Am I the only who prefers this version? Sinead can't really sing this from her soul if she didn't even write it. Plus, you might say I'm crazy... but Sinead can't actually sing. I know this because my dad has a friend who produced for her, and they had to put auto-tune on her voice for the song and her performances!

For all who don't know this is the original version. The master Prince and Rosie Gaines put this track down and then came along Sinead O'Connor. She did it well in her performance but as my Grandfather would say, "you can't grease an oil can" and Prince will always be that oil can that pours hits like this for a Sinead O' Connor to slip into and get recognition.
I Really Prefere this to Sinead O'Connors version... Here voice is very distictive, and the song sounds horrible and less tuneful when I here her version of it. She makes it sound Atonal! But that's just my opinion! :)

This version is a lot better that the version that we all know by Sinead. But usually the person who wrote it and performed the original is always better.
I prefer this to O'Connor's versions. I think it could do with out Gaines - it's just great to hear Prince sing this song. He has a very distinctive song writing style and his voice fits the melody perfectly.
The reason that the Pince version has less views, is because Prince's version sucks. Sinead, whatever you think of her, poured her soul into that song. Her mother had died as a teen. Sorry, Prince and "Rosie" don't impress.

Any true Prince fan know that this was originally sang by a group of his called "the Family" as a duet....just as he as Rosie does....I still remember the day that O'Conner debut the song and I knew ever word to it!!!! Prince is an amazing musician and will forever be known for that!!!! Prince Fan Forever!!!!

Sinead did do a good job with this song but........ Nothing compares to Prince and Rosie. They laid this song out. You can't help but feel every emotion. A tear jerker!!

Comparing the versions for quality is like comparing apples to oranges. The original version by The Family (prince) was done in completely different context than the Sinead version, and from this version. Sinead really nailed the emotion and vocal power in a raw way, but that doesn't make it better. Just different. Love all versions of this song.

I prefer this to O'Connor's versions. I think it could do with out Gaines - it's just great to hear Prince sing this song. He has a very distinctive song writing style and his voice fits the melody perfectly.

The reason that the Pince version has less views, is because Prince's version sucks. Sinead, whatever you think of her, poured her soul into that song. Her mother had died as a teen. Sorry, Prince and "Rosie" don't impress.
