Definatly good, not so sure about their drumline though... they arent the best at drum breaks most definatly. Especially the first one. They are good in blance of the music, but preformance wise there was a lot of crunching together, spacing wise any ways. Hard to tell the execution of moves from this angle. But heres the thing, all this talent is wasted by rude and cocky people, because attitude matters. You represent your school not you, so get over yourself. Extreamly poor sportsmanship.

I have seen Cabell's 2010 show, it is AMAZING, and the two competitions I have went to that they were in, they have taken home 1st place!  =D I happen to think they are AMAZING!! =D

i like how no one has mentioned 2010's competition, what place did they get? 3RD! i guess some other schools decided to come, sorry for the disappoint Cabell, doesn't look like your gonna win much this year, after CAP High humiliated you at both Football and Soccer,cant wait till baseball and basketball :) see you guys then, sorry we couldn't make it to the band comp. this year =) , maybe you guys will grow a pair and invite someone other than Riverside from Kanawha (thats our worst team by far)

It doesn' matter to me if CMHS wins at sporting events. The band is all I care about. And in case you were unaware, the band has won a lot. In fact, we haven't lost yet; we're still undefeated.

@fanboysquall there was only one line in there about sports, litterally 16 words (count em) im sorry to confuse you by saying team in the last line, i meant band (theyre the worst at everything so it doesnt really matter), and it can be about anything, band, football, baseball, cheerleading, track, anything at all... it still applies, Cabell is too scared to go against us in ANYTHING, and when they are forced to, they get their a**es kicked, and how havent you lost? last i checked you got 3rd...

@geterhero Last I checked, 3rd out of 32 is fantastic. I like how you keep calling us "Cabell". Cabell is the county, not the school. Cabell Midland isn't "scared" to go against anyone. And last I checked, one of our cross country runner is #1 in the nation. Cabell Midland's a phenomenal school and you're just going to have to live with that. We don't try to bash other schools to make us feel better because there's no point. It's immature and show poor sportmanship.

@geterhero listen who every you are, every band out there that does a contest and puts there heart and soul into it is a true winner. trophies and numbers dont mean a thing. marching band is just a walking concert band. so my opinion if you dont have nothing nice to say dont say anything. CMHS marching knights are true winners everytime they put there heart and soul onto that field. thats why they are so great!!!!!!!!!!

Saw your band at Marshall, it was ok and congrats on the win, but the judges absolutely messed up...Beavercreek should have won, the most entertaining show I have ever seen in my life. Look them up they are very good

I looked up their show back before Marshall. I was terrified because I thought we were definately going to lose. But Princeton and Spring Valley also beat Beavercreek. So I don't think the judges messed up. Maybe it just wasn't their best show.

@fanboysquall yeah, Greg is totally right, what were the top ranking schools in Spring Valley?? Hmm Maybe Cabell Midland, Huntington, Wayne County, oh wait a second, there all from the same area. Thats why less bands were at the Spring Valley Festival this year, they favor all of the bands in their area down there. The Cabell-Midland Festival is much more fair...........

@interceptorcrj Judges are unbias or else they wouldn't be allowed to judge. Clearly we, Cabell Midland, are a great band because we went to Ironton, OH this year where none of the judges have ever seen us before and we still got first. It's not a matter of who the judges like best, it's a matter of how well the band performs, that's all there is to it.

Beavercreeks show wasn't as challenging or clean as the top three bands. their music was crowd appealing, but not competition worthy. maybe it was an off year for them though.

By the way, I have a question. I don't know much about Spring Valley's show, because I only saw their exhibition at their festival. So, did they improve that much by the time Black Walnut came around, because I couldn't believe we lost to them. I figured that since you're from that area that you've seen their show at least once.

Well I really didn't get to see their exhibition very well because our band was sitting by the goal post, so we only saw the side of their show.

But I think Spring Valley improved greatly over a short period of time. I didn't get to see there show except the exhibition as well, but from what I've heard, they did amazing at both Black Walnut and Marshall.
