My car has a radio w/no tape-deck...NY metal on the radio is almost non-existent except for some collage broadcasts...At home I blast my King Diamond and Judas Priest...We seem to stick with certain bands our whole lives...Sure we age but in our minds, when we are listening to our favorites, we are somehow transported back to long ago...When life seemed simpler...28? Old fart, LOL...
@stonedcommander Biggest thing for me is the nostalgia of it. Remembering what I was doing or who I was hanging with the first time I heard an awesome song that would later continue to speak to me or be associated w a period of my life. (Even if it's just a song or album that simply stomped ass.) Whatever's going on in life, good or bad, can always turn to music and enhance a moment or go somewhere else altogether.
28? Shit dude....you are still a baby compared to me!!! You may be surprised at how annoying loud music will become once you start stepping into your 40's! lol I hope you never stop enjoying it....however, with each passing decade a 'new' and 'unexpected' self seems to emerge that will most likely surprise the hell out of you. Oh the joys of getting older.......-Steve-
@OceanTownPictures I know I'm a young'n yet lol. I'll likely be talking about it when I join the sixty plus crowd and every decade before and after that lol. It's cliche but I really wish I knew what I know now back when I was 18. But then I'm nothing like who I was back then. Meh. Hopefully I'll have many decades to explore the different iterations of me. :)
