Also, don't forget that this was kind of at the time where Paramore became famous (even more then before and it was long before Brand New Eyes obviously) As far as i know Hayley was doing A TON of vocal practice with her voice coach. That's why it sounds so much like the original, there's an interview (search Singing Success) on YouTube where Hayley talks about her vocal coach and she starts singing 'We Are broken' in the end and it leads into the actual song flawlessly.

Just so you know, they're playing to a track with the guitar layers from the album and some background vocals (most obviously the "234"). Hayley's vocals are live, maybe pitch corrected; they've used it before, but a flawless performance isn't unheard of.

@SuckerpunchHilstrand Actually Josh sings the backup vocals and the 234 was the crowd and u can hear there is a slight difference in sound of Hayley's voice. It sounds harder. They have never used pitch correction because as Hayley said "I don't use autotune or pitch correction because i can sing."

If it were the crowd that we're hearing doing the 234, it wouldn't be that clear and focused. Just like trying to get a huge crowd clapping in time with the band, it ends up mixed and muddled due to sound hitting people at different times (and people with no rhythm). @SuckerpunchHilstrand Yes ive heard the link you gave me before. But they were forced to use it on that stage or show but after getting alot of complaints from the band about using it, they stopped forcing people to use it. And that wasn't pitch coreection, that's obviously autotune.

it seems like all of these paramore vids have people commenting about autotune. i don't think some people understand how pitch correction software works. you can use it in post production of a recorded show like this one but it doesn't work in real time. there is no real reason to use pitch correction for someone who is already singing in key. if you could use it live then we wouldn't have to suffer through "singers" like taylor swift butchering our ear drums at awards shows.

@whatsthebigfndeal obviously you don't know anything about autotune, you can use it for editing a song, but you also can use it live. Usually when its used live you can hear it pretty distinctively because it really affects the voice of the singer

@whatsthebigfndeal I don't think you know how pitch correction software is used. Open up autotune. Set it to monitoring mode. Sing in the microphone and it automatically corrects the pitch as you sing in REAL TIME. Don't talk before you know what you are talking about.
