Thanks so much for this!! Upgraded CPU from the shitty M that was stock in my uncle's Acer 3680 to a c2 T5200. Win7 runs much better now. The M ran at 100% CPU all the freaking time...
the info is very brief but i wonder if its possible for me to just change my faulty motherboard instead of replacing the entire devices on the mainboard, since i spilled a couple drops of water onto my keyboard
thanks for posting this. it has been very helpfull. i soldered a new socket onto my existing power board. now this video is helping me get it back together. socket costs $5.98 online. sweet!

nothing is impossible, but i believe it would need some extra work and tools to make it done ;) theorically i do think it's possible..
