The attitude is the same. They want the perfect set every time they hit the stage. Of course things are going to change with sound and positions but what the fuck? U cannot compare 1994 to 2009. It's a pointless endeavor. For me personally growing up with the band I like the new songs and styles. Its ambitious and extremely personal. I consider it a new era with phish. They are growing older gracefully inside this thing of theirs. Its classy, its edgy, and it fucking still consumes me!

Actually, They probably are getting "Phunky" Just that you cant hear it. The camera is plugged directly into the sound board. Thats why this Boot-leg Has such good quality.

And so you learn something...Phish didn't completely rip off the Dead anymore than they were influenced by alot of other bands. The only thing Phish truly ripped from the Dead is the spirit of playing improvised music. With the exception of Ocelot and maybe the Mango Song, I don't hear the Dead in their music. I"m a huge phish/trey fan. Appreciate the skill the whole group brings. But i gotta' admit; i think trey's sound with his guitar on this tour is junk. He is not sharp and his guitar sounds sick. Sick, meaning has the flu, not a good type sick. Sorry, but i just have to say.

Well, Mike definitely has an infusion of Phil in this one. You're right, Phish is it's own monster, but this is the closest Phish has ever sounded to the dead. Trey's first quick jam has a little Jerry Flavoring, but the longer Jam is all Trey. Page is doing his own thing and one Fishman is always better than Two Dead drummers. The Grateful Dead are gone, but not buried. There's enough love in my heart for the classics. Don't live in the past, but understand it. It makes for a better future.
