And if you were paying attention to Obama's speech when he said 57 states, you would realize that before he made that mistake, he mentioned how he had been traveling through most of the country for fifteen months. I wonder if maybe exhaustion had to do with his mistake? Basil here seems to not only be nervous, but extremely intoxicated. Kind of reminds me of this guy named Bush.

Also, you are generalizing all liberals (or at least "Obama's left wing followers") as socialists and criminals. It is not just one person or even one party that has been the complete downfall to this country. I can see though how people talk, including Basil, Bush and Obama. They all talk.

@devnulzzz The bailout happened under Bush. At the end of the Bush term, the country was losing 700,00 jobs a month. Bush took eight years to totally blow through the surplus left him by Clinton. Tax cuts and two wars, and Wall Street corruption killed the economy, if you remember. Obama is slowly fixing that.

Moreover, there was a massive dot com failure as clinton left office, which destroyed much of the so called "surplus" you speak of. , it was the REPUBLICANS that controlled both houses under gingrich that led clinton to welfare reform and a balanced budget. despite 2001 , and 2 wars, like kennedy and reagan, the bush tax cuts brought us OUT quickly, with much positive GDP growth and 5% unemployment. @devnulzzz Republicans also controlled the house and senate from 2001-2006. During that time, the tax cuts were implemented, as were the two wars. These bankrupted the country. Please google David Stockman, a Reagan man, and see what he has to say about Republican policies. He can explain it better than I.

The defecit is over FOUR TIMES bush's, Almost all economists agree the bush tax cuts should be EXTENDED for EVERYONE. Once our first "post constitutional" president and his elected neo-monarchist socialist crooks are ejected from the senate and the house, we can hopefully restore our country. Fortunately, most understand what is happening, and that this horrible man obama is certainly not "fixing" anything.

The ONLY successes obama can tout are the TAX CUTS that produced SOME results, as cash for clunkers, and the home tax credit. He needs to offer tax cuts for buyers of his idiotic battery cars too. His actions ADMIT tax cuts work. Huge government spending and massive taxation do not. Enough said. it aint rocket science.

@devnulzzz Obama is extending the tax cuts b/c in the middle of a recession it doesn't make any sense to suddenly raise taxes (even tho they would be "raised" back to their normal levels...). However, conservatives have a big problem, b/c if you're going to be deficit hawks and vote down bills like the one to provide $ for health care for 1st responders of 9/11 who have lifelong health problems now b/c it's a "deficit-adding slush fund", you're going to have to repeal these tax cuts at some pt

@devnulzzz For your 1st comment, the stimulus money is already there. They're not adding more taxes as that money has already been budgeted and a huge chunk is basically "sitting around" waiting to be spent- this is why Scott Brown wanted (and was successful) to use it to pay for some of the financial overhaul instead of taxing banks, who are thriving by the way even w/in this recession. The thing about care for illegals is a lie too, that wasn't on there.

In addition, the democrats could have passed the bill with a simple majority, the only reason they did not, is because if they did, the GOP would be allowed to present ammendments and cut the pork out of it. The democrats have already spent more than ALL previous admins COMBINED. we cant "spend our way" out of debt. How damn HARD is that to understand? WE MUST stimulate the private sector, NOT grow govt.

Of course they stimulate the economy, but among the highest earners (and distributors of wealth in our economy) they will SAVE money more often than not in a recession, not spend it and boost the economy. I also agree tax cuts ALONE are not the answer, it must be accompanied with CUTS in GOVT spending. Now, it is the exact opposite, tax INCREASES, and HUGE govt spending. It is a sure failure. It has failed WHENEVER and WHEREVER it has been tried. Pretty simple.
