M4 carbine actually does not have the full auto function. M4 Carbine can only have burst and single fire. The M4A1 on the other hand has full auto and burst fire function.

The first M16 adotped by the military was the M16a1e1 and that is fully auto.

Triple burst only limits the shooter, not the weapon.

It is responsible for many deaths and is still the death count is still rising as i write this comment.....the M16 is good for sport though.

I'm pretty sure they're both select fire single / triple / auto, and the M4a3 has a removable carrier handle while the M4a4 is designed without the carrier handle in general.
