Nice. Been building mine for last 3 years. Be finished spring 2011. 460 ford/ tremec r-600/ currie 9 inch/ Auborne hub w/T3 & 370 finals. Adj 4 link. Wilwoods, 15 " haldribands. 4" round main frame. Not using any donar parts.
nice job, beautiful, one mistake, butt connectors and scotch connectors on the wiring, solder and shrink tubing, connectors vibrate, expand and contract, have to solder them,to avoid problems down the road
Great Job On The Build! Paint Job looks incredible, and the Cobra is jaw droppingly amazing.... one hell of an automobile.... and one of the best replica kits out there!
Hi Vince, my name is pablo 26 years I'm writing from chile I congratulate you on your car
I have a 70 mercury cougar and I'm thinking a big step and make the car of my dreams, you already got it and I congratulate you, I come to consult you and ask you for your help, that here in Chile there is little information and materials to build you the car
Hey, are these difficult to make. I have very little experience with car mechanics and engineering so would this probably be extremely difficult for me?
thank you for posting this. I'm saving now to purchase one of these kits when I finish UTI next year. There were some questions on certain things that your pictures answered for me. Thank you again. Great build.
Hey Big. The scotch connecotrs are mostly in the dash lighting circuit. I probabl should have soldered and shrinked those, but hind sight is 20/20 for me :)
@ 17K miles they have not caused any issues so far.
no scotch locks,I soldered and shrink tubed everything.Using factory [Ford OEM]connectors everywhere else, its better than the original cobras by a mile and as good as a 2009 ford product..stay away from ,butt connectors, scotch lock etc period.
Great looking snake!!! I'm thinking about a build, what do you think was your cost? I used to have one and sold it.......Biggest mistake of my life!!!!
My Dad and I are thinking about building one of these, however we don't have alot of mechanical knowledge, how difficult did you find the build? I think we are going to go to the build school at factory 5
The build is not difficult if you farm out the bodywork and paint. All you really need a good set of tools and the desire to build it. The guys at ffcobra website are a great help whenever you have questions.
i want to build one so bad!!
