out and say, "Vote for Nader!" Maybe they really don't want things to change too much! It might hurt their careers.

  • Votes dont matter. The ruling class will do everything imaginable to keep the power in their hands. To include lying and cheating. We need to lose the gang mentality and come together. It's now the working class Vs. the elite. While we fight, they just get fatter.

  • why do democrats *insist* on crippling themselves? It's asinine, there sitting there admitting he's a better candidate and instead of SPREADING THE WORD TO VOTE FOR HIM INSTEAD OF KERRY they sit there and chop their own balls off.

We will be doomed to the two corporate party duopoly if we heed to the mentallity of Moore and Maher in this clip each election year. It's you obligation as a voter to cast your vote for the BEST candidate. We don't need to convince ourselves that we need to 'settle'

  • like maher said, you can be right but not correct. it's not like we don't like nader because he would be a good president because he wouldn't be swayed. but he doesn't see the forest for the trees.

  • United States should use preferential voting. It's a wonderful thing.

  • Nader for the supreme court!

lol and lighten up on Maher, don't tell me that you didn't find their begging atleast a little funny.

  • Al gore won by 500,000 votes so he did everything he fucking could.

Nader should have dropped out and gore would have won by 1.5 mil-2.0 mil roughly and since Nader was running in the "green party" which is just far left not accepted by democrats he should have been a true american, and the nader that we all know and love and dropped out.

  • ralph nader ruined this country in 2004

  • FUCK YOU! Where the fuck do you get off blaming Nader - of all people - for the actions of George W. Fucking Bush! You indoctrinated meat-axe . Jesus. And Gore, what the fuck did he do to fight against a stolen election. You stupid fucking shitball. Ralph Nader has done more good for the world than any of the candidates from at least the last two decades. Jesus.. I hope you buy a dodgy foreign car that contravenes safety regulations and get hit by a cadillac you ignorant ass.

  • @gorgod BRAVO!

  • sore loser... the worst thing is that most of you, hardcore democrats, just voted for Gore cause he had more publicity. Nader was the better candidate and it was his right to run.

  • lets get one thing straight here, I love Ralph Nader and think he is the best candidate but there are times when you have to go for what's best for you and rational. Making a statement by saying I VOTED FOR NADER is dumb because of the fact that we both know how much better this country would have been if it was Gore or Nader over Bush. Be smart and vote for whats best for you and dont do this "make a difference bull crap"

  • 1 Nader got more votes from Repulicans than Democrats as he's more conservative than Bush & McCain. Ask Ron Paul who endorsed Nader.

2 The TRUTH is, more Democrats voted for Bush than Nader. Blame them.

3 Bush CONTINUED not stated the lies of Iraq having "WMD" terroist ties that the Clinton/ Gore administration made.

The Clinton/ Gore administration placed sanction on Iraq & bombed Iraq for "WMD" that UN said killed thousands.

Gore chose Iraq war cheerleder Lieberman as VP.

  • 4 Gore lost his own state of Tennesse and Clinton's home stae of Arkansas. Winning either would've won the election

5 Gore did win the election. He got more votes in FL & the Republicans & Supreme Court ruling cheated the voters. Blame the thieves.

(Even though the Dems are guilty for disenfranchising Nader's voters in 2004 for using taxpaters money to remove him from the ballot. 12 Dem. legislatures in PA have recently been arrested for their actions)

Be smart. don't belive the lies.

  • @futanflqb7 Exactly. And Ralph Nader is best for me. The mentally inferior subhumans who cannot compute cause and effect do not have the mental capacity to comprehend the amazingly abstract concept that nobody forced voters to vote for Bush or Gore or Bucahanan. They all could have voted for Nader.

I feel more sorry for the 911 hijackers because they had no way of knowing cause and effect either - i.e. whether slamming planes into buildings will have negative effects.

  • Whenever I want to piss myself off I watch this video. Moore and Maher are thugs.

  • Yah. Comparing Nader to OJ Simpson was a real injustice.

  • assholes, Nader 08!

  • Nader > Obama > Colbert > McCain

  • Obama = McCain, McCain = Obama

  • After watching this, I've lost respect for Michael Moore and Bill Maher. Shameful.

  • look at them begging for a strict 2 party system!!!! 2 parties, 300,000,000 people. Someone better bring shit loads of beer. lol

  • the funniest thing I seen all day!

  • Wow I used to think that democrats were slightly better than republicans--I was wrong they both totally suck--shame on you democrats for blaming the election loss on Nader--it's your fault for having crappy choices both times! Long live the independents.

  • Democrats are so arrogant. I agree with you Mr. Nader although I do not like Republicans, too.

  • Don't trust Michael Moore. He is a trickster. Nader is much more trustworthy than Maher or Moore.

  • It occurred to me that when Maher asked Nader the "Kerry vs. Duke" question, Nader should have shot back with, "what if it was Bush vs. Duke? Would you then vote for me?"

Maher would very probably answer, "yes," to which Nader should have then replied, "So there is a point you would vote for me, in other words, Kerry's just not bad enough."

  • From 2:00 to 2:20 Nader pretty much tells everyone how dumb Michael Moore truly is. I love that stupid look Michael Moore has on his face after Nader finishes that remark. That's the look of indigestion brought on by eating crow.

  • fuck you micheal moore I thought you were a good guy and hear you are discouraging REAL democracy.

  • And it's like this. The Kerry-Bush situation ( in as much as the Gore-Bush situation ), was less about Nader picking up the measly thousands, but more of Kerry/Gore leading a measly percentage. If you couldn't muster another percentage point to ascend, then you are NOT a strong candidate to begin with. You'd be clutching at straws.

And FUCK YOU Senator John McCain. Cheap-ass lowbrow retard.

  • This is disgusting.

Whack-brain Maher and lard-ass Moore begging one of the only people in the US political scene with a *conscience*, just so they can attempt to get a democrap "lesser of two evils" candidate into office. (Actually sKerry was worse than Gush or Bore, if such a thing were possible...)

When you care more about partisanship than principles, your vote no longer means squat.

  • Oh yes he IS. This 2004 election was actually one case where George Bush stood out as not only the inadvertent ' lesser evil ', but a NECESSARY one. The incidence that w/c shall finally establish once and for all that Neo-conservativism SUCKS.

Gee, look at what happened. They came into power worshipping money, and ended up with a recession. This douchebag of a loser NOT being impeached shows us how far society has gone from the days of FDR.

  • Speaking of Kerry, seriously if that panderer ever got elected, he'd be picking up those same bullshit policies into making them worse - yet in a way where the international community would LOVE him , because he's so dang nice about it. ' Look, this guy is friendly, and erudite, & has a European lineage, and likes alternative fuels - who cares if he bombs the crap out of Iran ?!? ' We narrowly escaped the REAL Apocalypse situation, I swear....

  • I think that some state should institute instant-runoff elections of the following type: Many individuals would run for office, either on their own or in a party. A voter would vote for his/her candidate, and would also be able to indicate a preference between two major parties. If the voter's candidate is defeated, his vote goes to his preferred major. Initially, the major parties would be Dems and GOP, but a third party could replace one with enough victories.

  • nader's right.

you shouldn't have to settle for the lesser

of two evils. VOTE for the person whose

positions on all the issues agree with yours

and who you believe can get the job done.

  • Amen.

And that morbidly obese piece of human garbage Michael Moore had the unmitigated gall to refer to that as "feel good" voting.

    Screw you Michael Moore.

  • Michal Moore looked like he wanted to kill that guy.

  • I do too.

  • I don't know about you but Maher has a face that just *begs* to be bitch slapped...

  • Bush has fucked this nation over more than anyone could possible dream of.

Anything is better than what we have now.

  • Speaking of choosing the lesser evils, the past years has since proven one of my major hunches : that a Bush win would in fact be the inadvertently better one for the world. And this is NOT even in the sense of Bush as preference in any sense. I always felt it better to let him burn in the fat of his own iniquity, than go out a martyr felled by a ' muckracking film' and some dirty tactics. Give him the chance to destroy himself. Glad the imbecile stood up for the job.

  • Thus, it was no effort for the bigoted fuckheads to paint that elections as a mere ' sex versus violence ' thing, ' abortion-gay marriage debauchery ' versus ' handgun homicide '. Man, imagine if Kerry won under those circumstances. A Sword of Damocles would have been dangling above his head the entire time : ' nuke the arabs, or get ousted '. And it would be that SAME FEAR stopping them from challenging that ' end-game '. A complete deadlock. THAT was what they were begging for ?

  • THAT'S Ralph Nader's fault TOO ? I do normally respect Bill Maher and Michael Moore, but I've long suspected that this Kerry bussiness was their, and the liberal's lowest point. Where was the Michael Moore who insisted on voting their conscience ? Of risking the future in the name of compromise ? Look what DID happen.

What really irked me about the whole 2004 situation was how the liberals of America appeared to be more interested in voting THEIR persuasions in the ballot.

  • In true Kerry fashion, Moore flip-flopped on voting your conscience, and called is "feel good" voting. Then he went on to compare it to masturbation.

Any respect I had for Moore died nearly a decade ago...

  • God, how lame was this Kerry ? So damn fucking weak he's dependent on people that pull out 2 % of a total vote ? What, he COULDN'T get a sizeable consensus on his own accord. So fucking hate this terrible wimp. It's like a NARROW MARGIN win is the best thing they can think of pulling off of him from the start. I mean, even if that bastard DID get the presidential seat, do they think they'd be completely better off, when the fascist Republicans both Senate and House seats anyways ?

  • Wow. The guy who put seatbelts in cars is treated like some throwaway dipshit. This is America, huh ?

  • I'm back here to correct what I said below. Maybe Ralph was refering to "worshiping" on their knees when he said that the only difference between the Dem.s and Rep.s was the velocity at which their knees hit the floor before the corporation... Ralph seems like a really decent family guy and I want to be sure not to put words in his mouth. Nader-Gonzalez 2008!

  • michael moore is a sellout, and bill maher dated ann coulter.

  • Canada I think has 3-5 major parties normally, and we only get 2. It's a damn good thing a former PM of Canada is here to set Bill and Michael straight and encourage Nader to keep running. Shame on you 2. How dare you try to keep a 3rd party candidate out just because you think he'll a "spoiler." You know what? Instead of keeping Nader out, how about you fix your own house, by which I mean the Democrats? Hold the Dems accountable and tell them to start getting serious!

  • Michael Moore is a sellout. He voted for Nader in 2000 and criticized the Democrats, but then he does a 180 and supports Kerry in 04 and now supports Obama. Fuck you, Michael! You're a stupid fat white man yourself. And Bill, I dunno wtf is with you. Why would you support one of the two major party candidates as opposed to the real candidate Ralph Nader? Kerry was just Bush-lite, and Obama will hardly bring us change.

  • wow, michael hitting nader with the dagger eyes... it looked to me like he hated nader soooo much.

  • See???!!! They really do hit the floor on their knees for all to see.....

  • See henpage below... sellouts! They've got NO GAME and have reverted to the stance of the corporate owned puppets in this duocracy (republicans/democrats) whose only difference is the velocity at which their knees hit the floor when the corporation goes to unzip.... (I credit that great phrase to Ralph, as it's a most apt description of what goes on when former champions of the people sell-out).

  • In Canada the party that gains the most number of seats in the House of Commons wins the Prime Minister's office, so in that regard it is a "sudden death" election. And in fact, you can make a strong case that the social democratic NDP party "spoiled" the federal Liberal party last election, resulting in a Conservative Prime Minister Office. But if you're truly serious about free elections, you respect the right of third parties to run.

  • Wow, this video makes me want to cry.

  • Is Micheal Moore an American?

  • maher is a fuck wit, moore is a fake.

  • ill second that

  • In 2000, Michael Moore toured with Nader for rallies and such, giving Gore and Bush plenty of shit and supporting Nader. After 9/11 and Iraq, Moore didn't want to mess around with another spoiler. It's that sort of thinking that will never get us out of this sytem. In 2004, you worried about a spoiler, and 2008 you do too. At what point will it stop?

  • DONT BLAME BUSH !!! Dont Blame Moore dont blame Maher, Blame the TV watching, American Idol loving American public. If its not on the TV its not real or viable. Materialism is our biggest religion and it is killing mother earth,(God is dead we killed her) Furthermoore voting for another Clinton will almost guarentee you another Bush, because Americans buy what they see is being bought. And Florida is the 4th largest electorial state and Jeb would love to run in 20012 with the backing of oil corp

  • This is when I stopped respecting Moore and Maher. I do happen to agree with the former Prime Minister of Canada's take on the situation. And I'll always support Ralph. That is, until it looks like he cannot possibly win, then I will vote for the Democrat.

  • moore and maher are both prostitutes of the democratic party.

  • This kind of circus must infuriate those independents over at Fox News.

  • The irony.

"We love you Ralph, but please don't give us more than two choices!"

Some people are just so brainwashed.

  • wow Kim Campbell, pretty well spoken

  • Nader reveals that anti-democratic side of Maher and Moore.

  • Why FEAR SMEAR?

    Obama will win landslide...

    Right DNC?

    gravel kucinich paul nader

    The truth is powerful.

  • I was planning on voting for Obama in November but if Nadar runs I'm going Green!

  • consider the ego-driven natrure of the Nader white house runs: we only really hear from him once every 4 years. If he really wanted to build a viable 3rd party he could go after some well-targeted seat on a house, senate or also higher local government level. he's Ralph Nader, he has more than enough name recognition to do this, and from there he could start building and making a real difference in the day to day. Instead, looks like he is addicted to the big media galm he pretends to hate.
