I wrote a book titled ATCHAFALA SWAMP LIFE, and Jessie Daigle was by far my best informant on the west side of the Basin. He was very intelligent, always knew the answers, was always honest and reliable and to boot--a real character. Even after writing this book, he knew more in his little finger than I could ever hope to know of swamp life. I hope his application is given serious consideration, as he is the best.

Them Cajuns are a unique breed. They pretty much have kept their heritage in tacked, living of the land and the swamp as they have done for hundreds of years. Always making use of whatever resource they have from the land or man made. I am proud to be one of them!
great video Jessie, the family is close personal friends who I as well as my kids spend time with in the basin hunting and fishing. Mr. Jessie is 78 years old and will out work any 20 year old I know, he is what you call a real man. Good luck hope they can see real cajun culture when provided to them.

I know this family. Thier daughter Melissa was a good friend to my little sister and myself. They are the real deal when it comes to cajun swamp people and they'd be really remiss in not casting them.

These guys are the real deal. Three generations of true year round swampmen not just in September. Hope they make it, I'm tired of the current show just showing gator hunting. The swamp has alot more to offer than just gators and these guys take it seriously. The old man is a trip 78 yrs old and still lives off the swamp hunting and fishing nearly everyday.
@chums101 It's not about hanging with anybody it's a way of life. If we had the right cameras and a camera crew it would look just as exciting.
