I wouldn't even dream of doing a black run on my 1st day. I got persuaded into doing a blue run on my 2nd day snowboarding on an icy slope and fell over so many times.

What do you think is more tiring, skiing or snowboarding, and which would be easier to progress to do back country runs?

This is snow summit resort at big bear. I been there, its a fucking black diamond, it may be one of the easier ones at the resort but its still a black diamond.

True, this is one of the easier black diamonds at Snow Summit but the run this guy in video is on is Miracle Mile and its mainly a blue square and a small part of it is a black diamond (a blue square detour is available) so stop saying this is a short black or some bullshit.

Damn, people in Cali should get their ratings together. That "black diamond" is easier than our easiest green trail here in VT. Seriously, the first run I went on was steeper than that, had turns in it, and had a bunch of steeper sections.

Pretty impressive either way- you only fell twice on this run. Pretty damn good for two hours into it on a green (or whatever) trail. I'll try to take a video camera with me the next time I go out to prove that our trails are harder....

Thank you for asking. Yes, this is my very 1st time ever on a snowboard. I am a very very good skier, ice hockey player, skateboarder, roller hockey player, wake boarder and all kind of other sports. The one thing I can really relate snowboarding to is wake boarding. Of course it helps to be athletic and being able to adjust to anything.
