I wouldn't say she's a bad actress exactly, but she definitely needs to work on her expressions.

She was referring to the bullies in the school, and the fact that Rachel wasn't her friend anymore. Her parents didn't know about the rape. As a matter of fact, no one knew. She didn't tell anyone. It traumatized her so much, she figured that if she didn't talk about it, she could make herself believe it didn't happen, poor girl.

ok i didn't think so... cuz I read the book and nobody knew. It just kinda seemed a little confusing to me just cuz her mom was being all tender and like "oh you will forget this all in 5 years". So by "this" I thought she meant that whole rape thing... so ya. Thanks for clearing it up:)

Hell, I still remember shit from middle school and even further beyond that. The things that may have happened to you in school are the things that have shaped you all your life...You don't just 'forget' things like that.

@NeonStarr0067 so true. when someone calls me a name i get flashbacks to my Jr high and high school years. now that i'm 25 I've learned to voice how i feel rather than be the quiet little mouse i once was. needless to say when someone calls me a name now I just look at them and put them in their place. That's something I never used to do.

It shapes who you are as an adult, but it is up to you to decide if it will be negative or positive. I took it and grew from it, becoming the self confident, assertive woman I am today. Kristen Stewart did an amazing job acting in this movie, I think it really actually affected her life playing this role. I love this movie and hate it at the same time. Its so beautiful yet horrid at the same time.
