Were Giana Sisters, Ghosts and Goblins, Commando, The Last Ninja, and International Karate ever released in America? I'm going to show my friend the C64 for the first time and I want some games with amazing graphics and sound for the C64. But I live in the US.
Then I had this other game I thought was called archanoid, but I looked it up and that wasn't the right name. I just remember you flew around in some cave or maze like area and you could build a suit and shoot and things and certain areas had like. There were like chains blocking you from going certain ways. Then there was 10th frame bowling and leaderboard golf (had that on my 386 too LOL).
I had every game in both videos. I also remember Karateka. Then there was that game you fly around in a helicopter trying to bomb the factories before they build that super ship. I forget the name. Then there was battle chess. Then I had this other game where you had all these different types of characters and you played on something like a checker or chess board
@adric22 ok I found the name of the game that was played on a chess board. It was called Archon. I don't know why i never thought of that strategy for Spy vs Spy. I had both games. I remember a bunch of these games. I'm going to download aC64 or C128(had that one too) emulator and go back and play some of these games.
@SonicBoomC98 The game with the helicopter is called Raid On Bungeling Bay. It's a great shooter, one of the best on the C64. Did you know it was made by Will Wright, creator of SimCity and The Sims?
You can't review all famous C64 games in 10 minutes, so you should focus on different types of games to show software wariety: racing game, shooter, flight simulator, karate game, Mario game and so on.
hideo kojima created metal gear and metal gear solid.
metal gear solid is a reimagining in 3d of the original game's (not game's, not a spesific game) using the same charachter's like solid snake, fox hound and big boss.
do you need baby letters.
but this is not a comments page for metal gear..
so unless you want to discuss the commadore c64...piss off
I guess you could have mentioned the origin of Giana from the demoscene. Also (as I'm sure you have bome aware of), you've shown IK+ rather than the original International Karate at the end of this chapter

@SonicBoomC98 - I also had BattleChess - it was a very cool game but on the C64 it was very slow.

@snake2006 my god what a childish imature individual.
this video and my original comment had nothing to do with metal gear or metal gear solid, but you continue!
your obviously a nutcase, cause you've even named yourself after a character in metalgear.
if you cant contribute to the comments relating to the c64, please go to a youtube page about metal gear.
i said series, not game, so i am kinda right anyway, but its such a tiny issue to create all this retarded wailing

and for the retard

back to c64 before some other retard makes a comment.
what i was saying is when my msx died the only machine i could find that equaled it and with sheer number of great games title beat it was the c64.
it was a machine that had its flaws, but had charm of its own.
loved the games the sound and spent to long on that machine rather than doing my homework.
right hopefully we wont have anyone else bringing up rubbish thats got nothing to do with subject, which is the wonderful c64 and its games
cant1rac 1 year ago
International Karate only had 2 characters on screen, you and the opponent.
IK+ which you showed in the review has the 2 opponents besides yourself.

was an msx user, then my brother left an easter egg on the vent, destroyed it, by then it was hard to get a new msx.
so i tried amstrad spectrum and the c64.
the c64 was the only computer that came up to the msx high standards
gaming quality was just as good.
where on the msx you had metal gear solid series, vampire killer (castlevania) etc
the c64 had flimbos quest, creatures 2, speedball 2, stuntcar, leaderboard, kickoff, shadow of the beast.
the best of the 3 big main 80's home computers

@cant1rac
Metal Gear Solid was never on the MSX. MGS started on the PS1.
Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake was on the MSX. Big difference between the 2.
snake2006 1 year ago
@snake2006 i know that, 2d top down, dont nit pick
cant1rac 1 year ago
@cant1rac
I have to nit pick because they are 2 different series.
The solid was a pun for Metal Gear entering the 3D world.
They just have a overlapping story with the Solid games, but they are still 2 very different series.
snake2006 1 year ago
@snake2006 no your being an nitpicking arse.
everyone knew what i ment, and it was a typo.
your the only anal arse that feels the need to make an issue of it.
i think everyone knows the difference and dosent need an education from you.
metal gear 2d, metal gear solid a 3d reimagining of the original games.
sorry mate but i do on ocassion type the odd mistake, as unimportant as this mistake is
cant1rac 1 year ago
@cant1rac
Well get it right next time.
MGS is NOT a re imagining of the first 2 games, not by a long shot.
Sure MGS has some elements taken from part 2, but it is not a remake of the original games.
Don't make mistakes next time and I won't have to correct your stupid ass.
snake2006 1 year ago
@snake2006 my god listen to yourself man, so involved in your self importance!
no one said its a remake.
so far up your own ass, your pontificating crap no ones said.
its you who making the mistakes my freind.
a reimagining is completely different to a remake.
no one said remake, no one implied what your crazy little mind thinks they did.
all this crap cause i inadvertantly typo'ed (solid).
my god if this is all you waste your time with, god help you!
you must be one sad virgin son of a bitch.
cant1rac 1 year ago
@snake2006 anyone with half a brain, would have realised its a typo and i actually ment, metal gear.
to make such a song and dance the way you are, well thats sad.
infact i dont want to discuss what metal gear is compared with whatever.
just want you to get lost and stop wasting my time and everybody elses time.
my post was not about msx or metal gear, just c64 is the best i found to replace my old msx, back in the day.
cant you just accept what a post was put up to convey about gaming on c64
cant1rac 1 year ago
@cant1rac
And anyone with a brain wouldn't make a stupid mistake like that.
Your time is fucking useless, just like you are beyond useless. But that's not my fault.
I am done here. You have already proved you know jack shit about anything. Good day.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the fan conversion of the Giana Sisters into Super Mario Bros. It was almost as popular as the 'original' game.
