I can guarantee you this is David Archuleta....and if you read his journal excerpts found on the internet.....you will see where he talks about being in NY on the first anivers. of 9/11 singing this song at the fire station.....and what that meant to him to be there.....and I can also guarantee you, no one could have sung this song like David.....he is a one of a kind...a PRODIGY....He is just not singing the words....he is feeling them too....he is a rare gem....

I do think that David's dad "guided" him towards music, but I don't think he "pushed" David towards it. I mean, it seems similar to if you recognize any other talent your kid might have, like if he's really good at soccer and you don't just put him on the intramural team to play, but you put him on the private club team. That way you're just guiding them forward in something they are clearly talented in. I don't think that's necessarily a negative thing. Plus, the kid obv feels it in him.
