  • ive watched most of you solve tutorials and i dont have any

  • this video persuaded me greatly to get a curvy copter; it looks awesome to solve.

  • R L B L B R B L B L

i looked at that and read

Real Life BLows, Be Right Back, Laughing (B?)out Loudly

    never gonna forget that :)

  • Thanks for this tutorial. It really helped me a lot!

  • bro my cube came and it was so well lubed.

  • yay !

  • cool, step 5 is the only thing that really needs to be remembered.

except for the 2 last sequences it's easier than with a classic rubik's cube to figure out what's actually happening. (probably because nothing happens on the dark side of the cube when you do these moves).

    thanks

  • I wich all my teachers could explain things as good as you do :p great tutorial

  • On step 4 I found a much easier way to switch 2 triangles that are in the correct orbit. Position the cube so the 2 triangles need to switch from left to right and that are on the right and use this algorithm:

    F R L RJ F R L F

  • Very Good !!!

  • Do you come up with your own algorithms?

  • @PsychoMuffinMuncher I do. Sometimes they aren't the best.

  • @deldri got it...i done the parity alg from the elicopter cube and just switch the center cap xD

  • when i try to orient the corners on my Helicotper cube i gat one corner that is unsolved, can you help me?

  • @ericfam01 That is an impossible case to get to. So just twist the edge that the corner rests on 90 degrees, and then twist the actual corner to the solved state and turn the edge back.

  • @redkb Here's a tip for solving the last triangles: if you do a jumbling move normally to swap two triangles, it will twist the center edge on the jumble as well. This makes you have to use the "helicopter jumble" algorithm later to fix it. To prevent any center edge from twisting during jumbling, twist that center edge and THEN do the jumbling move. This twists it twice, preventing it from flipping. So you don't have to fix it at the end. You can also...

  • A few days ago I got a helcopter cube, and I solved it a few times since than.

Now I am watching this tutorial, and I just realised that the helicopter cube jumbles. It is like OMG...wtf...

  • I have a MF8 helicopter dodecahedron. I used your algorithm to solve it, and I applies fine. But unfortunately, the last step doesn't work with dodecahedron - rotation of the corners that are on place. If I make same rotation - like RBLF 6 times or more (but with dodecahedron it will be 5 sides) - it doesn't rotate any number of corners. So, I have some corners wrongly rotated and don't know what to do. Can anyone suggest?

  • at 4:43 the white and red edge is flipped

  • what do i do when my last two corners are flip and everthing else is sovle just the corner are swaped.=o

  • I'm gonna buy this one and a gear puzzle RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for the videos! I just got mine in the mail and was curious if you've had any problems with the edge pieces popping out. When I first started playing with it, I made about 3 turns and one came out, figured it was just a little loose from shipping or something and put it back in plenty tight, a couple moves later another popped out. I like the puzzle but can't seem to turn it without pieces falling out... Will probably have to glue them or something...

  • I got my Curvy today, and I LOVE IT! It's the 2nd hardest puzzle I have for intuitive solves (I can't seem to wrap my brain around sq1), and I think it's my new favorite! Thanks for the tutorial! I thought I'd have to refer back to it, but while I was tapping my foot waiting for the video to load, I solved my problem.

  • doesnt orientation come before permutation?

  • 0:00

  • Yay I just bought a Curvy Copter. I can't wait until it comes :3

  • i tried step 5 for an hour and nothing happened

  • I don't know if someone else already told you that, but in my solution for this puzzle (that is exacly the same of your solution except for some little cases), in the corner-switching part I use an algorithm that is actually 2 moves faster than yours. holding the already matched up in the back-right side, you do F R B R F R B R. what id does is that it switches in a counter-clockwhise order the non-oriented corners. Anyway, great vid, as always!

  • this video is great problem you spelled curvy copter, curvy coper

  • 4:00 in to the video it looks like..,..

  • on ebay i got a sort of tetrahedal curvy copter does anyone know its name?

  • Can you do a pater vid?

  • Sub box broken

    :(

  • you talk a bit loud in the beginning of almost all of your videos. You even scared me once!!!

  • Thanks man! I just ordered myself a curvy copter cause of this. This puzzle just looks so much fun! When I get it though, I'll be viewing ur tutorial more than anyone else, LOL.

  • (RLB RLF)*2 will orientate 2 corners, even any situation, 3 or 4 corners.

  • Thank you for these videos :) I had my heli cube sitting scrambled for quite a long time.. I used to know a solution for a non-jumbling scramble but it involved many algs so I forgot it and now couldnt solve it, but when I watched your videos I will probably never forget how to do this again, because your method is so easy to remember. And as a bonus I can now do it w/ jumbling ! :) Thank you for doing this once again :)

  • @16darkclone I'm glad I could help!

  • thanks to your first video (where you unbox it) I've bought the curvy copter from mefferts.com, no i'm really looking forward of getting these puzzles as they have not yet came via the mail.

    keep up the good work!

  • 317th!!!!

  • Awesome!!!

  • You should do a tutorial for the Axis cube. There are others out there, but I think you would do a really nice job with it. :D

  • third

  • Both of these videos were excellent. I don't even have the puzzles, but I watched both tutorials in full. :D

  • @MangoTangoFOx HA! Now you need to get one!

  • @redkb Yea, I am really interested in the curvy copter! But im not in the least bit wealthy, so $20+ for one puzzle is a little overwhelming. :/

I am buying 11 puzzles this weekend, but its more of a birthday gift from my aunt.

The total cost is around $110 including shipping. It averages out around $10 per.

I really think you have the best cubing videos on youtube. You know what your talking about, have a great camera, and voice. Can we see that rubiks cube skateboard?

  • @nichpett mefferts.com

  • Thank you!

  • @SuperUtubewhore Thanks for a good first comment!
